Hello, welcome back to the Jeff Press podcast.

My name is Justin Fried and I'm joined as always by my good friend Mike Luciano.

Mike, I feel like this summer has flown by, and we are now just a couple of weeks away from week one.

We are a couple of days away from the preseason finale from roster cutdowns.

on a Sunday this year, which kind of annoys me.

Like I, I'm pissed because that's always such a busy weekend for us or a busy couple of days for us, and now the whole weekend is gonna be consumed by it, but I'm excited.

I'm excited for this final preseason game.

I'm excited for our 53 man roster predictions, which we're gonna be doing today.

Well, I'm excited for my birthday, which is on Saturday.

That's right, yeah, yeah, the 2 29th.

That is true.

I, I'm excited for, I'm weirdly excited for this season.

I, I am too, Mike.

Like I don't, is it even weird at this point?

Like, it's just been so long since we've had any semblance of optimism around the Jets.

I mean, really, it's been a year because look, we tricked ourselves into optimism this time last year too, but the final 3 was the most excited, and then, then it's this year.

But the, the final month and a half of last year, especially that final month.

Some of the most miserable football that I've ever watched, and, and we've been Jets fans for our entire lives.

So that's saying a lot.

So I'm excited to just be invested in this football team again.

I don't think they're winning 10 games this year, but I'm excited to at least watch possibly competent football, at least maybe competent offensive football.

How crazy would that be?

I don't think it's.

I always think back to Aaron Schatz and we had him on the podcast saying that the Jets are currently in the middle of the 2nd worst, uh, offensive futility streak in NFL history.

So we can break out of that, fine.

It feels like it.

Tomlinity rumored for 2027.

I'm sure you saw, and including Lamar Jackson, A Jeff Hanson, I'm sure you saw that.

I don't know how much we're gonna talk about that.

You know, I look, I don't wanna talk about 2027 head coaches.

That's the thing, I hate speculating on 2027 head coach candidates before week one of 2026 has even arrived, right?

Like, I'm rooting for Aaron Glenn to be the head coach of this Jets team going into next year, and I think a best case scenario for the organization is that he is, and that they win some games, and I mean, best case scenario, the Colts end up with like a top two pick, and then the Jets are a 500 or better team, like that's probably the best case scenario.

I, I.

Obviously, look, Tomlin and Lamar Jackson being, you know, it's hard to say no to that, right, if you're looking ahead to 2027, but I, I'm going to wait on any of that speculation until they start playing some football games and then we're not talking about Arch Manning either, same reason, not yet, a little, little too far in the future.

Maybe we will, maybe we won't, who knows.

The quarterbacks will be a unique discussion because like they're gonna draft one, right?

They're not definitely firing Aaron Glenn.

We, we think like there's a, there's a chance that that happens and if obviously things go poorly , it's probably gonna happen, but, you know, the quarterback thing, like I'm sure we'll talk quarterbacks at some point this season, probably earlier than you would in a normal year earlier than we would, but I don't want to talk head coach candidates unless there's a reason to it this day.

Brian Glick, 1 win per week, that's the right.

That's the right mentality.

It's true.

Let's talk roster.

Let's talk rosters.

We got a little handy handy dandy graphic that I made here on Canvas.

It's not high tech or anything like that, but we want to go through position by position and and disclaimer, Mike and I have not.

Discuss this ahead of time.

We're gonna do this together on the show.

What's, what's to say?

Fuck it, we're gonna do it live, right?

That's.

That's what we're gonna do right now.

Uh, so we have 3 little like indicators here, 53 man guys, guys who are, you know, of course, on the 53 man roster.

Practice squad.

This isn't gonna be like a definitive 1617 player practice squad because I imagine the Jets will have external additions there, but this is gonna be like guys who we think could be practice squad candidates, and then cut guys who probably aren't making the practice squad.

So.

Let's start with the quarterbacks.

Uh, I feel like this one is fairly straightforward, at least as far as guys that are currently in the room.

Geno Smith, Kate Klubnick, certainly locked into 53 man roster spots, right?

So we'll, we'll go ahead and we'll give them the, the green color here, right?

They're 53 man guys.

Now, Zay and Cook.

What's your take on Zappy and Cook and what's your take on what a race it's been, a race it's been for QB3.

What's your take on those two guys and also maybe the Jets could go out and add somebody else?

Like, do you think either of them are on the practice squad?

Do you think either has a chance at even making the 53?

What's your thoughts?

I think right now, see, here's what I think about this.

Number one, I think they'll at least peruse the market.

I think one big name will shake loose that maybe you didn't think, like Andy Dalton or I've mentioned it's kind of a pie in the sky candidate like an Aidan O'Connell with the Raiders who could, you know.

A guy who could be, you know, an upgrade over club, like, I don't think there'll be too many of those guys, but you never know.

I think with QB3, I think they'll just stick with familiarity here and keep one of these guys around.

Now, if you asked me before the year, I would have thought Zay would have been the guy , because Brady Cook was as bad as I've seen any Jets quarterback, and I'm not even joking, like he was that bad last year.

So why am I keeping him?

Well, they've said from the outset pretty much that Zappy and Cook are competing with each other, and if we're gonna go off what we've seen in the preseason, Brady Cook has been provably a lot better than Bailey Zappy.

Now, again, like we mentioned during the whole, remember the whole Trevor Simian thing a couple of years ago and the Tim Boy, like, if either of them are playing the season's lost anyway, and that's, you know, a moot point, but If the, if the question is which of the two will perform better, performance wise, it's not even close, it's Brady Cook.

So I think he would stay probably as a practice squad guy.

And the thing as well with, if we're talking about just specifically practice squad quarterbacks, cause I do agree with you, Mike.

I think the Jets will be active looking for potential quarterbacks to bring in , and if an Andy Dalton or, you know, an Aidan O'Connell or whoever, right, shakes free, then maybe they do make a move.

The thing with bringing in a practice squad QB3, you don't see it that much because those teams have to, like those players have to learn the, the playbook, right?

It's a lot harder to get a quarterback, especially a practice squad quarterback acclimated than it is.

A running back, right?

Like you see practice squad running backs or whatever, like the, like I, I think the the the Jets are almost like, I predict right now that the Jets bring in a practice a practice squad running back.

I don't think any of the guys that they've had in camp have particularly impressed me.

Um, so that's that's an easier position to add somebody at.

It's a lot harder with quarterbacks, so I wouldn't be shocked that they do stick with that familiarity and they do stick with Brady Cook.

So we'll, for the time being, put him here in yellow and we'll say that he makes the practice squad, and we'll say Brady Bailey Zappy is cut, which.

Again, man, Zaia started NFL games.

He started what, 8 or 9 NFL games to be won a couple of them, yeah, 4 of them.

He won 4 games.

Mac Jones needed to beat him out again after he started a couple of games in his rookie year, to be as definitively and wholly outplayed as he has been by Cook this summer, which, you know, look, credit to Brady Cook, it's possible that he's improved and obviously he, while he was awful.

Last year in his 4 starts, it was also an impossible situation for any quarterback, let alone winning any games with that team, right, let alone a rookie, an undrafted rookie being asked to throw to Arian Smith and Brandon Smith and John Mechi and who and the defense with me and you at corner.

Like that was an impossible situation for any young quarterback.

So it's possible that he's improved.

I'm not particularly excited by Brady Cook.

QB 3 and obviously I hope that neither him or Zappy play this year.

Uh, but this is a good transition before we get to running backs.

We had a question from our subtext.

You mentioned it briefly, but the question from, uh, from one of the members of our subtext, again, subscribe, it's free.

Uh, they asked, who are some possible veteran backup QB options that could shake free at as cutdown day approaches.

I like Klubnick, but I wouldn't feel comfortable with him at QB2 at this point.

The other two guys aren't even word spots in the practice squad, so.

For starters, let's start with the Clubnick thing.

I would be very surprised if Klubnick was not QB2 to start the year at this stage.

It feels like there was a time where the Jets could have added a veteran quarterback, and there was a point where that could have happened.

Once we saw how little he was playing in at least that first preseason game, that kind of told me like, OK, the Clubnick's QB2.

Like they, I know he played a lot in the second preseason game and varying results, the back, I would say, yeah, the backup offensive line didn't help him out there, but.

The Jets clearly had earmarked Klubnick for the backup quarterback role when they drafted him.

Like, go back to April, they, they made the decision right then.

They're like, all right, barring him looking like a disaster, he's our backup quarterback this year.

Like that's why they drafted him, and he hasn't looked like a disaster, has.

He run away with the QB2 job?

I certainly wouldn't say so.

I don't think he's lit it up this summer, but I think he's been all right.

I think he's looked like an NFL quarterback, and that's what the Jets are hoping for.

I agree that I don't feel comfortable with him as QB2.

If Geno gets hurt and Klubnick is starting like 4 games, right, for you early in the season, there's a chance the season could could get away from you, like just like that, which is why it's a little surprising to me that a staff that is on the hot seat that knows they have to win games this year is putting their faith in Klubnick, but.

That shows how much they believe in him, right?

And whether that's because they want to prove themselves right for that pick, or it's because they, they truly believe in him as a talent, maybe it's a mixture of both.

They believe that Klubnick is going to be QB2, and I, I think that'll be the case.

As far as another quarterback that they could bring in.

You mentioned it in O'Connell, he could shake free in Vegas.

Uh, you know, Will Levis is a name that I, I think Levis gets cut at this stage.

I don't, I don't even think I would, I wouldn't mind taking a chance on him.

I would, as a practice squad quarterback, he's better than you bring your Titans playbook really quick?

