Dave Roberts Defends Leaving Snell In Before Brewers' Back-to-Back Homers
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts is standing by his decision to send Blake Snell back out for the seventh inning of NLCS Game 3. The move backfired in a 6-2 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers that puts Los Angeles on the brink of elimination. Snell had allowed one run through six innings with nine strikeouts. He then walked Andrew Vaughn, gave up a home run to Jake Bauers on the 11th pitch of the at-bat, and served up another to Garrett Mitchell before he was pulled. Roberts said Snell's stuff still looked sharp and he wanted three more hitters out of his starter before turning to Evan Phillips.
