Hocevar ecstatic after claiming Brickyard 400 pole
Carson Hocevar shares his excitement after edging out Denny Hamlin for the Busch Light Pole Award at the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

In the Brickyard 400, and there's the reaction for Carson Hocevar, who will lead them to the green in this crown jewel event.
It's an all Spire front row.
He's not moving.
Third career pole position for the 23-year-old from Portage, Michigan.
Yeah, Adam, it's gonna be a all Spire front row.
There's a heat wave coming through there, Carson.
Yeah.
How about it?
On the pole at one of your favorite racetracks.
Yeah, I mean, it's just unbelievable.
I, I just got out of the car and they were yelling and cheering and everything.
I just couldn't believe it.
No, I appreciate I, I don't know if they're cheering just because I beat Denny or just the fact that we were on the front row, but, no, I'm super pumped.
Denny stole one from me for Michigan, so, yeah, this is hometown for Jeff and everybody in Spire.
And, yeah, it's just fun to use, you know, our, our own notes for the last two years and get these cars better and faster and, yeah, just enjoy it.
These guys work really hard.
It's, you know, 200 people plus in the shop at Spire Motorsports.
Dan Taurus, Cassie Taurus, everybody, you know, good job Sparks.
But no, it's, it's unbelievable.
These, you know, they, they put so much in Indy, they put so much into this program, they put so much into Spire, so to be on the front row with Daniel and everybody, but Ziegler Auto Group, everybody.
Aaron Ziegler, he was racing yesterday, so I'm just, I'm just pumped.
It's so cool.
What's it gonna, what's it gonna take for you to find yourself in victory lane tomorrow?
It, I don't know if anybody's ever passed the leader here, so with this car, so hopefully we can just stay up front, manage the race, and, enjoy it.
But, I'm gonna soak this in a lot.
You know, it's my favorite racetrack.
You know, Michigan obviously is hometown, so that's probably my favorite crowd, but, you know, I just love this racetrack.
I love Indy, and, this crowd's pretty awesome.
A lot of excitement down here from the Spire group, Adam.
Yeah, he's, he's not too far from home, but any time you win a pole at Indianapolis, it's special.
