Packers running back Josh Jacobs expected to miss at least one week with a groin injury.
I'll say the at least here in this, in this quote has me a little concerned.
This comes directly from Matt LaFleur.
I would say I'd rather hear that he's day to day or they expect him to miss roughly one week at least kind of leaves the timeline open for him to miss far more than one week.
Although I will note that we do see, especially veteran players, miss time in training camp sometimes much longer than a week, and it just doesn't become a big issue.
I will note a much bigger looming issue for him is this off field stuff he continues to deal with.
ESPN's Adam Schefter recently said he believes Josh Jacobs could still be suspended by the NFL for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy.
Jacobs remains under investigation and fantasy managers just kind of in the dark on this.
I think when Jacobs is healthy and plays, he's clearly an RB1, but right now both health and playing otherwise are very much a concern for Josh Jacobs.
I think we have to treat him as an RB2 right now.
I will note that currently his backup is Marshawn Lloyd, a 2024 day two pick who has barely played in the NFL so far, but was drafted highly and is currently tearing up training camp.
He's someone that I keep moving up my ranks, and I think even as he climbs up boards right now by ADP, he is still a strong buy in training camp.
