Jets 2026 NFL Mock Draft! Final predictions

Mike Luciano and Justin Fried discuss their final 2026 NFL Mock Drafts for the New York Jets.

Video Transcript

Hello and welcome back to the Jet Press podcast.

My name is Justin Fried and I'm joined as always by my good friend, Mike Luciano.

Mike, It's draft week.

We got 24, or a little over 24 hours until the draft officially starts, until our draft show tomorrow, which I'll promote in a second, until the Jets are on the clock with their first of 40 or 4 top 44.

I was gonna say 44.

00, how we wish.

It feels like 44 picks that they have because they have a lot of draft capital.

We have an amazing show planned.

I am so excited for this.

This is always, uh, always, always our, our most fun, one of our most fun shows.

Of the year when we do our final Jets mock drafts are each, each of us have a 7-round Jets mock draft that we're gonna go through.

Mike, ahead of the show.

How are you feeling, buddy?

What's going on?

Apathetic.

Oh man, OK.

I am, all right.

We've been talking about two players for pretty much 2 months, Arvel Reese or David Bailey.

We've monitored the most minor of news updates which have caused huge swings in the odds.

I mean, Justin, how many flip flops, Todd McShay is the big one.

How many flip flops and Reese to Bailey to Reese to Bailey to Reese have you seen in the last two weeks?

Yeah, from people that are good reporters and know what they're doing.

Nobody has any idea what the Jets are gonna do, except it's gonna be one of these two players, which one, who knows.

We think we have some ideas, but who knows.

After that, anything's open.

I'm feeling actually, even though I'm apathetic, kind of in a good mood in some ways because This team is so bad.

That there's really no way they can use these top 4 picks and not add multiple impact starters.

You just have, you'd fall into impact starters with this roster.

So, there's tons of ways this could shake out.

I think that even if the Jets don't move around the board, there's a way to get great value and some really good players, and we'll go and tell you which ones you should worry about here, because we're both gonna have separate 7-round mock drafts, 4 picks, of course, in the top 50 this year.

You could find my whole 7-round mock draft on fan side later tomorrow.

That's when that's going up.

And then also, Justin, make sure to check out Jet Press tomorrow night because we got tons of festivities planned.

Yes, we do.

We have our, I promoted this a couple of times now, but we have our live draft show.

This is the first time we've ever done this.

This is going to be.

The longest stream in Jet Press history .

We'll be streaming live from picks 1 to pick 32 all night.

If you need a place to hang out, we will be here.

Uh, it's gonna be me the, the entire night.

So if you wanna see more of my face for some reason, you want to hear me talk about the Jets, I'll be here.

This guy will be here a little bit.

Mike Luciano will be here for uh parts of it.

Charlie Beweni, who you probably saw a couple of weeks ago, he's another member of the Jet press team.

He'll be making appearances.

Other guests include Levi Dombro, our Raiders site expert here at Fan site and Matt Fitzgerald, who uh runs our Bengals site.

He's done stuff with, I believe, Sports Illustrated in the past and as other places and I'm forgetting, I think Barstool Sports, uh, Jamie Eisner, which that's fun that I. get to announce that he was not confirmed as of last week, but formerly of the draft Network, he's a new member of the fan side of team.

He will be here, a bunch of guys who know the draft very well, who candidly know the draft more than I do, and have studied this draft class more than I have, so I'm very excited to chat it up with them, uh, and some potential other special guests as well.

Mike, I was just looking back, by the way.

Because we did this last year too at my mock for, do you have your mock pulled up from last year?

Do you remember what your, I remember I was Tyler Warren and not Membu.

OK, I don't remember who I had in the 2nd round.

Was it a tight end?

No , cause I had Warren in the 1st round, so I had probably Josh Connolly, I wanna say in the 2nd round.

I don't know.

I, I don't have your mock.

That's why I was asking, but I have, OK, never mind.

I thought you had it, and you're like, no, no, no, I have mine, and I totally, do you know who I picked in the 1st round?

I totally forgot.

Yeah, Membu and I think Mason Taylor.

No, that's, that's who the Jets picked.

I had Jalen.

I thought you were big on Mason Taylor in the 2nd round.

I was, but I didn't have him in my final mock.

I had Jalen Walker going 7th overall to the Jets.

Totally forgot about that.

And then that was a thing for a while before all the Arvell Reese, uh.

A lot of debates we had that last year.

