Dana White discusses matchmaking philosophy for Gable Steveson’s UFC debut

Olympic gold medalist and two-time NCAA champion Gable Steveson will make his UFC debut at UFC 329 on July 11 in Las Vegas. The Gable Steveson UFC debut at UFC 329 comes with his opponent still to be named, and UFC CEO Dana White said matchmaking will be handled carefully. White, speaking after the UFC Winnipeg card, cited "UFC jitters" and said matchmakers will find the right fight at Steveson's level. Steveson is 3-0 in MMA with first-round finishes and has trained with Jon Jones. He last fought at Mexico Fight League 3 and will headline Real American Freestyle 9 on May 30 in Arlington, Texas.
