Coach, we saw some of the familiar faces teased in the trailer.
Sue Bird, Paige Bueckers, A.Z.
Fudd, Rebecca Lobo, Maya Moore, Breanna Stewart, Sarah Strong, on and on.
You spent decades telling these women what you thought of them.
Now you had to sit here and hear what they thought of you.
How uncomfortable, how heartwarming, how enlightening was that for you?
You know, that's a good way to put it.
I think it was all those things.
It was heartwarming in the sense that the kind of effect that we as coaches have had on those players that have come through here.
You know, if you played and you know that that sacred place, that locker room, and that team bond, that's real and, and that has an effect on us as coaches, them as players, and that doesn't go away.
So it was great to hear that.
It was obviously hard to hear some of the effect that the grind and the demands and the pursuit of perfection had on them as they were going through it.
But what came back to me was, do you regret any of it?
Would you go back and do it again if you knew you were gonna get the exact same results?
And I think they would say yes.
Matthew, you called the Patriots docuseries Shakespeare but with football.
Would you describe this as Shakespeare with basketball, or how would you describe this one?
I don't think it's Shakespeare but with basketball.
This is just a story about sort of superheroes going through incredibly extraordinary circumstances where on the biggest stage, how are you gonna show up?
And it's not a Shakespearean drama.
There's not as sort of much palace intrigue as there was in that one.
This is just a story about finding greatness within yourself and, and, and realizing your actual potential.
It could've been Shakespeare if you'd given us four more episodes.
I, I You're, you're really getting the full Geno experience right now.
Uh- This is great.