I had Jalen Walker, Josh Connolly at 42, Gunnar Helm was the tight end I took from uh Texas at 73, Jamari Car Jamari Caldwell, RJ Mickens, which of course that was a very popular pick for the Jets in mock drafts.

Elijah Hussey, Nick, uh, Nick Nash, and I did take Bill himself, Jacoy Crossky Merritt in the 6th round.

Hey, that's a pretty good pick.

That looks, that looks pretty last year I did, I did in fact have, um, Connorly.

OK, so we both, we both had Connorly.

We both did, yep, and then in the 3rd round I had them taking Jalen Royals, so that wouldn't have been a great draft.

Yeah, no, no, no, it wouldn't have.

Remember his fans were when they passed on Jalen Royals.

Yeah, And oddly enough, Arian Smith, I think, had more catches than him in his rookie year.

It's, I was gonna say it's not like Aaron Smith was significantly better, but I, I technically think he produced more, although granted, he was, he, he should have been given even more opportunities than Jalen Royals in a, in a receiving corps that the Jets had.

Um, I also had Ty Robinson and Jalen Reed, so Nebraska and then Jalen Reed, where did you go to Penn State.

That's right, that's right.

Let's hope for some more impact starters, uh.

This year.

You know where to find us, Apple, Spotify, wherever you get your podcast, we are there and on YouTube, liking the stream, big help, subscribing, big help.

Being active and chat is a big help cause apparently YouTube likes active chats in their algorithm when promoting live stream.

So that'll both help, help you get more fans in there.

You can go argue things out amongst yourselves in the comments.

But Justin, let, let us delay no further.

Let's get into the big mock extravaganza.

This is a pick #2 is gonna be #1 is gonna be the highest drafted defensive player in Jets history.

You never taken a defensive player this high unless they take a Jeremiah Love, which I don't think is gonna happen.

I agree.

And Justin, me and you are in agreement here in terms of what we think is gonna happen, what would make the most sense, and this is not a slight on the other player because I think both of these players are gonna be in the NFL for 10 years, and they're both gonna be very successful.

I think just one guy has a higher ceiling.

So without further ado, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, can I do it?

Can I do it?

Do you wanna do it like together or something like that, cause that's no, not at all actually.

OK, never mind, cause you're stealing my thunder, OK, I guess you're, I guess for most of these we'll be able to do it separate, I guess if you want.

I was just gonna do like the whole with the number 2 overall pick.

Or how about I introduce it and you do the pick?

How about that?

And you, you say the player, sure, sure.

00, I see what you're saying.

OK, equal division of labor here.

I see what you're saying.

Yes, let's do it.

Let's do it.

So with the number 2 pick in the 2026 NFL draft, the New York Jets select, let's see, what's the card say, Arvel Reese, Rvel Reese, or edge Ohio State.

They are both in lockstep on that.

David Bailey, if he comes to the Jets, number one, it would be, as we've said beforehand, at least before the stream.

The theme of the offseason would be good results, weird process because they did not seem as interested in David Bailey as a lot of teams picking #2 overall would be in their #2 overall pick.

He's gonna get a ton of sacks.

I think the run defense is a little overblown in terms of how bad it's going to be in the NFL.

I think he is a pretty safe player, we can argue who's safer, but I think Bailey's pass rush is a very safe trait that will translate.

But if you're drafting for ceiling.

And even if you're drafting for year one impact, it's gotta be Arvel Reese.

Even if like me, you're a little scared about the mental responsibility of drafting two guys, or drafting a guy to play two positions, excuse me, as a rookie, because he's gonna have to do some linebacker stuff and some edge stuff, you still take Arvel Reese, you still take him at 2, you let Carl Dunbar work his magic, you teach him pass rush moves, which he's never had before.

He was rushing the passer in the elite level with no pass rush tools.

Most guys can't even do that with pass rush tools, so imagine when he learns.

Bailey is 23, Arval Reese is 20, so you have more years of upside there.

By the time Reese is as old as Bailey is now, he'll probably be looking for a second contract, hopefully with the Jets .

There's a world where both of these guys end up working out very well, but there's just too much to like about Arville Reese to not take him #2 and make him the next transformative piece of the Jets' defense.

Yeah, well said, my friend.

I, I don't think I could say that any better.

Uh, you know, look, I, I think in a normal year, David Bailey probably goes back half of top 10.

That's, that would be my prediction for him in a normal draft class, unfortunately, because this is a draft class that lacks premium talent or blue chip talents and premium positions, he's gonna get pushed up the board.

I still don't think he should be in conversation in in legitimate conversations at #2 overall.

