If you played fantasy football last season, you know it was an up and down, uncertain rookie year for Amon-Ra Hampton, Denny Carter, but most managers don't seem to mind.
He's going in the RB 8 to 10 range this summer.
Hyper aggressive.
Now his new offensive coordinator, Mike McDaniel, said, "I'll use all three of those guys probably every game," when talking about his backfield.
The second guy being Keith Mitchell.
Some of our viewers may be wondering who that third guy even is.
Mike McDaniel forecasting maybe a bit of a fantasy nightmare.
Are you taking him at his word?
Is it coach speak?
And should Hampton's ADP be coming down?
I think it should.
You know, I think, I think he, it should have a while back.
Keith Mitchell is gonna be a thing here.
You know, how much of a thing, it depends on, you know, what you think of Keaton Mitchell.
You know, a, a very fast guy out of Baltimore.
Mike McDaniel really wanted him, in free agency, got him, and is now using him as a pass catcher.
So if Hampton doesn't get the pass catching role, that means he's gonna be touchdown dependent.
But then Kamani Vidal is a very good short area rusher, right?
And, and a, and kind of a bowling ball guy who can run between the tackles.
Vidal h- also is good on zone rushes, which is featured prominently, o- of course, in Mike McDaniel's system.
So I, I'm thinking Hampton is a, maybe a top 20 guy.
Top eight, seems hopeful.
It was just an imperfect year for Hampton, and you think if he was having a perfect training camp, the tone would just be different from Mike McDaniel.
Even if this is coach speak, this is more of a negative tone than you would expect for a player who was gonna maybe be a 20 to 24 touch player on a weekly basis.
So Amon-Ra Hampton, I thought, should have already been on the spot like you laid out.
