Detroit Lions Stock Watch: Who Shined Against Bengals?
Examining which Detroit Lions stock rose after the first preseason game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Let's explore whose stock rose after the Lions' preseason loss to the Bengals.
It was a contest on the road at Paycor Stadium, and the Detroit Lions took the field for the first time in their preseason opener.
Now, unfortunately, it was a loss, but there was a lot of positives to take away.
The defense early on after giving up a touchdown following a turnover, really settled in, and most notably, the player of the game, Ahmed Hassani.
is a player that throughout practice has showcased his energy, passion, growth, and he manifested that he wanted to sack Joe Burrow.
Dan Campbell believed it would happen, and right away, the talented second-year player who's battling for a spot on the 53 man roster, earned a sack on Joe Burrow.
Later on, also earned another sack.
So a player with a lot of energy.
Definitely had his stock rise.
Ahmed Hassanin is a player now that many maybe doubted could make the Lions roster given the depth at defensive end, but now for sure, he's a player that is firmly gonna be on many people's 53 man roster in the, in their latest projections.
Running back, Jacob Sailors, I think, has been holding his own all throughout training camp with the injury to Sion Vki.
No player has taken it.
Advantage of an opportunity better than Jacob Saylors.
He's a hard runner, really excels on special teams, and when you see what he's able to do, hitting the hole, being able to uh showcase what he can do out of the backfield as a receiver, he's a player that had his stock rise, no doubt about it.
Nick Whiteside continues his solid play in training camp.
He had a stretch there where he was getting an interception every single day at practice.
And you realize this is a player that's taken advantage of an opportunity, learning, growing.
Has made it difficult for Ennis Raystraw to earn more reps on the first team at training camp, and against the Bengals, you realize that this is a player that is able to be sticking in coverage, can make plays, and realizes that when you see what he's able to do, he's gaining confidence with each performance.

Eric O'Neal, you realize an undrafted free agent has an opportunity at defensive end to make.
You know, make some noise, and we're seeing snaps early in the 1st quarter against the Bengals, and he saw, you know, saw work against the Bengals starters, and he looked in good shape, handled everything well, and you realize that he is still close to the bubble, but with performances like that and continuing to make plays.
In in prime time, in moments where the coaching staff is giving him opportunities, I think that the player that's flown under the radar at camp, pay attention, Eric O'Neal, defensive end, and the player that has had an up and down start to training camp, but really showcased his physicality, and a player that is sticking out when it when it matters most, Skyler Gill Howard, and I think that the defensive line earned some praise, but he had himself a good performance, um.
He was all over chasing the Bengals' quarterback Johnson, and you realize, you know, that when you chase a quarterback that's elusive, like Johnson, you realize, my goodness, it's a nice defensive play, and his what people have noticed is at 280 pounds, he's able to move that frame.
an athletic manner and can be impactful as a defensive lineman.
He's got to showcase a little bit more at training camp, but in a primetime performance, Skyler Gill Howard rose his stock.
So those are the players, those 5 players really acclimated well and had a good performance against the Cincinnati Bengals, raising their stock in this week's stock watch.
