HLs: Bryson’s Rd. 2 at The Open marred by penalty
Bryson DeChambeau played wonderful golf throughout Round 2 of The Open Championship, but a retroactive penalty put a damper on his day.

If he's going to hit some balls, that means the threat of him not playing tomorrow is not gonna happen.
I'm gonna go hit some golf balls.
That's true, and I think it's a good way to blow off some steam.
You know, when I didn't finish a, a round off well, still had to get out there tomorrow, I think spending some time on the putting green, spend- spending some time beating some balls and maybe taking it out in the dirt for a little while kind of got my mind right, got me away from things for a while.
Hey, Charlie was saying that the R&A, Terry, is going to put out a statement.
I'd like to hear from the athlete himself about the situation and not just let the rules officials hear from.
Hopefully Bryson lets us know what he's thinking as far as the whole process.
And as Terry said, the computer changed, and now the scoreboard, leaderboards that are adjacent to the 18th fairway have changed as well.
Bryson DeChambeau has received a two-shot penalty on the fifth hole earlier today.
That five becomes a seven.
He is now at five under par through 36 holes, three shots back of the lead as opposed to being one back of the lead.

I've got I've just got a message saying the penalty has been applied, but Grant Muir is now gonna make a statement to the media and explain the ruling, which I think will be very helpful for everybody.
