You said you thought, you said you thought that, you kind of let them play their game in the first half of the game.
What was it that you guys weren't doing that allowed them to do it?
I don't know.
I'll have to look.
I think we just, maybe we weren't as clean, on the wall battles a little bit.
you know, not executing.
I'll have to look at it.
I just feel like, you know, we were maybe a little bit on our heels to start the game.
but I mean, that was the first opportunity for us to close out the series, so I don't know if it was just, you know, a little bit, yeah, mental that we came out of that, that way.
But, we'll regroup.
You know, we've played one now that, you know, guys can, feed off of, and, and we know what it's like now to play in that game to try to close it, and just, fix our mistakes heading into the next game.
I mean, you knew they were gonna come hard.
their season's on the line, so, we expected that.
would've liked to push a little bit earlier, but, you know, they get one on the power play on a, on a quick play.
and then after that I thought we kind of gifted them a couple.
So, started to play after that, got some energy.
but yeah, I mean, their season's on the line.
You knew that they were gonna push and play hard and, couldn't, couldn't get it tight at the end.
You know, they came out I thought we, didn't hold on to pucks.
We were throwing pucks away too much.
The second half we started get- coming to our game.
So, yeah.
I think it's, it's I don't think it's a ton of adjustments, more of I think we gotta dig a little bit more.
I didn't see, much digging early from some, some guys, and we gotta make sure that right from the beginning we gotta dig off the bat.
What weren't you guys doing that you did in the first three?
Well, that's what happens when you don't move your feet.
You're, you're giving pucks back.
You know, we talked about that, after game two a little bit.
You know, you, you gotta be able I thought some guys weren't mo- mo- moving their feet.
Seemed like a few guys were sluggish tonight, so, we're gonna have to figure that out, get some energy there, because, I thought like in the first half we were a little bit sluggish, and then we started to come.
But yeah, I, I think moving your feet, being an option, passing the puck.
I thought we flipped it out again a couple times, early instead of like making passes, tape-to-tape passes.
So, but I like the fight back.
I mean, hey, listen, it's that's a good hockey team over there.
You know, it's, it's hard to win every game.
but, you know, that's it.
We just gotta go back to the drawing board.