I, as much as like, if the Jets do take him at 2.

I would understand the perspective and I'd understand why they did it .

I would wholeheartedly disagree with their approach, and I would have a lot of questions about how they've approached this pre-draft process because, listen, man, David Bailey talked to reporters today, you know, you know, you don't want to just read into one or two things too much, but I just think all the tea leaves, the, the, the Monty thing was just a Freudian slip.

That didn't mean anything.

It's funny, but it doesn't mean anything.

It was, but man, it's like he hasn't even been inside the Jets building is what he told reporters today.

He hasn't even been in the facility.

And if you're picking 2nd overall, I understand, and we talked about this, the, the reasons that the Jets would implement a smokescreen, right?

You do want to create that deception at the top of the board.

You do want to create that indecision because you want teams to be calling you.

You don't want them to be calling Mosassin for it.

You don't want them to be calling Mike Borganzi.

Darren Mui wants to receive those calls.

So I understand why the Jets would worry about, not worry about, but be, you know, proactive about creating that smokescreen.

But if you're picking 2nd overall .

And you are investing this much money and this much draft capital in a player, you better be damn sure about that player.

And there is no reason to not use one of your top 30 top 30 visits on a player like David Bailey if you're planning to take him at 2.

It just seems crazy to me that they wouldn't have him in the building if the plan was to take him.

And I know the Jets have not let anything leak.

Any reporting you're hearing right now, which by the way, it seems to be pretty much perfectly 50/50 split at this stage, I don't know what the betting odds are.

To say by this time tomorrow, but it seems like half the reporters , most of them national insiders, are saying Bailey.

The other half, mostly beat guys, although Samini is on the Bailey camp, are saying Arbel Reese.

But the, uh, prediction market just went back to Reese as of a couple of minutes ago.

So they're gonna keep, they're , there's nobody, these are complete guesses.

They're educated guesses, but these are guesses.

The, the prediction problem I've had with this is that a lot of them are being framed.

As almost like source reports like, oh, I, from what who I've been talking to, it's Bailey or it's Reese.

People are guessing.

Well, that's the thing is that the Jets and even the reporters like Schrager who are like, yeah, I think it's gonna be this, they're not saying, oh, I'm getting this intel from the Jets because the Jets have let nothing leak.

Like people around the league think it'll be if Peter Schrager or whoever, I don't wanna, you know, say one person in particular, but if someone is like, yeah.

I think it's gonna be David Bailey based on conversations that I've had.

They're saying that because more people they've talked to believe it's gonna be David Bailey, and those people are agents around the league or people from other front offices.

They're speculating just like we are.

They're trying to connect dots just like we are.

So this is one of those rare instances where I don't think we have like the insiders don't really have much more information than the rest of us do.

I, I can't remember this happening.

Yeah, that wasn't a quarterback.

I can't remember it flip flopping this much.

I can remember it being indecisive and like, oh, you know, who's it gonna be and then trending in different directions.

It feels like it's switched about 8 times in the last 2 weeks, which is like absurd.

It's and it's probably gonna switch again before tomorrow, like people genuinely do not know.

Like, even, even people compare it to 2022, but it was Walker or Hutchinson, that was for the number one pick, and then number two is just gonna be, well, if they don't take Walker or Hutchinson, it'll be the other guy's gonna go too.

This is, this is different than that.

Yeah, as Brian said, one Jets drive doing a great job keeping a secret a secret.

Yeah, I mean, they're tight-lipped.

Credit to Darren Moujie.

He has Todd McShay in a pretzel right now.

Like McShay has been switching his opinion like 8 different times.

Now as we mentioned before though, both of these, Aaron Glenn wants his versatile chess pieces.

He was a versatile chess piece.

He liked him in Detroit, Brian Branch and stuff like that.

Obviously Arville Reese is not going to play defensive back, but Aaron Glenn likes guys that can do a couple of different things.

Darren Muji also is the part of the front office who he was who drafted Nick Bonito, and I think David Bailey, who is bigger than Nick Bonito, and Arvill Arville Reese, people don't talk about that, but David Bailey is bigger than Arvel Reese right now.

Yeah, he's seeing probably a lot of Nick Bonito or Brian Burns or things like that.

So really.

Yeah, I genuinely, not trying to be, it's really 50/50, and there are arguments for and against both guys, but you're drafted for ceiling with number 2, it just seems like.

There's gonna be something Orville Reese does well in the NFL, even like, kind of like when they took Leonard Williams, who I know that he, he was like the the Reese guy who fell.

