Most disappointing performance from a team?

Germany I went Sweden for the men, just 'cause, I feel like usually they're pretty high up.

And it's not to say that they played poorly this tournament, but I expected more.

And of course, ended up with a matchup against the States in the quarterfinals, so you can't really control that.

But I expected a little more from them.

On the women's side, I kind of had, I had Czechia, just 'cause I, I kind of penciled Czechia in as the bronze medal winner, in my opinion.

In general, other than the US, ugh, I feel so mean saying this.

Other than the US and Canada, I was pretty disappointed on whole with the women's performance.

Mm-hmm.

Not to say anything, because, you know, there were definitely, like Michelle Karvinen did decently, you know.

Like, she- Mm-hmm she led her team.

But like, not really impressed with the overall play.

And I think- So like I w- I was actually, I was thinking of giving it to Finland too, but I think just with what they had to do, deal with, with like the norovirus through their- Yeah locker room and stuff, I was kind of like, I'll give them a I mean- I'll give them some leeway I'll give them a break because of that.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Player you expected more from on each side?

Nurse.

I second that.

I was expecting a lot more from Sarah Nurse, too.

There was nothing.

I feel really bad saying this, but I'm gonna go- Yeah with MacKinnon.

Not to say that he didn't play badly.

Like, he was decent.

I had Elias Pettersson.

He had that great game against Slovakia, and I will admit, like through the tournament and, you know what?

The first game, he played decently.

He didn't get any points, but you could tell he was setting up chances.

He was like kind of exercising that creativity.

And then of course, he had that two goal game.

But I just thought, like I wanted to see more.

I didn't see more, and I do think a big part of that is the fact that he didn't get as many minutes as people probably were hoping he would.

And I do think that's part of the disappointing part, is the fact that he didn't really get that chance to kind of show what he can do.

Most impressive player on Team Canada for the women's side?

Nash.

I'm gonna go Marie-Philip Poulin, and I'm going with that just- Yeah, she made the list, too.

Actually, yeah.

Just- Valid.

Valid yeah, just based on the clutch factor, the, like, I mean, at this point with her career, people come to expect it.

But to do that as well as play through an injury, right?

Like, what else can you say, right?
