Yeah, I think if you're the New York Rangers, you're never really completely rebuilding.
I think you're always kind of straddling that line with, you know, we gotta fill up Madison Square Garden.
You know, we've, we've gotta get more fans than Taylor Swift is getting this, year with her wedding re-registry than, just because we are the Rangers and we can't go full on.
So, I don't know.
We were talking about the teams in the Metro, and I didn't include them in my, you know, teams in the mix that could make the playoffs.
So, you know, it Call it whatever you want, it, it's not a playoff team, even with Dorofeyev there.
And obviously, you take Trocheck out and it's even worse.
So, you know, Mike Sullivan wasn't able to, you know, work his magic last season.
I don't think it's gonna happen again this year.
Yeah.
I mean, it's, it's also a weird spot for New York because they have Igor Shesterkin in net.
So I think you rightfully say to yourself, like, "Well, we have a chance every night."
And if Adam Fox can sort of get back to, you know, Norris caliber hockey, that's huge on the back end.
I, I don't think they're better than they were.
You know?
Like, Dorofeyev, as good as he is, and we talked about this earlier in the week, like, who's getting him the puck?
Is it Mika Zibanejad?
Is it JT Miller?
Like, m- like, maybe that works.
But neither of those guys are Jack Eichel.
And you know, I l- I like Bjorkstrand, I like the Sean Durzi move, but it's just, it's that s- the sum of their parts, right?
Where it's just like it doesn't feel like it's quite enough, especially with the subtractions, Trocheck being the most obvious.
So it feels like, you know, they could go on a run because of those foundational pieces they have, but I don't know how sustainable it would be, particularly if they manage to get to the playoffs.
