Dana White, Khabib Nurmagomedov comment on Usman Nurmagomedov's free agency

Undefeated lightweight champion Usman Nurmagomedov has become MMA's most sought-after free agent after completing his Professional Fighters League contract, drawing immediate attention to his next destination. Following his win over Archie Colgan at PFL New York, UFC interest was acknowledged by CEO Dana White after UFC Belgrade, with a subsequent smiling emoji on social media. While a UFC move is rumored, re-signing with the PFL remains possible amid its merger with Most Valuable Promotions, as CEO John Martin and co-founder Jake Paul signaled they want to keep him. Khabib Nurmagomedov wrote that Usman is the best lightweight outside the UFC, citing recent performances. Negotiations are expected over the next month, with a decision on which league he will compete in to follow.