100%, Mike, like, and, and the thing is, any name we're talking about here, they're probably going straight to the practice squad or, or QB3, like Clubnick will be QB2 to start the season, right?

Even if it's an Andy Dalton.

He's gonna have to learn to learn the playbook.

I don't know if he's QB2 to start the season, and also Dalton has not looked particularly good this summer, so who knows what he's even got left in the tank.

Another name that I'll throw out there that I haven't seen a lot of, a lot of people mention , Sam Howell.

Seems like Joe Milton is kind of firmly locked up QB2 in Dallas.

So only problem there is Sam Howell got a couple million guaranteed from the Cowboys, so they may just hold on to him.

Does he?

Does he really?

I didn't, I didn't know that.

Yeah, he got, he got.

I think guaranteed money when he so they're gonna carry three quarterbacks, you think then probably, yeah, but it could, it could happen, you never know.

And it's also a situation you, you swing them a 2028 7th, maybe they bite, right?

Something like that where it's just like, well, you need an extra roster spot.

You don't want to eat the money, we'll eat the money for you and we'll have this guy as our QB3, maybe QB2 if we don't think club makes ready.

How's at least started games at the NFL level.

So there's gonna be guys like that, uh, you know, outside of that.

You know, you, you're looking at practice squad guys, right?

And it's just, again, it's tough at the quarterback position because it's so difficult to evaluate how a quarterback would perform in your offense, right?

So a lot of times you lean on that familiarity, so you're looking out there and you're saying, hey, is there anybody in the league right now that has experience with a Frank Reich, right?

I don't think Carson Wentz is going anywhere, you know, he's, he's in Minnesota, and it sounds like he might be QB too, especially if JJ gets dealt and to the JJ, to answer the JJ McCarthy question, no , the answer is no, not because he's worse than Brady Cook cause he's not, but like, but just we don't need that.

There's no upside.

Like, I forget if we've talked about the McCarthy thing on the show, but my quick 32nd tangent on that is just, what's the ceiling of bringing in JJ McCarthy, because you're already trying to develop Klubnick, right?

You already have him earmarked for your QB2 job.

If you bring in McCarthy, he's QB3.

Like, I don't think, I don't think McCarthy is gonna be QB2 at any point this year, cause they want Clubnick to be to be that guy.

So you're bringing in McCarthy for him not even to get a lot of reps in practice, not really gonna develop, he's not gonna play this year, barring a disaster, because even if Geno gets hurt, you're going to Clubnick.

So then what's the point?

And in 2027, you're likely drafting a quarterback.

Why even do it?

What's, what's the point?

And now you're just muddying the waters of your quarterback room.

So that's, uh, you know, I've seen the JJ McCarthy stuff, even beyond the fact that he's just a bad NFL quarterback.

Doesn't make sense to me, but is there any other name that I haven't mentioned, Mike, that you think the Jets could look at a quarterback?

I think we covered it.

Uh, we got a couple comments from Levy and Marion.

Thoughts on, uh, Lava and Moore, and excuse me , I read that wrong.

Thoughts on Junior Bergen.

Uh, we'll get to him.

We'll get to I'm gonna make it.

We'll get to him.

We'll get to Edge rusher.

I'm excited for Nately.

I'm excited.

And then, uh, 10,000 needles, who, uh, I still think that's too many needles.

Am I silly for being a little excited for the season this year?

No, offenses look pretty good.

Oh yeah, it's from Final Fantasy 8, duh, jeez, what, 10,000 needles?

Yeah, that's a thing from Final Fantasy.

That's the thing you would know that I would, I would, does that, no, Seth Roth was from 7.

I was getting them.

Oh God, who's the one in 8?

That was back in the days when games would come on two separate discs because they were so big.

Now they come on no disc disc too.

Now there's no discs.

Well, I will say most people, uh, don't buy physical discs anymore.

People, well, I'm just, you know, the whole GTA controversy.

I don't know if you've seen that, but that's a whole, that's a whole thing.

I don't know if you've seen any of that, but anyway, Brian also asked Utamis, of course that was Final Fantasy 8, duh, sorry, 10,000 needles.

Ultimisia was the guy I was thinking of.

No, no one's gonna care about this, but you needed to, I needed to get it, cause that would have been one of those things where it's like you don't think about it and then it's 11 o'clock at night and you're like, oh, sure, that was me with Isaac Nada like a year ago or whatever.

Uh, Brian said, fellas, when you're done with the 53 man roster prediction, uh.

Should the Jets claim a player or two on waivers?

I mean, I expect them to be very active.

I'll probably have some sort of an article like I did last year, and I'm, I'll plug this right, I will, I will cheat plug myself here.

Last year, when I put out an article, I was, I was uh 10 players that the Jets could claim on waivers after that, like after roster cuts.

Ssay pole and Jelani Woods were both on that list, and the Jets claimed both of them, so.

Just gonna throw that out there and get into that later.

Woods may have a shot here.

You know who else was on that list?

Nate Lynn.

Mike, last year.

Last year at this time, and one of the Jets claimed Nate Lynn.

They did not, but now he's on the team now.

Uh, but yeah, we'll, we'll get to that, Brian.

Honestly, we'll probably talk a lot of positions specifically that they could target.

I don't think quarterback is a position they're gonna go.

Waiver wire for, uh, but we could transition here to running back and I'll actually, I'll keep this running tally going in the top right here so we got two players now we got, we got advanced slide little tally, right?

So I'm gonna, I'm gonna say top 4 guys here all locks.

We're gonna say Kenne Wongu is a lock, right?

Yeah, he's the kick returner and then this is again barring like this is assuming everybody's healthy kind of thing.

So we're going running backs.

Isaiah Davis sounds like he'll be back for week one.

Bruce Hall, same thing there.

Of course, Braylan Allen is looked good this summer as he tends to do, but I'm, I'm starting does that a lot.

I'm starting to kind of buy in.

I don't know.

And then Kenne Wongu, look, man, not a running back.

If, if, if this preseason has told me anything about Kenne Wongu, he is absolutely not a running back and not someone that should ever be taking snaps at the position, but he's a pretty damn good kick returner.

In fact, legitimately reverse Cordero Patterson, just try to make him Debo Samuel, right?

Maybe, but he is he'd be great at, he'd be great at rugby .

Oh yeah, and awu, yes, yes.

So would a Correll Patterson.

So would guys like that.

They're just big dudes.

So now the big question is basically, because I don't think Dominic Richardson is gonna even really be a practice squad guy.

They just added him this week.

Yeah, so the big question is, is Chiprey and him gonna make the practice squad.

I, I, Mike, I, I say no, like I, I have not, like, I know Trina was the, the big, like, one of the more notable UDFA additions that they had, like this was a former, I believe, 4 star recruit.

He played at Arizona State, I believe, played at Ohio State for a little bit was, was a linebacker for a little bit, and then he rushed over 1000 yards last year at Toledo, if I remember correctly, go shout out to Mac, uh, but he was a big name , but.

You know, he, he lacks juice.

Like that's kind of the best way to put it.

He, he looks like he's like this summer, it looks like he's kind of been running pretty slow, hasn't made a lot of, uh, he's not, he's not big enough to where you can overcome it.

Yeah, it's like big , but not like just this Glendale White sledgehammer where you could be run a 4.740 and still be an effective runner in the NFL level.

Yeah, so I, I wouldn't mind the Jets going out there and just adding someone else to their practice squad.

Like I, and maybe even a veteran, right, if, if you're worried a little bit about Isaiah Davis and maybe that's.

You know, he's not even out there for veterans.

I don't know.

I mean there's gonna be, I mean, Trey Benson is gonna be out there once he's got, I think he went back to the Cardinals.

He did, but I'm assuming they'll reach an injury settlement.

I'm, I'm assuming.

But if no team claimed him, then, you know, who knows, maybe, maybe, maybe he's just not healthy at all.

Uh, there, there, there's always veterans that, that shake free.

I mean, I think Raheem Mostert's out there if he's not retired already.

Uh, bleak, there'll be guys that get cut.

Amir Abdullah, who's still somehow in the league, shout out Amir Abdullah for putting there like a 12.

Your NFL career Raheem Mostert, that's what I just said.

I said, 00, I, I was thinking of some about Miles Sanders ignoring me.

My, my, no, OK, Miles Sanders might be the only guy with less juice than Chip Trina.

Alexander Mad actually, Alexander, sure, Alexander once again, not a lot of juice there.

I want somebody that can at least like run faster than a 4.

Well, tough luck because there ain't anybody.

That's true because you know what Dominic Richardson's 40 time was.

He, uh, rushed for 1000 yards at Tulsa last year, but you know what his 40 time was, Mike?

4.

7-1, no, 466, but also not particularly fast.

So I, I'm , I'm fine saying both of these guys get caught and neither makes the practice squad.

If either does, it's gonna be Trium, of course, the, the Jets did also have Sam Scott, uh, undrafted rookie out of Wyoming, who I thought marginally flashed more than Trium, but also not a lot there and he.

He got hurt and he's now on IR.

So talk about splitting hairs.

Yeah , but I, I think this is a prime position that I expect the Jets to add somebody else to their practice squad.

It hasn't, none of these guys in camp have impressed me.

And normally each year there's usually one running back that like one undrafted guy wherever every fan is like, oh, this is the guy like last year was Donovan Edwards.

It was, we were talking about it last week, Travis Dye, right?

Was that his or um.

Is Travis Dye the linebacker, Travis is the running back, Troy Dye Troy Dye is the linebacker, yes, both Oregon guys.

