This has been a multi-year cultural shift or migration to what they wanna be up front, right?
Which is nasty, which is, as Sean and Seth on the morning show on 95.7 The Fan would say, swarmy offense, right?
Yep.
Be more swarmy on offense.
And that is what they're trying to achieve here, and I think it's not just Rutledge, for sure.
You know, just Teller's presence, no matter what he's doing, I think helps.
I think Ariante Urse- Ursery does not get enough credit.
I think, you know, here we are, we're not talking about left tackle.
We're like, "Oh my gosh, left tackle could be a big problem."
Could you imagine?
Why aren't we talking about left tackle?
Well, because Tate Ursery did a really nice job there last year.
Now, again, not perfect and no one's sending him to Canton yet and all that, but this is a really good start to his career.
And if he can make that year one to year two jump at that position, you could be locked down there for a long time.
And wouldn't that be nice?
That you've been able to replace You know, this was, this was left tackle U for a while.
You had Duane Brown in that era.
You know, had a little, gap there, but then you got Laremy Tunsil in here.
And now if Tate Ursery can e- be remotely close to that kind of performance, or at least steady play at that spot, my gosh, that would be so helpful.
But I like his attitude.
Johnny and I interviewed Tate Ursery last year, and I thought, "This guy's got something," not just as a player, but as a, a leader.
He's got that attitude.
He's got that element you're looking for, that they're looking for on the offensive line.
So I wouldn't look past him either.
But, you know, to bring Trent Brown back and whatever you can get out of Braden Smith.
And look, I don't know how they're gonna put it all together, but I like having all these guys here.
They threw a lot at it.
They threw a lot at the issue, and I, I wanna see where it goes.
I think having Montgomery running behind them helps, too.
Montgomery is a nasty individual, right?
Yes, he- You know, we all saw the video that they put out when they signed him, well, when they acquired him, and I was the one doing the interview, asking the questions.
He's the one- Look who looked me in the eye and said, "I'm gonna take your lunch money," or whatever he said.
He didn't say that, but I'm paraphrasing.
He said, "I'm gonna run through your face" or something like- But I was like, "Listen, I- I got goosebumps listening to that, dude.
Yeah, I was like, "Don't do it to me."
"Talk to the audience.
Talk to the opponent."
But I, I looked in his eyes.
He's looking in my eyes saying that, and I thought- Oh "Hmm, that is pretty strong stuff."
And, I have a feeling he's running hard in practice.
This guy's in his late 20s.
You know, he's a proven player.
But he's giving it his all.
Like, he's coming into camp like, "I gotta make this team."
That's how he runs in camp.
I cannot wait to see him run against the Buffalo Bills.
Look, the, the Bills are a great team.
We all know that.
But I'm eager to see this ground game against Buffalo.
Fourth quarter, let's go.
You know, we talk about, "Oh, the Texans own Josh Allen."
You know-
