Injuries Mount As Chiefs Push Through Tough Camp Practices
The Kansas City Chiefs have a long injury list this week as they go through longer practices.
Video Transcript
Kenneth Walker getting into a fight or a scuff- a scuffle, not really much of a fight.
But like, like it's that mindset and the enemy's not gonna put up with that kind of stuff.
No, man, you're 100%.
I mean, that's, you know, EB holds, holds everybody to a higher standard than tend to try to, pull that crap in, in practices.
But I want, I want this to be very, very clear.
We are, at least us here in Indiana, and I'm sure out there in Kansas City and, you know, Missouri, one of the hottest points of the season, of the, of, of the year.
The heat indexes have been way high and- Humidity the humidity is bur- you know, it's just burning up.
So by all reports from my understanding, they, done, I do believe, seven practices in a row.
And so these guys are out here churning and burning seven days in a row in this heat and the sun and just baking as they're, you know, as they're preparing.
And, and it's by design.
Andy Reid makes this by design.
He knows what buttons to push in order to get those guys on a mental, set so that these things don't boil out during an actual game.
So Kenneth Walker makes an outstanding 12-yard run for a first down on, say, a third and, you know, a third and 11 or whatever, and he blows it all up by taking a 15, 15-yard penalty and backing them back up to w- farther back than what they were.
And I think that that is brilliant on Andy's side where he's like, you push them to the very brink so that they know where their breaking point's at.
