It definitely seems that way, and it is-- It's no good business when a lot of your star players are getting hurt.
It's just gonna be like the constant question's gonna be what can they do when everyone's actually healthy?
What kind of product can they produce when everyone's actually on the field playing 100%?
So, and even the fact that if the guys are gonna be bouncing on and off the IRL, I mean, IRL, oh my God, the IL.
If they're gonna be bouncing on and off the IL, I mean, are they really gonna be at 100% the entire season?
Right.
And so we initially recorded this episode on Thursday.
Some technical difficulties forced us to re-record it.
So these team-wide Mets offensive statistics are as of April 30th.
They're dated by two days, so excuse us.
But still, these numbers not super different from where they were, but again, these numbers team-wide on offense have been horrendous.
there's an argument certainly that the Mets are the worst statistical team in baseball.
The offense as of a couple of days ago slashing 227, 290, and 340.
At the time, a negative 35 run differential, second worst in baseball.
That number has improved to, or improved to negative 31.
Juan Soto has had a good season, but again, he's just missed a lot of time batting 327 at 967 on base percentage.
Marcus Simeon and Bo Bichette both hitting under 240.
Carson Benge is under the Mendoza line.
I mean, again, we've touched on injuries, but the guys have been healthy or the guys who have been healthy have not been performing.
Yeah, it's like, damn.
I think the, the overall, if there's a little snippet that gets put on one of the articles, it's when it rains, it pours, man.
It is just not-- It's all going wrong.
I did see a clip.
Benge made a great play today.
He made a crazy diving catch and they're getting their winning effort.
But it's like we're not always getting that, you know?
We're not always getting that consistency where we're hitting below 200.
That's not what we want.
A buck 86 is not getting it done at the Major League level.
