Ex-UFC champ Holly Holm provides timeline for end of fighting career

Holly Holm said she expects one or two more bouts and plans to end her combat sports career within a year. On The Ariel Helwani Show, the former boxing world champion and UFC titleholder discussed MMA and boxing plans after a controversial split-decision loss to Stephanie Han under Most Valuable Promotions. She emphasized seeking "big fights," not necessarily for a title, while keeping to a one-year retirement timeline. Holm last fought in MMA at UFC 300, losing by submission to Kayla Harrison in April 2024, and is 1–2 recently in boxing. Her 2015 knockout of Ronda Rousey elevated her profile; Holm remains open to a rematch that Rousey has publicly declined.
