Looking ahead, I mean, are, are there any guys that you think have the best shot of being in that conversation for the Calder Trophy?
because those There are guys like, you know, Porter Martone, who obviously had a, a great little run, this year, towards the end of the season in the playoffs.
Then you've got guys like James Hagins, but then guys like, I don't know, Gavin McKenna.
Hasn't even been drafted yet.
So, I mean, what, what do you kinda see happening there with that race?
I always prefer in the Calder race a player that is not coming in in the year that he's drafted.
but McKenna has a situation where he's probably gonna play on the wing of Auston Matthews.
So, and being in a big media market like Toronto, if he's successful, that's gonna give him a leg up in terms of, the Calder.
But, you know, Martone, Hagins, Frontell, all 2025 draft picks.
I'm going a little off the board for a 2024 draft pick who came in at the end of the year, and that's Cole Hudson, who i- with Washington, was Yeah, I think he had 10 points in the, in like the la- in like fi- 14 or 15 games.
So he's gonna settle in probably as the power play quarterback there.
And if his brother is any li- indication, you know, we know he's gonna put up offensive stats.
So I think it's a, you know, five or six players, it, it, you know, are gonna be in that race.
But I don't discount the possibility of McKenna, who's gonna be the top pick in 2026 by Toronto, him being the, the favorite going into the season.
And it's just a question of whether, you know, he has some growing pains or he thrives on the wing of Auston Matthews.
