Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo discusses Ryan Waldschmidt's option to Triple-A.

We sent out Waldi, uh, postgame yesterday, and , um, you know, he's, he's a, he's in a good spot.
When you, when you talk about his career and the trajectory of his career, he's exactly where he needs to be.
He came here, he had some impactful moments.
He learned, I call them sightlines.
He got, he got a new version of what it's gonna.
He saw the version of what it's going to take for him to come back here and be successful.
Without doing that, you never know.
You dream of this opportunity.
He got it.
He held his own, but I think there's there's more to him than just holding his own.
I told him to come back here and have an all-star mentality because he has that capability, but he's got to figure out parts of his game.
Um, you know, controlling counts, uh , not, not going up there trying to do too much damage on pitches that he can't necessarily do damage on, and that's just a learning experience for a young hitter, and he's going to go back down there and find his way back into this lineup at some point this year.
I firmly believe I was, I was going to have to be a little bit creative with 3 or 4 guys for 2 spots, maybe 5 guys for 2 spots.
Lourdes is going to play a little.
left field is going to DH.
Paven's going to do the same, so I feel like I can fill in their at-bats, um, Paven and Lourdes in, in that, in that way.
But, uh, with Lawler emerging and Tommy Troy doing a really nice job, I just felt like the bats were going to dry up for, for Ryan.
Um, and you know, like I said, he was doing fine, but he's better than fine, and I want him to go down there and learn how to be great, and he will be.
