Gavin Williams Sets Career-high as Guardians Win Game Over Blue Jays
Cleveland Guardians' Gavin Williams bounces back after a career-worst start to a career-best.

Gavin Williams was not happy with himself coming off the shortest outing of his career with one point one innings pitched against the Los Angeles Angels last week.
And he even admitted heading into Tuesday's matchup that he had a little bit of a chip on his shoulder following that start.
And following one of the worst starts of Williams' career, he ended up putting together arguably the best start of his career as he ended up pitching seven innings, allowing one run, which was unearned, and the big numbers striking out thirteen batters, which set a new career high for Gavin Williams.
It also was the tenth time this season that Williams struck out ten or more batters, which is tied for the most with Milwaukee Brewers ace and sensation Jacob Mierzowski.
It really just shows you where Williams ranks among some of the league's best pitchers when he has everything going for him.
The irony of all this is that Williams, even Patrick Bailey said before the game, or when he was doing his bullpen before the game, that it didn't look great.
Williams said that if it was up to him and he saw, who's a coach, and saw his own bullpet-- bullpen, he probably would've had someone up in the first inning just in case everything went south.
But sometimes those bullpen outings right before the game don't line up with what happens on the mound, and we saw that happen with Gavin Williams on Tuesday.
So at this point, Gavin Williams keep marches us on and shows that he's the Guardian's ace.
Cleveland gets a very crucial win over the Toronto Blue Jays, and at this point, let's just hope the Guardians keep winning as they stay in this postseason hunt.
