The Florida Panthers will have 15 nationally televised games during the 2026-27 NHL season.

Video Transcript

Jacob Markstrom from the Devils.

Mike, you know, I guess we keep saying that, you know, Colorado's still the team to beat out west, and Florida's the team to beat out east.

You know, do these moves further solidify that the Panthers are the top dogs in the east, or did they get a little weaker in net and, you know, do you wonder if they're gonna spend their whole season killing penalties rather than scoring goals?

I thought they got a little more unproven in net, because Markstrom has not proven that he can win when it counts.

He's a, he's been a, a great goaltender for the majority of his career, but when it's counted in the playoffs with Calgary or with other teams, he really hasn't come to the forefront.

So, you know, you knew that Bobrovsky could win when it was, when it counted, but he wanted too much money, and they needed to allocate money in other, other places.

I mean, you know, who wants to leave Florida?

Of course Luostarinen signs an eight-year deal.

Of course Gudas is signed until he's 55.

It's like, you know, it's just, you know, the, they, everybody will agree to, to, to sign with the Panthers.

But I do think your point is well made about them killing penalties.

They better have excellent penalty killing, because they're gonna, the, the, or they should widen the penalty box in Sunrise, because we know that, that, you know, that's, that is the ethic that this team is gonna promote, and it's gonna be four-hour games, with- anybody that, that, that plays the Panthers