Um, Travis Dye, like there's usually one guy in camp that it's like, oh man, this dude's gotta keep him around.

I really feel like it hasn't been the case with trying him.

Now that could change.

Try to rushes for 80 yards in the final preseason game, maybe he earns a spot, but as of right now, I think the Jets probably go elsewhere for a practice squad running back.

Sti wide receiver, the wide receiver, so now we're up to 7 here.

I'm gonna have to do this for each of them, but we're up to, uh, to, or I'm sorry, 66.

I can't count, dude, I'm already losing count.

We got one digit addition here and it's already we're off the rails.

Wide receiver, the Jets currently have 11 on their team right now.

Um, a couple of guys like Colin Lacy unfortunately wasn't able to make an impact at all this summer.

He didn't play in either preseason game and he's now on IR.

Uh, the first, I would say 4 here are locks.

Like I would say there's zero question about the 1st 4.

I, I think Tim Patrick's probably making the team.

I wouldn't call it a lock, but I'd be surprised if he didn't make it.

I'll say that, um, and then Aaron Smith Winks.

Cooper might be on the, on the roster bubble if you listen to him or Cooper, but he might get cut as a rookie.

Who knows?

Uh, so those are the four guys that I think are like definitively locked in the spots.

I would say Tim Patrick probably makes the team.

Yeah, I think he makes it.

I, I think we could pencil him in here in green, right?

You know, it's not like a lock by any means, but I think he probably makes it.

Then the question goes to Arian Smith.

We had a question before, uh, in chat asking about Arian Smith versus Malik McLean.

I, I think those are the only two guys here who probably have a chance at that final spot.

Quincy Skinner slashed at times, but.

Wasn't really someone that was super productive in college, not a great athlete by any means.

Certainly possibly a practice squad guy.

Same with the Jamal Pritchett, who I don't believe played in the last preseason game, I believe he was banged up.

Uh, and then Junior Bergen, of course, the, the former 7th round pick of the 49ers, return man, who they picked up, uh, this past week, and much like Nate Lynn, flashed in his first game.

I just think he got here too late.

I, I don't think, I think he is probably competing with Pritchett for a practice squad spot as like that backup returner, so maybe one spot between those two.

What do you think about McLean versus Smith?

Well, it depends on kind of what they're going for here now.

Aaron Smith has special teams at his back.

He has the speed advantage.

He has, I guess, an experience advantage, even though it's a new offense.

He has, he has draft stock , draft status, draft stock too, so you got, you gotta factor that in.

Deonte Burnett, Deonte Burnett, little guy, Donald's buddy, he's like 54, but Also, I, I think normally I would say if there if Aaron Smith was not a 4th round pick, and Aaron Smith did not have special teams upside, then I think Malik McLean makes it, but.

You got, you gotta factor in those things right now, and I'll say, I'll say this for Arian Smith.

I know everybody's already kind of shoveled dirt on in this podcast included, like, I think he looks better than he has.

Look like he's made a couple of catches in camp, didn't really look completely out of it in the preseason, like.

There are, there are improvements, I think that Aeriot Smith has made.

Now, I don't know if it'll be enough for him to ever carve out a long-term role with the Jets.

I think that ship has sailed, but I think right now, Smith right now has the number 6 spot, but very, very tenuous.

I think McClain, the Jets are probably gonna do everything they can to keep Malik McClain on the practice squad, and I think the first sign that either Tim Patrick gets hurt cause he's old or Aaron Smith falters, I think Malik McClain is on the roster.

Uh, I got a couple of comments from the Jets study.

Uh, Smith looked good in training camp yesterday.

He lost a linebacker, and then, uh, Lavari and Morin, I think Junior is a sleeper.

I hope he gets more wide receiver rep, wide receiver reps.

I mean, he will this Friday.

He, he will because I don't think they're gonna play any of the starters.

So I imagine we're gonna see a lot of, he's just a weird evaluation because even when he was drafted by the Niners, he was drafted specifically.

As a returner, he wasn't even particularly great as a receiver at Montana.

Like he was, uh, I think he had like 600 yards his last year at Montana.

He was, you gotta get more than that if you're a Montana Grizzly, I think is their team name.

You gotta get a couple more yards.

Yeah, so he, he, he, the only path he would have is as a returner, and they have Kenny, they have Kenny Wongwu and Isaiah Williams.

So Bergen is gonna be a guy that maybe makes the practice squad if he's able to beat out Pritchett.

I, I don't think that's like a lock by any means, but.

53 would be tough for him, but yeah, we'll we'll see what he can do.

He's gonna get plenty of reps. You know, I, I think Mike, that Malik McLean has outplayed Arian Smith when it counts this summer.

Uh, Smith's made some plays in training camp.

He's had some frustrating drops too, but he's actually been been making some plays in the summer.

In the two preseason games, I think he's looked awful.

I know it's small reps or limited sample size, but.

He's really been involved in like two plays that I can remember, and one of them was a drop that led to a pick 6, or at least was it a pick 6 or a pick, I forget, it was a pick 6, right?

Yeah, and then the other was a block in the back.

I don't think he has a catch this summer in the preseason.

I don't think he's caught a pass, and notably, and this is perhaps the most notable if you are in the Malik McLean camp here, McLean was playing with the 2nd team offense in the 2nd preseason game.

Aaron Smith was playing with the 3rd team offense.

So McLean is, at least based on that, leapfrogged him in the receiving pecking order.

Now, does that mean that he's going to earn a roster spot over him?

I don't know.

I will also say, I think McLean's outplayed him as a as a as a special teamer, because, well, you know, you want you want Aaron Smith to be this, this gunner for you.

McLean is, is, I believe, PFF's highest graded Jets special teams player this summer.

He, of course, saved that that touchback in the first preseason game.

I think he had another tackle as a gunner in the second preseason game.

Smith had a block in the back on a special on a on a punt return from Trey Brown.

It's like his only special teams contribution of the entire summer.

So, based just only on the preseason, Malik McClain is wholly outplayed Aaron Smith.

That said, I think Aaron Smith makes the team over over Malik McLean.

I think Tim Patrick's hurting him too, because stylistically they're two big guys.

Well, we got an interesting take here.

Brian said Patrick's not making the 1st 53, so it is a situation where if you need to do some sort of roster gymnastics, you could probably cut him and bring him back.

You know, I, I think he'll be around the team.

I think he'll be around, yeah, Tyler Johnson, where it was like, oh, he got cut and then he's wide receiver 3 to start the year.

Uh, yeah, what was that?

That was weird.

Yeah, uh, it could happen.

I, I think Tim Patrick is not as safe as people think he is.

I think there's a chance that he like gets caught and it's just on the practice squad.

I also think that there's a good chance he's not active week one, cause he doesn't play special teams.

He hasn't really done anything of note this summer, not that.

Look, he's a 30-year-old vet, right?

He's there for leadership, for experience, for guidance, right?

He's not there as a game-changing wide receiver.

He's a depth guy who Udonis Haslam right now.

Kinda.

He's kind of the Udonis Haslam of the Jets.

So, you know, I think he's gonna be kept around in some capacity, whether there's a spot for him in the 53 or not, we'll see.

I think he probably makes it, and the only way he ends up playing snaps and the only way he's probably active is if one of Garrett Wilson or Adena Mitchell or even Omar Cooper Junior gets hurt, but Yeah, I think he's kept around.

I, I will say this, I'll say Arian on the 53 just tentatively, but it, it seems like you're in agreement on that one, but I, I certainly don't think he's a lock by any means, and I, honestly, Mike, he hasn't earned it.

Like, this is honestly, it's a little bit of a litmus test for Darren Mougie.

Like, it felt like Joe Douglas was really not willing to let go of failed draft picks and would just hold on, hold on and hold on.

We'll see what happens with Darren Muugie, cause this is gonna be his test.

There's a few guys in this 20 in that first draft class he had that.

Man, I don't know if they, I don't think they deserve spots on the 5th round roster.

Aaron Smith probably one of them.

If McLean flashes in the last preseason game, I could see him maybe taking that job, but I don't think he's flashed enough.

I think he's been better than Smith, but I don't think he's flashed enough, but I, I do think he's a priority practice squad guy.

And, and I do think if, if you could say to the Jets, like you could keep one player on the practice squad, like no matter what, cause they're all gonna do waivers and all that, you can secure one player, he's there no matter what.

I think they picked Malik McClain.

Yeah, and I, I'll say they, they probably keep 2 or 3 receivers on the, on the practice squad, you know, I think some fans tough like to keep basically 2.

Return or exclusive.

Yeah, I, I, I'm gonna give the nod to Pritchett over Bergen for now, just cause seniority and Bergen got here late, but I, I wouldn't be shocked.

And also if Pritchett's not healthy, that's another thing.

Pritchett didn't play in the last preseason game, so if he's not playing, you know.

then then Bergen's got the spot probably.

That I, I think is going to like other than maybe Tyler Barron, like other than no, not that I, I think the Jets have a like barring anything crazy happening in the preseason game or an ABT freak injury before the season starts, it sounds like they'll be pretty much fully healthy.

Like, obviously this will Bavarian, by the way, continues to hype up Junior Bergen.

He won't get cut.

Listen, I, if he makes the 53, I'd be stunned.

I truly stunned, but It's a cool story, and I hope he sticks around in some capacity, and I hope he's able to find a, I don't doubt that he could make it.

It's just, it's an uphill battle right now.

Practice squads, I think his best bet there, uh, but tight ends, we can, we can safely lock in, I think, 3 of these guys as definitive guys, uh, that are making the 53.

