As they try to put him in the best positions to be successful in Calgary.

Mike, do you think the Flames are handling Parekh's development correctly so far?

Do you think they're handling it well, considering their decision not to send him back to juniors after, after the World Juniors since he can't play in the AHL full-time yet?

It's yet to be determined, but, I mean, we'll see how they and what they do with him the rest of the season.

I mean, they've already burned the first year of his entry-level contract 'cause he's played 12 games.

But if they play him off and on, he's not gonna accumulate enough games this season to burn a year in terms of unrestricted free agency, so they'll get him for a full seven years.

And I'm sure that is of the mind of, of Craig Conroy, 'cause you have to think going ahead what, you know, if he is a premier offensive defenseman, which everybody thinks he's going to be, that, you know, getting the extra year or the, the seven years that you'd wanna get out of him, that I think that's a priority.

I mean, I, I, you know, he played 20 min- over 20 minutes last night.

They're not going anywhere.

They've traded Rasmus Andersson.

They're probably gonna trade a couple more players off that roster.

It would be smart to play your kids, get them experience, let them make mistakes when it doesn't matter.

You know, finish low, draft high, and build your team.

some teams in this league don't seem to grasp that, that, that idea.

right now I think play Parekh, let him make his mistakes, and he'll get better for it.
