Pretty stacked draft class.
Alex, have you dove in much so far?
I, I kind of tune out the, the mock drafts, because I don't see what actual value they have.
Yeah.
Like, how, how does so-and-so know who the teams are gonna take?
And who's available is entirely what's deciding who the Giants take.
This is definitely gonna be the most we've ever talked about a draft.
mostly 'cause they have the number four pick, and it's pretty important.
And they also have, like, 29 and 55.
Mm-hmm.
my understanding here, and there's been a lot of Roc stuff lately.
Look, Brandon Crawford went to see him.
Buster and Zach I think were down there at the same time.
He was- My under- Brandon Crawford was, like, his, his idol, right?
Yeah.
Yeah.
My understanding has been for weeks now, and months, that this is all just due diligence.
Mm-hmm.
This is all They have the number four pick.
You never really know with the draft.
Look at what happened to Buster Posey himself.
Like, should've gone number one, did not.
Dropped to the Giants.
So they wanna be prepared.
They wanna be in a spot where if something crazy happens, they're there.
Now, do they think that's gonna happen?
No.
Are they actively trying to get this guy to, like, behind the scenes say, "I'm only gonna sign for th- with the San Francisco Giants and nobody else"?
No.
So this is really just due diligence, and I think they've done similar things with other players.
It's just this is a case of a guy who's supposed to go one, one.
Mm-hmm.
And there's obviously a lot of ties here.
it's interesting.
But I don't think there's much beyond.
I think this is really just kinda hanging around the backboard in case something happens.
