Francis Ngannou claims PFL split was not his decision
Francis Ngannou said the Professional Fighters League announced his departure earlier than he expected, clarifying the timeline of his split and public disclosure. In comments on The Ariel Helwani Show, Francis Ngannou stated his PFL exit was decided in January and that the Professional Fighters League disclosed it without his input. He said he preferred a more coordinated message and learned of the announcement after it was posted. Days later, he was booked to face Philipe Lins under Most Valuable Promotions on a Netflix card. Ngannou left the UFC in 2023, boxed Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua, fought once in PFL, and aims to remain involved with PFL Africa.
