All-star year, fantastic.
Sure.
Yeah.
He's running out of steam.
I, he looks like it's a fatigued arm.
Wouldn't shock me if he maybe misses a start sometime in the near future here, especially now that they got Castillo in there, maybe to give him, a little extra rest.
But I, I mean it was over before you knew it.
A grand slam in what, the first inning?
And that was, that was all she wrote.
Boston goes on, and runs away and destroys them.
Game two here tonight, and who else?
Sonny Gray, who was supposed to be on another team.
Craig, call me wrong.
If we go back, I don't know, 40 days.
Let's go back to last week in June.
W- wasn't Sonny Gray and everybody else on this Red Sox team supposed to be playing someplace else?
But now, not so much here.
And Sonny Gray, minus 140 favorite over Berk and the White Sox.
White Sox better figure out how to score some runs in this series if they're gonna take any of these games.
Yeah, Caleb Durbin was that grand slam yesterday.
Durbin- Yeah was ironically acquired in the trade with the Brewers for Kyle Harrison.
Harrison went to Milwaukee.
Really?
Durbin went to Boston.
And Durbin was so good with Boston, I'm sorry, with Milwaukee last year, Joe, that it was sort of stunning to see the Brewers trade Durbin to Boston.
And- Wow Harrison comes over immediately because Harrison was in the Devers trade.
And they trade him to Milwaukee.
Harrison is incredible for two months.
Durbin can't hit 200 for two months.
Yeah.
And now- Yep Durbin is on fire all of a sudden now.
And so Durbin, the trade looks fair for both sides.
It looks like a good trade for both sides.
Yep.
The, the Red Sox are continually trying to fill out their infield.
They're trying to figure it out, you know?
Yes.
But the, the posi- the, the, the, the b- they're just so hot right now and I don't know, it'll stop eventually and then we can start fading Boston, Joe.
But until that happens, I mean, you gotta be crazy betting against them right now.
And may- maybe you don't wanna bet them, and I understand that, but you gotta be crazy going against them.
And now the other part about Boston too, Joe, and this is why there's gotta be a lot of optimism for this season.
Now maybe it's possible Craig Breslow traded a lot for the future, so I don't know what it's gonna look like.
But for this season, Joe, Roman Anthony- Garrett Crochet, are those guys coming back too for them this year?
Yeah.
That's like getting two players at the trade deadline, you know?
Like, that's- That's a good point tha- that's a lot.
And Roman Anthony is good, and Crochet is really good too.
Yep.
So.
Yep.
I, I did see today we finally did So moving away from Boston, I'm doing two stories at once.
Sure.
So that's good for Boston.
So what I was saying in my, thinking in my mind was now all of a sudden the Yankees are probably saying to themselves, "Wait a second here.
Sh- we gotta look behind us here for Boston."
But then the Yankees got some good news today.
Finally, Joe, Aaron Judge is back to ba- is back to not baseball, but light activities, and did his first interview on the field about 30 minutes ago and said And Judge is not a liar.
He's not.
He is very truthful when it comes to stuff, you know.
No- not that Jazz is a liar, but when Jazz says stuff you just can't believe it, just true.
Right.
But, Judge said he's coming back.
Judge said he will be back this season.
So that will be- Interesting when, I don't know, but if you assume that Judge comes back in September and the Red Sox get Crochet and maybe Roman Anthony back in September, and those teams face off against each other, it may not be for the division, but Joe, it could be for that first wild card.
It, it is possible- I, I agree that, that- I agree g- that first, that first wild card team's hosting games, you know?
Yep.
They're hosting three games at home.
And it c- Well- and, and the Yankees and Red Sox wouldn't face off against each other.
But if the Yankees end up taking care of the Red Sox, that means the Bronx gets three home games in that wild card.
You're feeling good about that if you're the Yankees.
And if not, now all of a sudden- Yep you're New York, and regardless of what you think about Cleveland, they're going on the road to Cleveland, you know?
Like that, that's- Yeah that's what it's gonna be.
So it's big at the end of the year.
It's big.
