The NFL has completed their investigation into Broncos outside linebacker pass rusher, Jonathan Cooper, and it's not a good result for the Denver Broncos.
I'm Rob Grajcsak of ADZ Sports.
Please be sure to like, follow, subscribe, keep up to date with all of the updates and information, because as you can see, it has been a very busy weekend in the NFL.
On top of all the cuts, all the different trades, this is when we find out who's going to be suspended and for how long.
But in the case of Jonathan Cooper, it's probably a little bit worse than a suspension because he has officially been placed on the commissioner's exempt list.
We saw this with Terrion Arnold the other day, Saturday, and then the same thing happened on Sunday, earlier in the day, with Josh Jacobs of the Green Bay Packers.
And essentially what the commissioner's exempt list is, you're suspended, but you're suspended for as long as I want you to be suspended.
There is no finite amount of games like you would have for a illegal substance or a hip drop tackle or unnecessary roughness.
No, it doesn't work like that.
Roger Goodell is the judge, the jury, and the executioner in this case.
So when he feels like Jonathan Cooper has made amends and his legal situation has cleared up, Jonathan Cooper will be allowed to play football again.
What does that mean for the Denver Broncos?
Absolutely, positively nobody knows.
It's probably why you've heard such good reports about Q. Robinson.
Of course, you still have Drew, Drew Sanders is still on the roster.
The Denver Broncos were going to have one of the, if not the best, defenses in the National Football League again, thanks in large part to Nick Bonito and Jonathan Cooper being your edge rushers.
Exit Jonathan Cooper, and now there are some extremely big question marks in that room.
So who's it gonna be that steps up?
I'm gonna put my money on Q. Robinson, former Alabama grad here.
Watched that guy play a lot of snaps there.
Never could really realize his full potential, but you could always see the flashes.
You could always see the ability.
Now it's just about realizing that.
I think he can do that with the Denver Broncos coaching staff, which is obviously one of the best in the National Football League, bar none, on both sides of the football.
But nonetheless, this is a major, major blow to the Denver Broncos and their defense.
You guys let me know in the comments below, what do you think of this?
How disappointed are you as a Broncos fan?
