It was drawn out, but AJ Brown is finally a New England Patriot.
It happened this week, something we kind of knew it was an assumption at this point, but it finally came to fruition on Monday evening.
Brown and former teammate Jordan Mayalotta talked about both teams moving on.
You know I'm excited for this opportunity, you know, uh, you know, I'm here now, not to get into the details, none of that stuff matters, you know, uh, what's done is done and we're here and we're moving forward.
I think yes, we can move on now.
I think most of us that have been here the last 6 weeks, we have moved on just from, we have enough to worry about.
That sounds terrible, but like, uh, you know, thank God it's over, you know, it was the slow pain of just, is he in, is he out, you know, we, we didn't really know and.
That really wasn't our focus as a team, our team, especially at the offense.
Poor Jordan Maalotta.

So let's move forward and truly put into place that Jalen Hurts now remains in Philadelphia and AJ Brown in New England.

Because there's talk all last season, really, honestly, the season before, about like, you know, the dysfunction there and, and can AJ Brown and Jalen coexist.
For Jalen, he's now got to live this.
The pressure in Philly is always extremely real.
He's going in.
To a year where it is crucial, crucial for him and the organization as far as his future goes, and he's going to do it without his best receiver.
He can do it.
The team is good, but it's challenging for AJ Brown.
It is all upside.
He gets to go to his childhood team, to a quarterback who is great, and when he gave the Philadelphia Eagles the several teams that he wanted to play for, they all had great quarterbacks, so he knew.
He was going to a place with a great quarterback.
He joins a team that was literally in the Super Bowl last year.
They're only getting better based on the way they draft, based on the improvement of their players and all of that, and they get a number one receiver, which is literally him all upside for AJ Brown.
It is a great place to be .
Well, the grass is greener as an expression is a bad thing.
It's usually.
The grass is always greener.
It's something that's tempting you, and then when you get there you find out it's actually not what you thought it was going to be.
So listen, the Jalen Hurts thing is, is.
It's really a calculated gamble, and, and the fact is that his best receiver, like I just said, is gone, and I think there's, there's a, there is a gamble for Hurts this year and that he will be examined in a different type of crosshair than he ever has been, and he's been in a lot.
If he doesn't get the passing game going, if they're missing some oomph, if they're missing some downfield impact, it's not going to be hard to connect the lines and be like, man, they really could have AJ right now, but the two of them didn't get along personally, OK?
But.
I say it's Jalen here because guys like if he has this great year and it works with Devonte and it works with Lemon and it continues to work with Goddard and the Eagles just work and it's like, yeah, AJ we don't miss him, then that looks great on Jalen, that it was the right move and they kept him just long enough, if not a year too long.
So Jalen wants to be a superstar in this league he really.
is there.
He wants to be one of the guys he wants to be in that conversation with Joe and Josh and Patrick and all those, which I don't think he is now as a player this year, go out and kill it without that guy and you show that you're like, I'm a solo artist apart from him.
I don't need him, and I think that's what Jalen Hurts is into.
If he pulls it off, it'll be huge.