I had a couple of people on TikTok try to tell me Jelani Woods was taking Jeremy Ruckert's spot and The Jets just extended Jeremy Ruckert in December to a 2 year, $10 million contract.

Uh, Jeremy Ruckert is not getting cut.

And also, I don't even think Ruckert and Woods are competing for the same reps.

They play, they play different positions.

They play tight end, but they play different positions.

Brian mentioned his VJ.

VJ Payne is somebody that could actually start the year on , on, uh, would be short term IR, it wouldn't be PUP on short term IR.

That's what, that's a good call.

We'll get to them when we get to the safeties.

Jelani Woods is the one here that I think is on the bubble, but Mike, I, I, and Andrew Beck, but Mike, I think Woods makes it.

I think he makes it.

Here's my only caveat with that, because I wouldn't like keeping 5 nominal tight.

I know a fullback, but you know, fullbacks and tight ends are kind of used nominally interchangeably a lot of times now.

Like your fullback is less a less a giant running back and more a more athletic tight end nowadays.

That's why I put Beck on this slide.

A lot of people group back in with the running backs, and I hate that.

He, he, he is competing for a spot with the tight ends.

Like he's not competing with the running backs.

Now , here's where I think it could work because again, I mentioned before.

in the show, I'm not like totally in on Jelani Woods.

Like I think he's certainly shown a lot.

I think he's lost a little bit of a step, like even on that touchdown catch that he had from Geno Smith.

I mean, he did not look like he was running super fast there, and that's a guy who built his whole pro stock on being really fast.

But if Woods makes it, I think they're gonna basically have Rucker fill Andrew Beck's role almost entirely and be a fullback or a guy who almost entirely just blocks, which he's not an amazing blocker, but If you put him in Andrew Beck's role, then I think you get, you keep Rucker, you use Woods, how I think he could be used, and then also if Siddiq can't play for a game or two, cause he's still a little banged up, I think he gives you that versatility where if you want to play him in line, then you could here.

I don't think Jelani Woods is gonna be some would beat a world beater.

I hope no, oh no.

Live television, folks, that's a great, I, that's a new phrase.

I haven't actually heard that 10 no.

So now that we're, uh Mike, because we're children, uh, we have these, so, so I don't think he's going to be a world beater.

New insult just dropped, but I think that he has at least shown enough where after the injuries, he can get open against NFL athletes and make plays against NFL athletes, which that was always my concern was he had the good start to the Colts career and then think about how long it's been since Frank Reich was in Indianapolis.

Like that's how far back we have to go for, for Jelani Woods above-average snaps.

So that's a, that's a big risk you're taking.

by putting him in a prominent role.

But from everything we've seen , we can only go off what we've seen in the preseason, and from what we've seen in the preseason, he looks like he's worthy of being on a 53-man roster in the NFL.

So if you just move Rucker to the Andrew Beck role, cause I think he has more upside than Andrew Beck as both a traditional tight end and a fullback, then you keep 4, Sadiq and Taylor are still in their roles and everybody's happy.

Yeah, I feel very confident that Jelani Woods is making the 53.

I, I honestly feel more confident he's on the 53 than either Tim Patrick or Aaron Smith.

I, I think that Frank Reich adores him, he loves him.

He's been running with the first team offense for a lot of camp just because of Kenyon Sneak's absence, but that's not a guy that I think they want to, uh, to try and sneak through to their practice squad, especially cause they claimed him on waivers last year, and I think, if I remember correctly, they weren't the only team that placed a claim on him.

Uh, so I, I think they would be worried about him, about losing him.

Andrew Beck is somebody they can easily sneak through the practice squad if they want to keep him around.

I, I don't think Beck's going anywhere.

He's also a veteran that could just like, he, he's not, I don't think he's subject for waivers.

Don't, don't do my boy Connor Holstein like this, Justin.

Well, yeah, listen, so oh, don't , don't say it.

We'll say Woods on the 53.

I think Beck's a practice squad candidate, right ?

He's a vet that they can keep around.

He's not subject to waivers, uh, so he'd be one of the, one of the vet spots.

Chase Curtis was making some plays early in camp.

TCU undrafted rookie at TCU.

He got hurt in the last preseason game.

I don't know what his status is, but I think if they have 4 tight ends on the active roster and they have back on the practice squad, they probably don't need to use another roster spot or a practice squad spot on another tight end.

So I think we'll say uh red for Chase Curtis, he gets cut.

And unfortunately Marist alum Carl Holstein, look man, he's the, he's the bottom tight end on the, on the depth chart.

Maybe he makes some plays in the final preseason game and he's able to stick around, but uh, you'll see, we'll see, we'll see.

Brian Glick says if Siddiq is a big s. That's like another wide receiver.

Yeah, I, I think it's, there's a lot of positionless football going on here, right, where I think they kind of view Woods in a similar light to Siddiq, where they're gonna move him all around and as they are getting Siddiq caught up to speed, which it was a very telling quote from Frank Reich yesterday actually that.

You know, if, if you were still optimistic about Siddiq making early impacts, quote wasn't wasn't great, where he's basically like, well, yeah, we're gonna have to like kind of reevaluate what we do with him early in the start of the season, because we have these, I think the Jets had these, these grand vision, this grand vision for how they're gonna use Kenyon Sidiq, and they wanted to use him in all these different positions, and they just haven't been able to use him in anything.

They haven't been able to to to get him, uh, you know, on the field.

Just to quote Mike Luciano one more time, Woods is a world beater.

No, I wish he said that.

Uh, Brian said Woods and Beck have more guarantees in their present contracts than Patrick, but they can both be released for a few days and brought back later.

And in the past, they weren't able to do any, so they had to like, if you wanted to put a guy on IR to start the season, they had to be included in 53.

Uh, cause he left practice early yesterday, so there's no word on his status, no word if it's even injury related.

I'm assuming it's OK if we haven't heard anything, but something to monitor at least.

Uh, the other spots, you know, I think the, the chalk answer has been that the Jets would carry 9 offensive linemen, and it'd be basically the same group that they had last year plus Annez Cooper, so Max Mitchell, Chikuma Okorafor, Xavier Newman, and Ez Cooper.

When we're talking about waiver wire.

Positional or positions a target on the waiver wire, this feels like a prime prime candidate, right?

And maybe even, and maybe even I would go as far as to say even more so than waiver wire.

Mike, I think this is a position they might trade for.

Like I, I think if you're looking to add a quality, like look at what the, uh, the, the Chiefs just did yesterday with Josh Izutu.

I, I think that's a type of trade that the Jets could look to make, where they, you know, do some sort of a Jawan Briggs, Harrison Phillips type trade, and they get some backup interior offensive lineman, preferably a guy who could play center, cause they really don't have that, like Xavier Newman's been the backup center throughout camp, and he's not been particularly good.

He's had some snapping issues, like, if Josh Myers gets hurt, you're either moving Titman over to center or you're asking a guy to play center who's not a center.

So it's, it's not a good situation to find themselves in right now.

You know, I, I think Cooper is clearly a guy that they want on the 53.

Uh, Okorafor, I think is probably their best backup offensive lineman, maybe over Mitchell.

I, I think I'm fine putting the top 9 guys here as 53 spots, but like, I, I think Newman is an obvious guy that they could replace.

Uh, Brian Gleck, is that put Newman is the first guy to get cut and find a better prospect.

Exactly what I would think.

Cooper is a guy that they, they view as their backup guard, right?

Probably as their backup right guard.

If, if now say Pham were to get hurt, I don't know if they'd want Cooper playing left guard cause it's just not a position he's played much.

No, no, he was playing right guard, so he's like only played right guard.

So Okorafor, he's a tackle.

Mitchell, they have played at guard in the past, but he's, he's a tackle.

The reason they don't do that very often, yeah, so you know, maybe that'd be a situation where the guy that they're bringing in, they want to have that left guard center versatility, and maybe, maybe Newman just adds, gets added to the practice squad, cause I don't know if he's a priority of of the four chalk guys for the backups right here, cause it seems like the favorites are again Cora 4, Mitchell, Newman, Cooper.

Yeah, rank them in order of safest to most likely to get cut.

Uh, I think legitimately I think Cooper might be safest.

I don't think they're cutting Cooper.

Uh, I think he's just again, he was, he was not very good in the Steelers game, but he was so good in the Bucks game.

Mitchell and Okorafor feel kind of the same to me.

Like if they were gonna do a Harrison Phillips kind of trade for a veteran right at the end, that this is where they do it.

Newman is on the team because they don't have anyone better.

If they could find someone better, then, then he won't be on the team.

That's kind of how I would phrase that.

So Rob Serafinowitz, uh, question, uh, is it a mistake to pair Fashnu with league average left guards?

It doesn't appear Fashnu is a guy who makes those better around him, but a star left guard would be better.

Well, I will say you can't get stars at every position.

I think Pham is serviceable.

I will say one thing though, uh, cause again, we like Olu.

We think he's an above-average left tackle slightly.

Like maybe I think right now he's at, no, I think right now he's average.

I think Fascinu is a dead average left tackle who I hope by the end of the year we're saying is an above average.

I'd say slightly above average.

If we were gonna do 1 to 32, I'd say I don't know, 14, something like that.

OK, OK, sure, kind of, kind of right in the middle.

I will say though, every offensive lineman we're hearing, defensive lineman, excuse me, that we're hearing get to the quarterback at camp doesn't seem like they're beating Armand Membu a lot.

So how are they getting there?

