We enter the Soundgear restart zone.
We are green.
Down the back straightaway off turn number two, you saw Jace Hanson get a little bit squirrely as he went through the gears.
That gave Carson Brown the early advantage, but Owen Riddle and Buddy Shephard fight for third.
Side by side, Riddle might have the line.
It's gonna be Shephard carrying off the momentum down the front straightaway.
They're gonna stay side by side through turn number one.
Lap number one complete.
Don't pull the wheel straight, it could spell disaster for you.
Harvick's gonna look to the inside this time by.
He's hounding the rear bumper of Joe Van Dillon.
To the inside Harvick goes, 62 on the bottom, Dillon in the 11 on the top.
Sliding the rear tires is Joe Van Dillon on this exit.
Off of turn four this time by, Keelan Harvick's gonna get the position, move him up into position number nine.
And oh, boy, Sesler hid that injury, the flag going into turn number one, and nearly wiped himself and Joe Van Dillon out.
That was a great save there as the 51.
Bryce Bazanson, he's gonna take advantage of that one.
155 laps still to run.
Carson Brown leads us back to the Soundgear restart zone.
We are back to racing.
Down the back straightaway going into turn number three, you're gonna see Buddy Shephard try to make a charge at Jace Hanson for the second position.
There goes Buddy Shephard trying to make it work.
Two and Tensia.
The Oh, Buddy Shephard with a big save right off of turn number four.
Great save for Buddy Shephard.
That's gonna open the door for maybe Ethan Ebert to get a run on him going into turn number one and try to drive it off of turn two.
Man, you do not wanna slide those tires like that early in this run.
Just got done cooling them off and- Has to move towards the wall.
You have to pinch off your exit.
You're gonna lose a little bit of speed.
Now on that outside lane you can roll the corner a little bit better.
Here comes Bazanson with the diamond.
That was And I mean, Riddle just showed up, like, in that corner.
That number 10 is closing in on this battle.
But look at how Plybon though is running high, and he's trying to roll the outside with a little bit more speed on this exit, and it's working for the moment.
Yeah, Bazanson's got a little bit more of a diamond that he's working.
Once again to the inside.
Now here's what's gonna happen.
We see how hard it is to pass, and these drivers are all figuring out right now.
Bazanson's trying to do it, Riddle's watching it, Plybon knows it.
It's going to show just how hard these guys are gonna be going when we get two restarts, because if you can gain one spot, two spots, you're gonna be pushing it extra hard and it's gonna make things that much more hectic, especially if we have some late race restarts.
And nearly touched off turn four that time.
Bazanson's getting better runs to about the exit, but Plybon continues to power down that straightaway, but Bazanson is better from about the center to the exit, but just can't get that exit all the way completed with how Plybon is holding him down.
But see how Bazanson can enter?
And by about the center they're side by side with just a Right around there, that is where the 55 is holding him off.
Now he's pushing it that much harder in the battle with Vito Cancilla here in the number 27.
These drivers battling it out for the fifth Oh boy, Vito Cancilla's around.
There goes Vito Cancilla around on the front straightaway, gonna spin right back up the racetrack.
The caution is out and everyone avoids Cancilla.
Best look right here going into three.
So there's a little bit of daylight between the 27 and 62, and remember turn four is sketchy, especially when you have to crest over that little hump on the exit.
But watch Cancilla in the rear end.
Let's see, do they touch?
Do they touch?
I'm gonna make you make the call, Rinse.
Was, was there a little bumper there?
I think there's still daylight there.
I just think, or I- I do too.
I think it was that bump though that I think Cancilla hit that bump and it broke sideways and around she went.
So Vito Cancilla- There's contact.
There's contact between the drivers.
Now we might have another angle that we're gonna be able to take a look at here.
We're entering the Soundgear restart zone.
Once again, we are back to green and Ethan Ebert holding right with the 81 for the moment.
So ironically it was a restart violation that actually worked for Ethan Ebert here.
He's gonna take that second spot.
Hanson on the outside of Shephard in the battle for third going Oh man, Shephard got way sideways and Hanson's carrying the speed on the outside.
Jace Hanson trying to get back to the second position, almost hits the wall at the exit of turn four.
As we see Bryce Bazanson now in Sesler fight.
Here comes Hanson trying to get second position back away from Ethan Ebert.
Now Use your tires to get back to Ethan Ebert and at least restart the last 100 laps hopefully in the second position if you're a Jace Hanson fan.
And we've got a big wreck.
Big crash for Bryce Bazanson in the outside wall.
Hard impact for the 51.
Bazanson was running in the sixth position and now his night comes to an end with heavy damage.
Let's get back to racing in the second half, and we're doorin' each other off the start.
How about this?
Ethan Ebert gonna keep it on the outside of Brown.
Are we- Ethan now Oh, and some more doorin' into turn number three.
Big contact between Carson Brown and Ethan Ebert.
Oh, oh, oh, oh.
Ebert's gonna cross him over.
There's contact.
Brown with big, big smoke on, out of the rear end of that race car.
Ebert was not happy His car now.
Now it's the Summer Showdown.
So a lot of contact between your top two, and both of them are crossing their fingers hoping that no tires are losing air right now.
Brown and Ebert getting really aggressive with each other.
Harvick now gonna get caught behind Brad Clark entering the corner.
He's gonna have to check up, fall in line behind Plybon for the moment.
Still 93 laps left to go in this edition of the Summer Shootout, Summer Showdown here at Evergreen Speedway, and it's a shootout right now between these two for the sixth spot.
Yeah, Harvick, that car turns on a dime, and he's been taking advantage of that.
The number 62, like we talked about, had to basically be built overnight as they swapped over the car that wasn't destroyed for his super late model here today.
Preventing Harvick to get a run, but here comes the 62 down the back straightaway.
Shepherd's trying to hold him off, but Harvick is definitely charging towards the front.
The only two cars faster than Harvick right now, first and second, Carson Brown, Chase Hansen.
Keelan Harvick is coming, and he is to the inside past the number 22, Buddy Shepherd.
He's gonna set his sights on Ebert, the number 9E, who's not too much further ahead and still struggling with that right front damage.
Taylor Riddle has a lot of concrete in that wheel.
It's completely on the right-hand side.
There's no Hoosier lettering on it.
It's white.
He definitely slapped the wall hard but is coming to his team in the Hell Raiser Jack hot pit as now we see Chase Hansen trying to get around Hayden Plybon.
Plybon's gonna let him go, and now Hansen is freed for the moment of the lap traffic that he was trying to get through.
Jeffrey, two laps to go for Carson Brown.
What a weekend it has been for Carson Brown.
What a weekend it has been for Preston Peltier and Peltier Racing, getting the win last night, and they have the top two cars in this one.
They are looking to bring it home, a sweep of the weekend as he comes out of turn number four.
It'll be one lap to go for the Summer Showdown.
Let's see it.
The white flag is out for Carson Brown as he enters turn number one.
He's had zero challenges outside of one moment between he and Ethan Ebert on a restart, but outside of that, it has been drama-free, clear sailing, and smooth sailing for the Richard Childress Racing development driver.
Through three and out of turn four, Carson Brown comes to the checkered flag, and he's gonna win the 14th annual Tire Pro Summer Showdown.
He is a Spears Cars Tour West Super Late Model winner.
