How Did Trevor Story Fare in his First Rehab Appearance?
The Boston Red Sox' veteran shortstop began a rehab assignment with Triple-A Worcester on Sunday as he works his way back from the injured list.

Reinforcements are on the way for the scuffling Boston Red Sox.
More disappointing news on the injury front ahead of Sunday's series finale as the team placed Justin Slayton and Masataka Yoshida on the injured list.
However, it wasn't all bad news, as Trevor Story made his first rehab appearance with Triple A Worcester, getting the start at shortstop and batting second.
In Story's first at-bat against former big league starter Spencer Arrighetti, who's now with the Toronto Blue Jays, he worked a nine-pitch at-bat before launching a ninety-four mile an hour exit velo fly ball to center field for a flyout.
His second at-bat in the game came in the top of the fourth inning with the Woo Sox trailing nine-nothing and Arrighetti still on the bump.
After seeing nine pitches in his first at-bat, Story was way more aggressive in his second, jumping on a second-pitch sinker from the Bison starter, ripping it ninety-eight point six miles an hour in between the shortstop and third baseman for a single.
He would come around to score on a home run hit by number twenty-one ranked prospect third baseman Mikey Romero.
Defensively, he had only one opportunity to field his position, catching a looping line drive in the second inning before being lifted in favor of Sung Shi Cheng in the top of the fifth.
Story's been out of the lineup since May sixteenth, so he'll likely need several more games in Worcester or Double A Portland before providing some much needed reinforcements to a Red Sox lineup that has lost six of their last ten entering Sunday's finale in Pittsburgh.