They're be David, now look, we hope David Bailey is, you know, an all-pro defensive, uh, lineman because they picked him number 2 overall, but he has not beaten Membu a lot, but he's getting to the quarterback a lot.

So what does that tell you?

We'll see.

It's Faschenu.

It's a big year for, uh, for, for Faschenu, and yeah, I mean, look, I, I don't think there's any world where they're looking to replace Faschenu after this year, barring any kind of catastrophic injury or just a complete meltdown as far as like using cause he, Rob mentioned using one of those first round picks on a left guard.

Yeah, I mean, ideally you want to get another great offensive lineman in there, but I, I think they're in a spot where, one, I'd rather upgrade at center than left guard, right?

I just think Myers is a bigger weakness than what they have at Parham and Parham's under contract next year, and we'll see what he does this year, but I'm relatively bullish on what he could do with heard him a lot in camp, which is good for a lineman.

He's also one of those guys who's young that if he impresses with the Jets in this year.

To, that's probably somebody you're looking to extend.

So, uh, you know, I, I don't think they're necessarily going to be prioritizing using a top pick on a guard, just given how much they've already invested in the offensive line and how many other needs that they probably have.

If someone falls into their laps, maybe, and maybe this is something that they can address maybe 2nd round or something.

But I think if they're going to address interior offensive line next year, it's probably center is what I'm looking at more so than guard.

But it's it's a good question.

So let's go to the defensive line because Pork star here again says Nate Lynn has a great motor and should be on the team.

Let's talk about that.

Well, well , first we'll do an interior, so we'll get to that.

We're doing interior defensive line as a whole.

Sorry to ruin your, uh, your segue there.

It's the defensive line.

This is part of the defensive line.

Well, edges here.

I, I separated them.

Uh well, so we'll do interior defensive line first.

This one I think is pretty straightforward.

This is, there's no way you can argue anything else that there are 5 blocks, yeah, and then one I don't know if any of these other guys are gonna be on the practice squad.

Maybe Jack Heflin.

Yeah, the only way this wouldn't have been straightforward is if Sweat wasn't healthy or if any of these guys weren't healthy, but now that Sweat's back, he's been practicing fully.

Sweat, Onyamada, Phillips, Briggs, and Jackson are all locked so they fit the 53.

The real question for me is how it shakes out.

Onyamada's had a bad summer to this point, or at least a bad pre.

Season in limited sample size.

That's not something to be concerned about now, but if that carries over to the regular season, I would rather Jawan Briggs not become an afterthought in this Jets defense, and I'd like to see him playing a lot.

And the other question is, will Darryl Jackson Junior be a part of the rotation?

Will he be active on game days, to be determined.

I think he's had a good training camp, hasn't flashed in the ways that you'd like in the preseason.

Uh, as far as the other guys, Mozzie Smith.

Yeah, get your walking papers, man.

I think it, I think it's, I think it's Jerry, if you're still tuned in, uh, you got any thoughts on Mozzie Smith here?

Mozzie Smith has been outplayed by two of the other guys here, and that's Peyton Page and Jack Heflin.

I think both deserve practice squad spots.

Page has actually had an OK summer, I think, OK, yeah, and I, I think that's somebody you want to keep in practice squad, uh, Junior Tafuna, look, man.

Uh, might be one of the worst guys in the 53.

I think he's there.

I think he's PMFs lowest grade way to say that.

I think he's PFF's lowest graded Jets player this summer.

Uh, the thing about Mozzie Smith, this is what always amazes me about Mozzie Smith.

Last year , literally they were pulling school bus drivers and volunteer firemen and all.

These guys to go and play on them and they didn't even think about giving Mozzie Smith a chance.

No, that's amazing.

Yeah, Mozzie Smith is just one of those old school draft buffs where it's like, wow, this guy's just not an straight up can't play at all.

Just not an NFL player at all.

And you know, it's, I, I wish him all the best, but I, I don't think he will be, uh.

I don't, I don't think he'll be on an NFL roster this year.

Jerry's gonna plead the fifth on, on Mozzie.

Jerry, of course, runs our, our cowboy site, the Landry hat, uh, so he is quite familiar with, uh, with Mozzie Smith.

I just can't believe that I got, because again, Mozzie Smith was overdrafted when they got him .

I don't think anybody thought he was a 1st round pick, but pretty much everybody had him kind of like in that middle of day 2, that middle of day 2, middle of round 2 rather.

Like I, I actually, I went back and looked at my mock draft that year, and I had him going to the Cowboys with their 2nd round pick.

So I'm like, OK, like people thought he was a process and just can't play.

You very rarely get that nowadays cause just scouting so advanced and all that, and with money, like, even if you're bad and you can't play, like you at least get a runway kind of thing, very immediately, it's just, it was Christian Hackenberg, just, oh, I can't play, mistake.

It, it's surprising to me.

Rob said the Jets should call the Titans about Mozzie Smith.

Now there's no technical, oh, actually there is a connection.

Because isn't Aaron Whitecotton the D-line coach there?

Yeah, so Aaron, I don't even know if Rob meant that, but Aaron Whitecotton is the D-line coach in Tennessee.

So it's possible, and now granted, I can't imagine Aaron Whitecotton was thrilled with what he saw from Mozzie Smith in Dallas, but maybe you get me Mozzie Smith or I'm leaving.

I can't imagine you saying they can get an asset for Irv Charles, which, by the way, is Irv Charles making the, uh, was he was traded to Seattle?

Is he making the Seahawks roster?

I have no idea.

I don't think so.

But if they could get a potential asset for Irv Charles, yeah, man, why can't they get something for uh for Rosie Smith, you know, they can get something for Jordan Willis, why can't they get something for, I'm also not too concerned.

I know Onamad has been a topic lately, like, I don't want him playing over Briggs either, but two things.

Number 1.

Assuming Aaron Glenn would not play David Onyamada is foolish.

Those two guys are the best of buddies, and I feel like obviously Onyamada is gonna, and he was still good last year, but absolutely, he's been very good for a, for a long time now.

Yeah, so I don't wanna freak out about.

I'm not gonna weigh two preseason games over 3 years in a row of, I don't wanna say excellent, but very, very good above average defensive line tape.

He's an extremely underrated player, and he has been for a lot of his career, and Uh, you know, it hasn't been a great showing in the preseason.

He's been kind of getting bullied in the run game, but also, look, man, he's played 24 snaps.

Not exactly gonna use that as my basis of evaluation for David Onyamada, uh, but I would like to see Juwan Briggs playing a lot in that more interior, you know, pass, pass rusher like 3 tech roll, whatever you wanna call it, in this, in this 3-4 defense.

Uh, but I think that that does it for the interior defensive line.

We got 5 more additions, that brings us up to 30.

As we move to the edge rushers, and now this one is gonna be interesting because I think there is one of like one roster spot potentially up for grabs now we can, we can put the two guys in shock here.

We could say David Bailey, obviously the top 4.

No, really, David Bailey, David Bailey is surprised.

I, you know, actually breaking news, Mike, uh, sources, this is sourced information.

David Bailey is making the 53 man roster.

You could put that in, put that in ink before we get to the debating the end of the roster spot.

I gotta shout out Kingsley and Ibare because.

He got billed as edge setting run defender.

I believe he's had exactly 1 sack in each of his, uh, season with the Packers.

I think he might have gotten 21 year.

No, no, no, I, I thought he had like 4.5 or something.

I thought he, I thought it was like 1 or 2 every season.

I think it was, uh, he had 4.5 in 2024 .

Last year he had 2.

That's what it was.

I was getting my, uh, my players mixed up.

He's been like remarkably consistent though, like very similar numbers kind of every year.

That, that's what I was thinking of, but it was never particularly, uh.

Amazing pass rush production .

He appears to have taken a step forward as a pass rusher.

I know it's just camp, but, uh, you look at the last camp, I mean, he had sacks on consecutive plays.

He's forcing pressures.

He, I think, was over Will McDonald in the initial depth chart.

Obviously, David Bailey wasn't there either, but Enigbarra is with the ones.

I think he may end up playing a lot more than people thought so.

And I think he's gonna be a guy who I think he's gonna have a better year this year with the Jets than he had any of his four years in Green Bay, which is, I think , saying something cause Packers fans were, they weren't crying, and oh my God, how could this happen when Kingsley and Igbare left, but they were like, you know what, he's a good solid player.

I think he's taking a step forward.

Anibari is another one of those, and he doesn't get grouped in cause he's not as much of a vet as like the David Onamados and Demario Davis, but he's another one of those floor raisers that they brought in this offseason, where it's like, man, he's never gonna be a 10 sack guy, but he's gonna be somebody that is a reliable, consistent run defender who this summer he showed some extra pass rushers.

Now we'll see if that carries over into the regular season, but he.

He's a super consistent, dependable player, and he's also young, like he's still 26, I think he is, like he's going into his 5th year in the NFL, so there's every reason to believe like, yeah, maybe we still haven't seen the best of him.

I forgot who said it.

Somebody said this on Twitter, that they wouldn't be shocked if Anibari ends up leading all Jets outside linebackers in snaps this year and.

It's very possible, right?

It's, it's, I think I said that about Osa going into the summer.

Osa has missed a lot of time.

So I think Enibari has kind of claimed that role, and when the Jets roll out their, their starting base defense come week one, if it's Ennikbari and Bailey next to each other, I would, or, you know, as the two starting edges, I wouldn't be shocked at all.

I, I think McDonald, by the way, is firmly the 4th guy on this depth chart.

I think the other three are ahead of him.

I wouldn't say firmly, but I think he's not number 1 or #2.

