Cowboys at 3-5: Five Coaches Who Could Replace Brian Schottenheimer

Jerry Jones is backing Brian Schottenheimer after another ugly loss and blaming the players for Dallas's 3-5 start. Schottenheimer signed a four-year deal before the 2025 season, and Jones has a history of waiting for contracts to run out. This breakdown looks at five candidates for 2027: former Bills coach Sean McDermott, who won double-digit games every season from 2019 to 2025, and Jaguars defensive coordinator Anthony Campanile, whose unit has improved over the last two years. Also on the list are Seahawks DC Aden Durde, Chiefs DC Steve Spagnuolo with his three Super Bowl rings, and Commanders coach Dan Quinn, who still has ties to Dallas.
