Ooh, a heavy landing.

He's not only He's just bigger- Yeah than everyone else.
When it comes down to the head-to-head version, he takes advantage of it.

A wide line there, but able to keep the balance.
Driving nicely around the upstream gate.
A little, little trouble accelerating out, but he is two-tenths of a second up, and this guy is not going to quit.
No, he knows anything can happen all the way to the end.
He's gaining speed coming into the flip.

How fast can he upright?
Very quickly.
Pushed a little left.
That's gonna make a tight entry.
That's gonna make this harder as he's in and is out, and then a little bit- One-tenth of a second over the third and fourth hung up right there on the exit.
Joe Clarke, he's got the speed to the finish.

I think he actually might even be a little surprised because although a great run, he can even be better than that.
He can, and another world championship title for Joe Clarke.
This guy is the man when it comes to kayak cross, and he just proved it once again.
Joe Clarke, that was an absolutely phenomenal run at the end.
You gave us a little bit of a scare with the middle section.
You dropped some time, and then you came back at the finish line.
How does it feel to kick off the week with a gold medal and these two excellent paddlers as well?
Yeah, yeah, really good.
Yesterday, afternoon's training session was, was terrible.
I pulled my neck the day before, so not the best run-in, but, it's nice to, to be here, to be here taking the win.
Well, we were super impressed with the paddle.
