Dodgers Weigh Benching Ohtani for NLCS Game 3, Down 2-0 to Brewers
The Los Angeles Dodgers are considering benching Shohei Ohtani for Wednesday's Game 3 of the NLCS as lingering left knee and right biceps problems slow their superstar. Milwaukee leads the series 2-0 after Monday's 7-4 win, when Ohtani went 0 for 4 with two strikeouts. Through six postseason games he has no extra-base hits. Manager Dave Roberts said Ohtani doesn't feel great and planned to talk with him Tuesday, and the Dodgers have already moved him down the batting order. No shutdown has been announced. If Ohtani sits, prospect Josue De Paula could take over at designated hitter.