I, I think he'll get used plenty, like especially in pass rush situations.

I think he is going to play the least of the top 4 guys.

Yeah, I don't think he's there yet.

I think by maybe, Uncle Mike predicts by week 5, he will be.

And, and that's tough.

I've, I've mentioned this before.

If they wanna look at a team like Atlanta or a team who needs a pass rusher, the Niners, maybe even the Titans, if Robert Salah wants another former Jet and somebody offers up a safety or a defensive back or an offensive lineman of some repute.

I, I think you consider it, cause even if unless Will McDonald just has this Elvis Dumervil crazy year where he gets 15 sacks, which I think he'll get more sacks than he had last year if he plays enough , because I think they'll be in more games, less run defense.

But man, if somebody gives you an offer.

Yeah, I think you consider it, right?

And then also if Nate Lynn is that dude, then Nate Lynn is your 4th rusher, and then you turn Will McDonald into like a Jesse Bates or an offensive lineman who's good enough, and then you roll with that.

Let's talk about Nate Lynn , Mike.

Let's talk about Natelin, who, by the way, my dad's watching Nate Lynn as a William and Mary alum, so is my dad.

So roll, roll, uh, tribe, right?

Isn't that what they say, or something like that?

Yeah, that's the tribe.

Back when he went, actually they were the Indians, and then they changed it to, uh, I can see why now they're the tribe.

My dad also, also claims he threw a peanut at the mascot, the, uh, like, you know, Native American mascot, and he knocked him down.

So I don't know if that's true either, but verified.

You can't knock a man down with a thrown peanut and a grown human being.

Let's talk about Nate Lynn though, because this is, I think, the guy that Jets fans are going to have the strongest opinions on, if he should make the 53 or not.

And, uh, David, by the way, and Jetson, kudos Justin for putting the word out on Lynn when he was signed.

Dude, last year at this time.

I wanted the Jets to to pick up Nate Lynn on waivers, and for those who don't know, I'll give you a very quick brief background on Nate Lynn.

I'm sure a lot of fans already know it at this point, but undrafted guy in 2024 out of William and Mary, which FCS Mary, I believe they're FCS, uh, comes in his first training camp with the Lions.

Before the preseason even starts, he's making waves, and it's like, as an undrafted rookie.

To be like kind of the talk of training camp, you got, you gotta be really impressed.

Without great athletic ability.

I think he ran like a 4.8 and he's not huge, but he, some guys just have a knack for getting home.

And, and he was the talk of training camp to the point where like going into that first preseason game, Lions fans are very excited to see what he could do.

And then that first preseason game comes around.

I think he had a sack and 5 pressures and like 3 run stops or something.

And then he blew up his blew up his shoulder.

His shoulder, I don't know what the shoulder injury was, but he suffers a season-ending shoulder shoulder injury, misses the whole season, brutal injury for a guy who was like genuinely making a push for a 53 man roster spot.

Comes back in 2025.

Once again, lights it up in the preseason.

10 pressures, which is 3rd among all players in the preseason.

I think he had like 3 sacks as well, had the high or 3rd highest PFF pass rush grade among all players in the preseason, and every Lions fan is convinced he's making the 53.

They're like, OK, he's clearly earned a spot.

This is two summers in a row.

This undrafted guy is coming and dominated.

He's obviously making the 53.

Pass rush room is very thin outside of Aiden Hutchinson.

That's had some injury years .

Can we get Aiden Hutchinson more pass rush depth?

And then he doesn't make the 53, and Lions fans are pissed, but they're like, All right, he's gonna be back in the practice squad.

And then Mikey didn't make the practice squad.

And not only that, he didn't make any team's practice squad.

The man was out of football.

He was unsigned until the Titans picked him up in in November.

And who is that, Justin?

That's right, the Titans, they play in week one.

They do play the Titans.

Now, he never played for Tennessee.

He was with them for a couple of months at the end of the year.

They, they signed to a futures deal.

He was cut in April, and once again, the guy was unsigned until the Jets picked him up last week.

Why?

I could not tell you.

I tried asking anybody who I know that covers the Lions, like Candace, Mike, we know Mike Candace, uh, somebody who covers the Lions.

I, I couldn't, I, she doesn't know.

Like I remember this this time last year, like, she was like, yeah, our team is gonna be putting, you know, a bunch of a bunch of waiver claims on Nate Lynn, like he's expected to be like the top waiver guy.

No team did so.

He wasn't even signed.

So I, I don't know exactly why he wasn't on an NFL team.

Older FCS prospect with now serious injury history.

Let's just get a guy who doesn't have a shoulder injury in his past.

It's not even like it's 111 injury like.

Oh, it's a, it's a big one though, especially when the margins are that fine for where he's coming.

If he was a 4th round pick, he'd be, he'd be on a roster .

Surely you'd think that'd be a guy that at least gets a training camp contract, like that is on a team at the start of camp.

That's what's crazy to me.

But either way, I was like , yeah man, I'm excited for this pickup when the Jets made that pickup, cause one, of course, the Aaron Glenn connection, right, which is another reason that I thought made sense last year if the Jets could pick him up because of the Glenn connection, but.

2, because every time he's been given a chance, he's been awesome.

He's lit it up every, every preseason , every preseason game he's played, he's been great, dominated.

Surely a guy like that should get an opportunity at some point.

And I say all of that to say.

I don't think he makes the 53.

I don't think I, I think, I think he's somebody who should be on a practice squad.

I hope he's on the Jets practice squad.

I think he just got into camp too late to be on the 53, and, you know, I think Jets fans are gonna riot if Braden McGregor makes it over him.

But I, I do think there's a chance that happens, Mike.

I, I, here's the thing, I think they keep 4, Lynn not being one of them.

Here's what we'll do with this exercise.

We'll put Lynn on the practice squad, and then after we get done this, we can kind of go back and say, all right, who are we taking out for Nate Lynn?

OK, yeah, well, we'll see, we'll see as we go through this if we have an extra spot, and if we have an extra spot, we could just give it to Lynn.

Or McGregor, like I think both of these guys are probably practice squad guys, uh, and as others have mentioned in chat, I, I, somebody was mentioning in chat, Pascal Okei is their international guy, so he, he's, he's designated that doesn't count against the limit.

Yeah, he is the designated 17th man on the practice squad, uh, and then Anthony Dunn, they just, they just signed him.

Couple quick comments to a pork star again.

We need grinders and fighters on this team.

Nate is a grinder.

Smith has blocks for hands.

Yeah, I mean that that's a good, honestly a good description of Lynn's like pass rush arsenal.

Like he just kind of, he's he's very heavy handed, like he beats you down.

He's not the like quickest guy, he's not the fastest, he's not the bendiest, but he's not even that big.

No, but he plays big, he plays strong, like he's, he has some clubing plays bigger than he is, yeah, so I, I look, I, I would love it if Nate Lynn makes the, the 53 man roster, and I want him to, and I, what, what do I think he's gonna do on Friday?

Probably gets 2 more sacks .

But I don't know if it's gonna matter.

I, I really don't.

Like I, I think he just got into camp super late.

Maybe like the saving grace here is the Aaron Glenn connection, because Aaron Glenn was with him in 2024 when he was in Detroit and when he was lighting it up in training camp, and he was with him when he saw him get that season-ending injury.

I'm sure he has a soft spot for the guy.

So maybe that maybe that carries over.

Like, I, I, I don't know what else the guy has to do to earn a spot on the NFL roster because every time he's been given a chance, he's been awesome.

So I hope, I hope he sticks around in some capacity, but I.

It's hard to give him a 53 spot for a guy who got here last week.

Like he was signed last week.

How do you already give that guy a 53 spot?

And I know like, he was great in Detroit in the summer and stuff, but he wasn't even on the roster until last week.

He wasn't, he, he was a free agent.

Like it was, it's not like he was even in camp with another team, he wasn't.

A couple more comments before we move on, we got some good ones here.

Pork star, where's Michael Clemens?

Indianapolis, the, the new tank general, hopefully, uh, dude, do you know like how hyped Jets Twitter will be if Michael Clemens gets like a roughing the passer penalty that loses the Colts a game this year.

Oh my God, for like two reasons, obviously cause you got the Colts pick and then cause it's Michael Clemens, like it, it could be it, oh my God, please, so perfect.

Uh, David Aaron, any of these players have coverage ability to be on their rushing and edge setting.

Jets are dropping their edge rushers into the coverage a lot.

They are, and I, I actually, that's a great some, sometimes it looks silly because I saw one play where I think Garrett Wilson caught a touchdown and Will McDonald was in coverage, and I said, why the hell is Will McDonald covering Garrett Wilson.

But I will say that I don't think it'll happen a lot.

I think it'll just be mostly some cloud coverage over to the flat kind of thing, but they're doing it enough where it's not gonna be, I don't think, a staple of their game plan, but I think it's all about multiplicity and being able to do a bunch of different things.

Now, Bailey and McDonald, you don't want them dropping back too much because why is David Bailey in coverage?

You draft them to rush the passer, but I think they have the movement skills, the athleticism needed to, if somebody tries to dump it off in the flat, go there and make a tackle.

So I think, I think they're not just like totally designated pass rushers, quote unquote, who just come in and go that way.

I think there's a little bit more utility to them.

I'm glad this was brought up because I had this thought, and I forget if I put it anywhere, right?

But I, I, I think Jets fans are going to be very frustrated with how frequent the Jets drop their edges in the coverage.

Now, it's not gonna be something I'm doing every play, right, but.

There's gonna be times in that last preseason game, Mike, there was a 3rd and 8 where David Bailey dropped in the coverage, and I rolled my eyes watching it.

