What does a potential 2028 golf schedule look like?
Golf Channel's Rex Hoggard and Ryan Lavner expect the next couple of weeks to be pretty busy for PGA Tour CEO Brian Rolapp.

Yeah, we've been angling towards this really since the Players Championship, since Brian Rollup talked about wanting to have something to roll out to the public.
And what we're looking at is the 2028 schedule and this new competitive model that we spent a lot of time speculating about, talking about, trying to report about, and the idea that he's creating a track one and a track two system.
Roughly 20 events on track one.
It's essentially going to be filled with signature events, players championships, majors, playoff events, trying to get the top players together more often.
And then I think there's a lot of details that we probably have a million questions about.
I don't know if we're gonna have answers today.
The policy board started meeting this morning.
They're not here at the golf course, they're meeting in West Hartford.
The idea being that they, they started meeting at 10:00 AM, they're gonna go till 3:00 PM this afternoon, at least.
There's a lot of ground to cover.
Right now the plan is to have a player meeting tomorrow morning about 9:30-ish, and then Brian Rollup's supposed to meet with the media at 10:00 AM.
We'll see what they have to roll out.
Ryan, what do you think the next few weeks look like for Brian Rollup?
Because there's been a lot of speculation.
Players, we saw it with Rory McIlroy last week, players are reacting to the rumors and speculation on some reporting that is out there.
But not a lot of facts, hard facts on the table.
He's now moving into the timeframe where the facts are out there.
He does put out his vision.
So if people are going to feel aggrieved, they will actually know what they're going to feel aggrieved about.
Do you sense that he's going to have any kind of an uphill battle, or are you kind of anticipating that the vision itself will carry the day here?
Well, look, I think one of the hallmarks of Brian Rollup's tenure to this point, and it's, it's the one-year anniversary of him being introduced as the CEO of the PGA Tour, is that he has been very transparent with the players, with the player meetings.
He's had an o- sort of an open door policy as it relates to, to wine, to talk to players, and pick their brains.
So I don't think there's going to be necessarily any surprises about what the eventual outcome is.
And keep in mind, three months ago at that Players Championship, he has already sort of said what he's indicated that he wants to do.
Again, what we all have questions about are the details, and that's what's gonna be most important to the PGA Tour membership as well, was, whether it relates to, to eligibility, promotion and relegation.
Those are sort of the details that the PGA Tour membership is going to be most, most sort of drilling down into.
What we don't know, that's gonna be kept coming out on Tuesday, is we're actually going to get those answers.
Keep in mind, this is still for 2028.
Also be curious to find out, on Tuesday and beyond whether any changes are gonna be implemented for the 2027 season, even if they are sort of of the, of the limited variety.
And I'll be more direct than my friend here is, 'cause he's can be a little bit more verbose, as you know that, Eamon.
But the idea is, yes, there is going to be more pushback.
I think what Rory McIlroy did last week probably set the standard.
It was a not so subtle jab.
He called second tier events essentially g- glorified Korn Ferry Tour events.
He said he's going to play the schedule that he wants to play.
I think we start hearing those types of things from a lot of players because they all have their own self-interest, and this is usually when they start cropping up.
But keep in mind, the players who are here, 72-man field here at the Tournament- They're in signature events Championship signature event on the PGA Tour, they're probably not gonna be concerned about track two- Mm-hmm and what a potential glorified Korn Ferry Tour event.
So you're gonna have to wait till the full field events on the PGA Tour to probably get a better representation- of how those players are feeling about the vision.
