Dallas Cowboys 2026 Outlook: A Potential Top NFL Offense?

The Cowboys boast a top-tier offense but face concerns with their defense, possibly affecting their playoff hopes. Can the offense repeat last year's success?

Video Transcript

The team that fascinates me is the Dallas Cowboys, 'cause this is a team that's pretty much in the skill position on offense.

They're bringing everyone back.

I mean, Dak Prescott, and Pickens, and Williams, and CeeDee Lamb.

They've got tight ends.

They There is, there is no reason why Dallas cannot be another top four, top five offense in the National Football League.

The defense is gonna decide what happens, but I don't know.

Are you, are you buying the Dallas Cowboys, especially offensively this year?

I wanna buy them offensively, I do.

I, I really think that their overall offensive rank, their quarterback situation, receiver situation, as you said, tight end, running back, like they have so much returning production, to use that phrase again, that it's crazy to think that Dak won't throw for 4,000 plus yards again, and that they can't score 28 plus points every single game.

It comes down to their defense, which looks, as of now, to be very middling.

Very, very middling.

And, you know, maybe Cowboys fans can look at that as a compliment because they've been so terrible in some of the recent years, that if they're just average, they win h- 50% more of the games that were coin flip games over the past few years, maybe they just win half of those games, and all of a sudden they're in a playoff spot.

And, you know, can they get a little bit of turnover luck in their, in their favor?

Because variance can be a good thing and a bad thing.

It's, it's not only a bad thing.

If they get a little bit of turnover luck, and they get a little bit of variance on their side, then maybe their off- their defense, excuse me, that's, you know, 15th or 16th in the league can be a top 12 defense, and it doesn't have to be amazing, and that can push them just a little bit further because I'm not sold on the Eagles, I'm not sold on Washington when it comes to the NFC East, and there's a potential that the Cowboys could push themselves to a division win.

Does Dallas have the best one-two wide receiving group in the NFL?

Who would you put up against Pickens and CeeDee Lamb and Dak Prescott?

The only I would put Puka and DeVonta and Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins.

Like, to me, those are the top three overall.

You wanna put- Okay one ahead of the other, 1A, 1B, 1C.

You wanna put this team ahead.

It's almost personal preference at that point.

But that's really what I see as the top overall.

You know, not many teams have a s- truly second strong receiver.

I would personally say Puka, DeVonta as the number one duo, and I would put, CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens number two