I, I, I was like, oh man, I could, I could see how frustrating this is gonna be at times.

They're playing a 3-4 now, they're playing a multiple look on defense and, and it's just something that comes with the territory when you're when you're running a 3-4, you got your, your edge guys are gonna drop in the coverage sometimes.

Not all the time, but it's gonna happen sometimes.

And I think there's certain players you want to do it more with.

I don't think any bar is gonna be doing it much.

That's not really a guy you want to be doing that.

I do think they'll have McDonald be dropping, dropping back a bit because he is probably their most athletic edge rusher, so he could do it.

Bailey, the guy, I mean, McDonald might be even more athletic, athletic , quote unquote, not just yeah, Bailey, yeah, well, can David Bailey jump over a car?

I don't know.

Uh, yeah, but what's it, let's check the RAS score.

The one guy, I actually think McDonald might be higher.

I'm not sure, but anyway, well, the size, no, cause the size is gonna hurt McDonald's, that's why, but the RAS takes into account size anyway, anyway.

The one guy that I would say keep an eye on for this, the guy who I think makes the most sense for this role is Joseph Osai.

Joseph Osai was an off-ball linebacker at Texas to start his career.

He switched to edge rusher, so he has a lot of experience playing in coverage as an off-ball linebacker.

Feels like a 3-4 defense is the perfect design defense for him, and that's not a defense he was playing in Cincinnati.

He was a, he was a hand in the dirt 4-3 end.

So when I think when the Jets made this signing with Osai, and I forget if we've talked about this, we might have talked about this right, way back in March when they signed him.

I think they looked at him and said, hey, we think he could be better in a 3-4 defense.

And we think he could be better as like a, you know, an outside linebacker who's not only getting after the quarterback, but, you know, he's he's obviously playing kind of stand up, he can drop back into the coverage, he can kind of do it all for us.

I think Osa makes the most sense for that role.

I don't want to see Bailey dropping into the coverage that much.

I, I, you know, McDonald, I think can do it, but you're kind of wasting his skill set there.

Osa makes the most sense for me as somebody that can be that.

That do everything defender for them, that do everything outside linebacker for them.

So I, I would keep an eye on that.

And then last one before we get to, uh, the next thing.

David Aaron says, I asked all week if there were any consequences to the Tuesday signings last week .

And he's David Aaron, do we see Bailey lining up in the A gap with a weird .

choice for that, uh, quite the tongue out one, probably not a ton, maybe I wouldn't say that, that's what killed McDonald at Iowa State was in front.

I, I, I can't imagine like I think they'll have some stunts obviously, but like lining up in the a gap, probably not a ton.

We probably would be cool though if you just because he's just so quick, yeah, probably, probably don't want, probably don't want to do that.

You just gotta get a little, little body like what do you do with the guy that you're a little concerned about his run defense?

You don't line him up in the a gap.

That's, it's probably not 101.

So 3 or 4 names that I, I would say there's 3 names that are definitive locks probably, and it's Demario Davis, Jamie and Sherwin, and Kiko Mauinoa.

Uh Malioa, I think, is, I think Mauinoa is a lock, yeah, because I mean, but when we were talking months ago, he wasn't a lock.

I think he is now.

I think they kind of view him as their primary backup Mike.

Uh, he also is somebody that they like on special teams.

Yeah, I, I think he's an NFL linebacker .

I don't think he's like an NFL starting linebacker, but I think he can be a depth special teams.

He's a 5th round pick playing like a 5th round pick.

Yeah, so I, I, I think now I know it makes the team.

McCrory Ball, I think probably makes it for special teams.

They still really like him in that role.

Michael Walker, I think is their best backup linebacker as far as playing the linebacker position, but he's hurt right now.

So maybe that's another guy that actually could be a candidate to be put on a short term IR.

He's dealing with a calf injury and.

I don't think he played in the last preseason game, and I'm, you know, Cavs are obviously tricky and D'Angelo Pons has missed basically the entire summer with the Cavs, so it's possible that Mike Walker starts the year on IR.

So I will, I'll shout that out now.

I think if he's healthy, he's on the 53, but if not, maybe they only carry 4 linebackers here cause I, I can't see either Jaden Keller or Chase Wilson, who I will say they have made some plays this summer and they both had their moments.

I don't think they're 53 guys.

I think they're both practice squad guys.

I can't imagine them carrying 5 linebackers anyway, really, irrespective of health.

I thought they would have kept 4.

Really?

Oh, interesting.

So who would you think would be the odd man?

You think it'd be Walker is the odd man out?

Probably, but also I think, how, I guess Marc McCrory was a special teams captain, but I guess it's, can you replicate Marcelina McCrary ball?

On special teams event because he played some linebacker last year and we saw why he only plays special teams.

Yeah, he is not a linebacker.

That is special teams.

He was a safety, I think, in college, so that is an exclusively special teamer and maybe this is just, that's just me personally when I'm building my roster.

I don't like keeping exclusive special teams guys unless if you get a Devin Hester returner, you keep him for returns and all that.

Even Kenny Nongu, I don't love the fact that he's just the kick returner and he's got the spot for that.

But I guess you give it to him right there.

It's just cause if you were, if you wiped out Davis and Sherwood, I don't think anybody would say put McCrary balling over Mel Walker, but.

We have to, we have to do this dance, I guess.

He's the Kenne Wongu of linebackers, which is not a sentence that's ever been uttered.

I will say he is, what does he have, maybe 1.5% body fat.

You ever seen him?

He is ripped, dude.

He is ridiculously ripped.

It's like Laron Landry levels of, yeah, it's pretty crazy.

I'll, I'll say this actually.

He's not 215, he's 240 if he's an ounce.

I, I think linebacker is a position that the Jets totally could add via waiver wire as well.

I, I think, especially if Walker's hurt and he's not ready for week one, and they're gonna put him on IR, which honestly, now that we're doing this prediction.

I kind of want to leave Walker off.

I kind of, I look, I, I like Michael Walker.

Again, I think he's their best backup linebacker, but I , I think he either starts the on IR or he or he's cut, and I think they might add somebody here.

That'd be my if they wanted to sign a veteran, I feel like they would have by now.

Maybe we'll put Walker as a place, well, but I, I, I don't know.

I, I, I mean, I, I think they have a 5th linebacker on the, on the active roster.

But if they wanted like Bobby O'Karake or somebody like that, they would have probably got him by now.

Here's the thing, if they have 4 outside linebackers, and they only, that would mean they only have 8 total linebackers on their entire roster, offball and, and, you know, like edge rusher, that's, they're they're carrying 5 at 1 of those positions.

So Lynn, I would rather keep Nate Lynn than Mike Walker.

Yeah, I would too, I think, but I don't think they're gonna do that.

I don't think Lynn makes the 53.

I really don't.

I think McGregor might have a better shot at making the 53 than.

I'm being serious.

I'm not saying what I would do.

Lynn was not on an he was not in an NFL camp until last week.

What are the odds he makes the he, he's gonna be in in a in a training camp, in an NFL training camp for 2 weeks.

That's enough to make the 53.

Like, I, I would love it.

I, I, I'm not coaching these guys, right?

But looking at what he's done over the totality of his now 3 going into his 3rd year in the league, right?

Not in the league, but he has because he hasn't played yet, but what he's done, yeah, he probably deserves a spot.

They seem to have a soft spot for McGregor.

I don't know.

DBs.

Well, what are we doing here?

What are we doing?

I think this is, this is what we're doing.

I think Walker's on the practice squad, and I think we're saying, we're saying all three.

So we're saying Walker practice squad.

Yeah, OK, I wanna make my prediction now that I think he starts the year .

In fact, I'm gonna do this.

I think he starts the year on short term IR.

OK, and then I, I think both Keller, you know, I don't know if they're all, if, if they have Walker in the practice squad, all three of these guys aren't making it, but I think all of them have done enough to warrant practice squad spots.

I'd give the slight edge to Keller over Wilson, uh , but I think they've all done enough to at least warrant consideration for the practice squad spot.

All right, corners, there's 11 guys here.

They do have a good amount of corners, and honestly, Mike, low key.

Been a good, like, I, I think their depth guys have had really good summers.

There are 5 locks here, I would say everything else is open.

Honestly, I think there's probably 6.

I think the top 6 are all making the team.

You think Quantez is a lock?

I think Quantez is a lock.

I, I'm not like a, like a right in an ink 100%, but like I feel like 85, 90% chance he's making the team.

I would say so.

I mean, it was more likely than not.

Lock means like there's a 0% chance.

I think.

I wouldn't say Locke, but like, he's their top gunner.

I think they love him as a, you know, I, I think he could be like their special teams captain if it's not Isaiah Williams.

I, I, I think Banjo adores him, and Banjo's gonna have a lot of say in roster personnel because, you know, look at the job he did last year.

So I, I, I think, I think we could very much easily say these top 6 all make it, which unfortunately, oh by the way, so that means we were up to uh 38.

We're gonna have to, we're gonna have another spot or two to add.

Now what do we do with Mr. Bamba?

His practice squad, he's gotta be practice squad, right?

He, he's either practice squad or he's starting the year on IR, but like, you know, it depends on what his health is cause he's dealing with the knee injury still.

I don't think he's gonna be ready for the, uh, final preseason game.

I'll say this too, shout out Samuel Womack with the pick.

Womack, Trey Brown, and Jordan Clark all deserve shoutouts cause they've all played well.

