Guardians’ Travis Bazzana Reflects on First All-Star Experience
Cleveland Guardians' Travis Bazzana says his first All-Star experience was an "unforgettable time."

While many of the Cleveland Guardians were resting and regrouping for the second half of the season, rookie second baseman was out in Philadelphia with the American League All-Star team for his first All-Star experience in his rookie season.
And as he regrouped with the team on Friday ahead of the first game of the second half, Bazan talked a little bit about what that experience was like, and overall, he said it was amazing and a pretty unforgettable time.
He talked about how just being around some of the game's best players and getting signed baseballs and jerseys from some of them, and just simply being in their presence certainly was one of the most unforgettable times he's ever had, and was very cool to be on the field during the Home Run Derby and all the other festivities that came along with All-Star Weekend outside of the Midsummer Classic itself.
One of the big things that I took away from what Bazan was talking about was simply how he's going to take away and use this as not just a end-all be-all of his development, but as a motivator of his development as well.
There's plenty of players that are in big-- the playing in the big leagues for years, and they may view being named an All-Star as that ultimate, achievement, but Bazan is clearly viewing it as maybe even the latter, something he can use to continue to work and something to work towards.
He said, quote, "I feel like it's kind of a push forward to the second half.
I mean, just like the continuing to get better and try to learn from something from the guys I was around, it's like a positive push forward, I guess."
And I think that right there is the reason the Guardians really, and what they saw in him back in two thousand and twenty-four, he's an incredibly hard worker and he's gonna use this experience to help push him forward and become even better.
And that, really looking at what Bazan has already been able to accomplish this season, that really should make the Guardians excited about the rest of the season and looking forward.
