Draymond Green Hints He’s Open To Leave Warriors If Need Arises; Explains Skipping No-Trade Clause
Draymond Green said he is open to leaving the Warriors if circumstances ever require it, while explaining why he chose not to include a no-trade clause in his current contract.

Draymond Green has made it clear that he's committed to the Golden State Warriors, but if the organization ever decides to move on, he won't stand in the way.
The four-time NBA champion recently addressed his future on The Draymond Green Show after signing a one-year, 27 point $7 million contract extension with Golden State.
Green explained that he essentially returned on the same financial terms after the Warriors were unable to land LeBron James in free agency.
Speaking about the deal, Green also addressed reports that his contract does not include a no-trade clause.
He admitted that it was something he could have pushed for, but chose not to.
"It was reported that I did not receive the no-trade clause.
No, I didn't.
I think it was something we could have fought over, but it wasn't worth fighting over," Green said.
He then explained why.
"If the Warriors want to trade me at some point during the season, they wanna trade me.
I've never been a guy who wants to stay somewhere where I'm not wanted."
Green added that he has always viewed his relationship with the Warriors as a partnership.
"If this works for us, it works.
If it doesn't, it doesn't.
I never wanna be that guy anyway, so to sit and fight over a no-trade clause, I don't think it was worth it."
The comments come after months of speculation surrounding his future.
Before last season's trade deadline, Green's name surfaced in reports linking him to a potential deal involving Giannis Antetokounmpo, although no trade materialized.
There were also rumors during LeBron James' free agency that Green could leave Golden State if James joined the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Those reports faded after LeBron instead committed to the Philadelphia 76ers, with Green soon confirming his own return to the Warriors.
At 36 years old, Green says he still hopes to retire with the franchise.
But if moving him one day helps the Warriors improve, he's made it clear he'll understand the decision.
