Which is something the Dodgers crazily haven't done a whole lot of in the last 10 games.
Had that losing streak, three and 10, three and seven now in their last 10 games, had that seven game losing streak to begin the month.
This is what Dave Roberts recently said about the super team that we thought was gonna waltz to a third straight World Series title.
We're a wild card team right now.
A- and, you know, we gotta get going a- and play with urgency and, you know, I think that we gotta make sure we not, we don't get ahead of the playoff situation and talk about, you know, winning now, winning today and winning tomorrow and, you know.
So I think that that's the, the thing that, you know, we need to get to, and then deal with whatever result.
But I think that's part of the, "We're gonna be okay, and we're good," you know, that's not good enough.
A- and clearly it's not, given how we've played over the last month.
I mean, I, I, I love Dave Roberts.
It's the reason why- Yeah you see so many people like playing for him.
But he says, like, you know, you can't just brush this one away by saying to me like, "Ah, it's a long season.
You go through patches like this."
He doesn't wanna do that.
What would you make of that, what, what we just heard from Dave Roberts, CC?
I li- I like that message.
I like that.
He's talking to his team right there, right?
Less, less, less to the media and talking to his team about- Mm-hmm you know, we gotta get going and, and, you know, we can't just, kinda waltz through this thing.
But, but, you know, that team is great and, and I think they'll, they have enough veterans they'll figure it out.
In 24 we went into the playoffs and the Padres were the best team, right?
Until, you know, game four or five and the Dodgers were able to win that series.
Last year we go into the playoffs, they're in the wild card and everybody's like, "Oh, you gotta watch out for Cincinnati."
Shohei hits the first ball out that he sees, and then it's the Dodgers all over again.
So, you know, I, I just think that this, the, the season's long.
We're in August.
You know, this team is, is a, is a veteran team.
They'll, they'll get right.
They're, they're gonna get healthy in September.
You know, Blake Snell's on his way back.
Glasnow's making- Oh you know, uh- Yeah rehab starts.
So they got some reinforcements on the way and, and I think this team will be fine.
I think, you know, every year, every summer they go through this thing, right?
This lull where they, you know, are trying to figure out where they're gonna, you know, how they're gonna, you know, make it through October and- Yeah it's just a, it's a long season when you play through the World Series the last two years, you know what I'm saying?
And then you want me to get up right away again in April and then, you know, push all the way through August.
Like, I used to always just tell guys like, "Just get me to October."
Yeah.
"I'll be ready.
Like, don't worry about what's happening right now.
When it, in October, October 1st, I'll be ready."
And I feel like that's how the Dodgers feel.
Yeah, August is the, I- August has to be the hardest, right?
It's just like, oh, it's gotta be.
August is terrible.
It sucks.
It really does suck.
Yeah.
We'll get through it
