Feeling 'free' after win, Clark back in contention at Memorial
Wyndham Clark won the CJ Cup Byron Nelson two weeks ago and is back in the mix this week at the Memorial. He spoke to Todd Lewis after his opening 67.

Great day for it with the clock 67 out there today.
I wanna look at your back nine.
You made the turn at 100, then you birdied 10, heck of a birdie there, 11, 12, another great birdie, and then the eagle on 15.
What momentum did you feel like you grabbed on that closing nine?
I mean, it kinda all started with the save on nine.
I hit it in the rough.
I was in between going for it or not.
my caddy, Big Wave, talked me into laying up.
We hit it to about six feet, made a nice par, and then we went on to make three birdies in a row, which was great.
Actually missed a short birdie on, 13 to keep that streak going.
Great save on 14 and then, you know, got lucky on 15 making a, whatever, 40-footer for eagle.

Not only do you study the strategy of the game, obviously the mechanics, but also making sure that you're sharp mentally.
You're coming here off a victory at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson.
What did that do for your attitude now as you progress this season?
Well, definitely a lot of relief.
I was kinda on the outside looking in in these, signature events, and now that I know I'm for sure in them and in a good spot in the FedEx, it kinda just feels like I can free up and, and play really good golf, and I, I feel like that's coming here soon.
