Former New York Mets third baseman and captain David Wright shares his thoughts on Steve Cohen's policy to not name a captain as long as he's owner. Plus, Wright says Bo Bichette reached out to him to see if he was coming down to spring training and looks forward to helping the new man at the Mets hot corner.

Will you talk to or work with Bo Bichette at all, do you think, or no?
So, I was, you know, excited and surprised when, Bo reached out and asked if I was coming down and if I had a few minutes for him.
So I'm not sure what, direction that's gonna go into, whether it's, third base or, you know, New York- or whatever the, the, the question set is, but I'm excited to, to get spend some time with him.
I, I don't think he's I could be wrong.
Is, is he playing today?
I'm not sure if he's in the lineup or not.
No.

So today would probably be the good day to do it since he's not, he's not in the lineup.
So I'm assuming that we're gonna get together at some point after this.
What do you think about the possibility of being the last, the last Mets captain?
Well, I feel kinda old, and when you say it like that, it's, you know, it's, it's, I haven't really thought much about it.
But I will say that, you know, and this is well documented.
But when, you know, I was named captain of this franchise, it was the highest honor and the biggest honor, you know, I think that I'll ever receive on the baseball field.
So, you know, I don't take that lightly.
