PFL contender Impa Kasanganay said his promotion hosts the strongest middleweights as he prepares to face former champion Johnny Eblen for the interim middleweight title on Saturday, July 18, at PFL Austin. In a PFL promotional video posted on X, he framed the matchup as elite across organizations and highlighted the Top 5 at 185 pounds. The interim middleweight title is the first in PFL history, with Eblen ranked No. 1 and Kasanganay No. 3. Costello van Steenis is the reigning champion; an injury to the Dutch‑Spaniard resulted in the interim title fight. Eblen lost the championship to van Steenis in 2025.
