The Dodgers have announced two individual player World Series ring giveaway nights for Shohei Ohtani and Clayton Kershaw, and I love the trolling that they're doing with the Kershaw one.
So in seven days on July 28th, the random World Series ring night will be going down, where you will have a chance to get one of five different rings.
However, Ohtani will now get his own on September 2nd when the Dodgers host the Cardinals.
Then when the Dodgers play the Padres on September 22nd, Kershaw's third World Series replica ring will be handed out to everyone.
Now, if you remember, the Padres decided to pop up this picture of a crying Clayton Kershaw on the Petco Park big screen back in 2023 when the rivalry was heating up.
But San Diego has not been the same since that very moment, and it feels like the rivalry is dying down now since there's just no competition.
On the other hand, Kershaw has gotten two more World Series rings since the Padres did this, so I love that LA chose this game for this giveaway.
And you can never go wrong with anything Shohei Ohtani on the giveaway schedule.
Once Shohei Ohtani's playing days are over, I'd be really curious to see how many giveaway nights in total the Dodgers did for him.
