Mike, what do, what do you think of this new look tandem for Florida?
Do you think this is gonna be enough for them?
Well, first, the agent for Sergei Bobrovsky and Sergei Bobrovsky himself way overplayed their hand trying to get a, a Marchand deal or an Ekblad deal.
He's 38 years old.
You know, he had a horrible year last year.
You know, I- any team that signs him, and Buffalo and Toronto are two teams that are supposedly interested in him, signing him at, at their own peril because, I, I mean, I don't know how much he has left in the tank.
As for what Florida did, I mean, they got cost control on Markstrom for two more years.
Schmid has played in the league for a while, so I think he's a capable backup.
The question is Markstrom has never really had success in the playoffs, but behind that juggernaut, if he makes one or two saves, he should be fine.
But, you know, there's no question, no, no doubting that Bobrovsky, when they needed him, came up big in the playoffs.
So we don't know what Markstrom is gonna do, but we know what Bob has done in the past.
