You know, a kid in LA who showed all the promise in the world in the post-season, but just couldn't stay healthy.
They signed him to a short one-year deal.
I mean, Dustin May has been good, Joe, for the Cardinals, and I don't know that they're gonna trade him in a month from now.
What are they gonna do?
He had a perfect game going into the seventh inning, and then he gave up a hit to Tats and Manny Machado.
He ended up throwing, are you kidding me, a complete game, one-hit shutout.
Dustin May, Joe, was that guy for LA that couldn't go five innings.
They would start him, he'd go two or three, and he would come out of the game.
He's still only 28 years old, but this kind of speaks to this strange Cardinals season where everything that can go right has gone right for them, including Dustin May.
He struck out the side in the sixth and the eighth inning there, Craig.
I mean, he, he, the ball is moving, shall we say.
He's not overpowering guys, but the location and the ball movement on his off-speed, has been tremendous.
And he kept them, Craig, I'm talking on, on edge.
And let's face it, the Padres lineup has been struggling a little bit, but my goodness, it, to allow him to go nine, that was impressive.
Man, that might be one of the best outings we've seen from him in a very, very long time