I was kind of like, I kind of shit on Jordan Clark after last year, which funny, weird player to kind of, I'm not that I have a vendetta against them, but I was like, this dude's not an NFL player.

He's had a really good camp, and like genuinely looks improved, and I think he is.

As close to a lock for the practice squad as you can get, like as they as as a guy who could just be your, you know, backup nickel, if one of your nickels goes down, he's playing nickel for you , like, I mean, I don't know if he's playing on the active roster, but I, I think keep him around another year as developmental guy makes sense.

I want to keep all 4 of these dudes in the practice squad.

I think all 4 of them deserve it.

Well, we'll, we'll say Keenan Garber, they just signed that he's, he's getting cut.

Poor guy, 44 guys is a lot to keeping up 4 corners a lot.

Trey Brown was the least likely to make the practice squad of that group.

Maybe, but he also has played the most, I think of all four of those guys this summer.

I think Brown's ahead of Womack actually, and I think Brown was playing ahead of Womack, so I actually think Womack is less likely.

Not that, you know, we're we're debating Trey Brown.

This is a real, you know, granular debate here.

I'm gonna say May Bamba makes the, makes brag squad, you know, assuming he's healthy.

Clark makes it, and I'm gonna say Brown makes it too, and I'm gonna say Womack gets cut.

That's my prediction.

Just cause, just cause Brown was working ahead of Womack.

It, it wasn't until, uh, they had an injury or something like that.

Womack came with the 2nd team defense, but he was with the 3rd team defense for a bit.

I think, if I remember correctly, um, at least in that first preseason game.

I, I believe it was Bamba and Brown and then Womack came in after Bamba got hurt, but anyway.

Um, yeah, that's fine.

So that's another 6 guys, so that brings us to 44 .

We will have another couple of spots here.

44, go to the safeties.

VJ Payne is the interesting one here because obviously we don't know what his health is.

I think there's a chance that he starts the year on IR, but also like, I think I remember like 3 weeks ago or 2 weeks ago, Aaron Glenn calling it a 3-week injury, which would suggest to me that he's ready for week one, you know.

So I, you know, Chris said Jordan Clark, Chris said Jordan Clark, there's 3 locks here.

I agree.

Chris said Jordan Clark bidding for a spot, sneaky good camp.

He has had a sneaky good camp.

I just don't think there's a spot for him.

I, I, I don't, you know, I don't, I don't think there's a spot on the 53.

They already have 6 corners ahead of him.

Uh, Clark won't make it.

He's got the heart, just not the, the shake.

Yeah, he's not a good athlete, and he's shake.

He's a smaller guy who's not a great athlete.

I think that's kind of what he means, but he plays hard.

Uh, Minka Dane, Minka Dane Belton, Cisco are all locks.

Cisco in a just world probably wouldn't be a lock.

They just don't have anybody better than him, you know, I, I don't think they have anybody that they trust to play that role more.

Cisco has not had a good camp, but he's probably making the team.

I think Malachi Moore also makes it for the similar reason if they don't have anybody better than him.

Uh, certainly not anything he's done to, to earn that spot.

Yeah, this is a position they could add someone, um.

Payne's the real question mark here.

Yeah, I, I think Monroe and Clark are both practice squad guys.

Wall just got here, so it's hard to say he's making a practice squad.

Uh, although he's a, he's a notable like Tanner Wall was the most notable of the, the guys they just added.

He's a former All-Big 12 guy, uh, you know, was a kind of a captain of that BYU defense, one of the best players in the defense.

He's just 25 and he turns 26 in November, and he's an undrafted rookie.

So, as a lot of BYU guys tend to be, but Mori Bama teammate as well, so.

I think Payne makes it.

Now the question is, would you give Jerry Monroe a spot?

On the 53, well, because I'm thinking about we're gonna have one spot left over if we keep 5 safeties.

I don't think they keep 6 safeties.

I'm not sure they keep 5, but I, I will give Payne a spot just tentatively.

I think he's a healthy scratch, but I, I will give him a 5.

I don't think he's a 7th round pick.

That's fine.

I don't think Monroe or Clark make the 53.

I, I don't think they can.

I don't think Monroe's had some plays though.

He's just not like the athleticism is kind of his biggest issue.

He also is a guy who runs like a 46 something, which is why I was surprised they tried him at corner last year.

They moved him back to safety this summer, which is for the best cause he's not a corner, he just can't run.

He can't Thomas, he can't flip his hips, like it's just , he's very stiff hipped.

Um, he's a fun player, definition of a guy who tries super hard, but it's just kind of reckless out there.

Uh, I think he's a practice squad guy, same with Dean Clark, I think.

Glenn likes Monroe, but I think they're both probably, you know, I don't know, look, and, and again, as I said in the beginning, all the we're not like filling out the exact 16 or 17 man practice squad cause they're probably gonna add some guys, but these are practice squad candidates, and we'll say Tanner Wall gets cut, but like, he could make the practice squad.

I don't know, man.

He's actually like a notable-ish player.

Um, so that brings us to 49.

So we use special teams we're making 3, so that's 52.

Yeah, so we're gonna have 1 extra spot.

We're gonna have one extra spot.

Jason Sanders won the kicking competition.

Austin McNamara is the punter.

Thomas Hennessy is the long snapper.

No debate here.

Now, kickers, you know, if we want to talk, touch on this briefly, kicker, they could theoretically still add a kicker.

It, it does sound like the way Banjo phrased it that Sanders is the guy that they want week one.

Now, if he comes out.

In that final preseason game and he misses all his kicks, yeah, they'll probably add another kicker.

But if he, if he kicks well enough, like I think he's probably got the job locked up, they will not hesitate to potentially add someone if he struggles.

Hopefully it doesn't get to that point, but we'll say obviously, there's 3 roster spots here regardless, kicker, punter, and long snapper, which means we have 1 extra spot, Mike.

And I think it's gotta be a linebacker of some kind, whether outsider or uh, are you sure it's not Malik McLean?

Are you sure it's not Nate Lynn?

McLean, no, because they're not carrying 7 receivers.

If we're carrying, if they're getting Aaron Smith on the team, they're not carrying Patrick Smith and McLean.

I, I would say a 0% chance that happens.

I don't think they carry a 3rd quarterback.

They're gonna, they're, they're gonna have more than 8 total linebackers on their roster.

Uh, we can, I think this is a waiver wire claim.

That's my prediction.

I think this is a waiver wire claim.

David also said pay the IR, it's very possible.

I think it's a like a bone bruise in his ankle or something that he was dealing with, but Glenn said it was a 3-week injury like 2 weeks ago.

So that would suggest to me he's back by week 1.

Will he be ready to play?

I don't know, but if it's not a waiver wire claim, isn't Michael Walker.

No, cause I think he's on IR.

Mike, if it's not a waiver wire claim, I know who I want to give it to.

You're not gonna be happy.

It's Braden McGregor, that's who I want to give it to.

You can't, you can't put him over Nate Lane, you can't.

Watch me.

No, don't you dare.

You can't.

Well, watch me do it.

No, watch, watch me do it.

No, I control the slides.

I don't want this to be the case.

Like Nathan I'm doing it anyway, clearly outplayed McGregor, and I also think this is a situation where McGregor is on the initial 53, but he's not on the week 153.

You know, I, I think that's totally could be the case.

I just can't see a world where Lynn gets into the camp 14 days ago or whatever it was, not even 14 days, right?

It was was it was maybe 9, you know, it was, it was 7 days ago, he got into the camp, and he makes the 53.

That's crazy.

Like I, and I'm not saying that that's just or, you know, Ryder, he's clearly outperformed McGregor in the brief time he's been here, and he has a track record of being, of, of excelling in, in the summer, and he has the experience with Aaron Glenn and McGregor is bad.

Like I, I get all you just named like three things in Nate Lynn's favor and then some McGregor's bad, but.

McGregor is someone that this staff clearly likes enough to keep giving snaps.

Uh, he has been their 3rd team edge rusher for all of camp.

Is it just because they don't have, they didn't have a Nate Lynn for a while?

Yeah, I think, I think a big part of it is Lynn just wasn't there, like he, he wasn't there like until 10 days, but again, not only was he not there, he wasn't in any training camp.

He was not in camp for any team.

Like Fair, fair point.

Could it be a 10th alignment?

100 lines a lot.

I think if they're adding another O-lineman, they're cutting Xavier Newman.

I think, I think that practice squad, uh, linemen, let's see really quick.

O-line, Marquis Hayes, Liam Fornadell, Landon Young.

I don't think any of those guys make the 53.

And granted, we didn't think Marquis Hayes would make 53 last year, and he did make the initial 53.

Somebody asked who the quarterbacks are right now, it's Geno and Clubnick.

I don't think they add a third to the 53.

I think they might add a different practice squad guy over Cook potentially.

If they do add a third to the QB to the to like that, I guess the one potential caveat could be if they do add like a Sam Howell or an Aidan O'Connell or whoever, right?

And I'll tell you what, if Chad had their way, it would be Junior Bergen.

Junior Berg, yeah, I don't think, I, I don't think Bergen's got a chance, man.

I, I, I think he can make the practice squad.

But I just came all out of nowhere in like 20 minutes there were like 4, like wow, these people really like him.

They have 2 guys on their team named Junior.

This is my, I'm gonna, I'm gonna go 53 here.

I, I think this is my prediction.

I think it'd be McGregor.

I, I want it to be Lynn, you know, I'm trying to get this right.

I'm trying to be accurate here.

I, I also think this spot is Michael Walker's if he's healthy.

That's what I would say, but I.

You know, I, I, I, it sounds like he might not be healthy.
