Have you felt like he's evolved his speech pattern, like how he motivates or how he communicates with you guys?

Definitely, um, he's had to change.

I think a lot of people forget when Steve first came in, he was a first-time head coach, you know, like he had zero coaching experience when he came here, you know, and so just the evolution of that over the course of the last 11 years alone in itself, uh, soon to be 12 years, in itself, that'll change someone, right?

Like the things that you learn, I think in his communication, um.

He's grown so much in his communication on how to communicate with players, um, you know, how to have tough conversations.

Tough conversations are tough for anybody.

Like, people don't love to have tough conversations, let alone as a coach, right?

I think he's gotten so much better in those departments, you know, I think he's gotten so much better and just understanding the lay of the land, understanding that.

The kid that comes in the NBA today is not the kid of yesterday, you know, it's a totally different kid that comes in the NBA today than before, right?

And so having to learn those kids, right, like everybody talked about the relationship, uh, Jonathan Caminga and, and Steve Kerr, and A as if our head coach and player relationships are peaches and cream.

I'm here to tell you that's complete bullshit.

Yeah, but Jonathan Caminga is different than any player Steve Kerr has ever coached.

That type of athleticism, that skill set at that age and the demeanor and mindset that Jonathan Caminga has, is a mix of things that Steve Kerr has never had to coach.

And to think that, man, after 6 months, you're just gonna adjust to that, you know, like, no, it takes some time to adjust to that, right?

And I think he's adjusted and learned this kid, oh, you know, year after year after year and become more familiar with how to coach him but that takes some time when the guy you coached is Steph Curry.
