How Dan Muse's Coaching Decisions Helped the Penguins Secure a 4-3 Win

Dan Muse's in-game coaching decisions played a major role in the Penguins' 4-3 victory on Saturday. After a sluggish first period, Muse challenged his team, and later called a critical timeout during a 5-on-3 power play after four ineffective man advantages. The timeout, coordinated with assistant Todd Nelson, helped settle the players and turned the momentum. The win was especially important as the Islanders won and Columbus moved level with Pittsburgh at 79 points in the standings.