By the way, Schrager Reese going to the Giants.

I don't know if that's gonna happen at 5.

I, somebody trades up before that.

If he's there at 3 or 4 in Arizona or Tennessee don't want to take him, they're gonna get a haul, like if they want to trade down.

But it reminds me when they took Leonard Williams, like he's going to do something.

Wild Chow, do you think the Jets trust their analytics department so much they take Bailey cause everything else points to Arvell.

Saying I guess cause David Bailey was like a PFF god cause, cause I think cause of, I think it was Samini had the uh the article go out where he had a lot of Bailey stats, it was like he is one of the most productive pass rushers that has entered the NFL in a while.

Uh, I, I don't know.

I don't know how much of that is being weighed by analytics or or what.

I just, we have a P. FF login like that's not info that only teams have.

Like we can look at that.

We're not part of the Jets analytics department.

I just think if you're picking 2nd overall, David Bailey is not the type of player you're taking 2nd overall.

I just don't, I again, I, I think the run defense, while it's not Will McDonald levels bad, is not at a point where I would feel comfortable with him playing 3 downs.

And I don't know how you justify drafting a guy as 2nd overall that coming into the NFL you have concerns about them playing 3 downs.

Like that feels crazy to me, especially have concerns about Arve Reese being an edge rusher at all.

What's that?

We have concerns about Reese being an edge rusher at all.

Yes, but I'm not concerned about his ability to make an impact.

Again, like there's the narrative has been that for some reason David Bailey is the safer prospect who is gonna make a bigger year one impact, and I wholeheartedly just disagree with that entirely.

I think Reese is a guy that you can bring in and and he'll play.

80% of snaps as a rookie in theory.

You can, you can absolutely do that, cause you could stand him up as one of your two off-ball linebackers.

You can, you can make him your jack linebacker, right?

You can make him a full-time edge.

Like, there's so many ways you can play him and get him on the field.

David Bailey, I think, is a bit more of a challenge to do that because there's more weaknesses in David Bailey's game than there are in Arre Reese's game.

Even if Reese isn't the pass rusher that Bailey is yet, again.

As I've said this before, like I feel like we, we're going in circles with some of these conversations, but I mean, it's Reese's players for months now, so I mean Arvill Reese is 20 years old, right?

He'll be 21 by the time week one comes around, but he is, he's not gonna be, he's gonna be 20 on draft night.

David Bailey will be 23 before week one.

Arvell Reese, you give him 2 years of, of development to be a full-time edge rusher, cause he's never trained there.

He's never been training as a pass rusher.

You give him those 2 years of development, think about what he could look in those 2 years, 2 years from now, he'd still be younger than David Bailey is now.

That's the appeal, and that's why I just can't, in my head, I can't really justify taking David Bailey over Arvo Reese.

I look, David Bailey is not crash out worthy.

He's, he's just, no, he's not crash out, but I would be disappointed.

I would be underwhelmed and disappointed if they took David Bailey.

I honestly wouldn't even be because I would get it.

Like I would, I would totally get it.

I would get it, but I wouldn't agree with it.

Like I would get why I might not agree with it either, but like, my, it's not something I would disagree with so wholeheartedly.

I'm like, how could they possibly do this?

If they take Bailey over Reese, that tells me that they really don't trust their coaching staff to maximize Armo Reese as a as a player, like they don't believe that he can.

They don't believe that they can maximize not only like what he could do as a pass rusher, but just get him on the field enough and and allow him to make an impact.

They don't see that role for him in this defense, which, given everything Aaron Glenn has said about the defense he plans to run in 2026, that seems crazy to me, cause you would, again, and Arvi Reese said this today when he was talking to reporters.

He said that the Jets basically told him he was a perfect fit for their defense, and I agree with that 100%.

He would be, which is why it'd be.

Crazy to me if they passed on that to take David Bailey, who I think is a harder fit in the defense, partially because you already have a guy named Will McDonald who's also a liability against the run, and I just don't think he allowed he's not gonna be that against the run though.

No, I didn't say he is, but it's, it's a lie, he's a liability against the run right now.

It's definitely not a strength of his game and just Reese just allows you to do so much more on defense.

I wonder if Carl Dunbar is a tiebreaker.

I wonder if everything's even and Carl Dunbar's like, I want this guy over that guy.

I wonder if that might carry some weight.

Maybe, I don't know.

Zimmerman, uh, said, afternoon gents agree, uh, agree about Reese.

Love Bailey, but after the team led up the 4th most rushing yards, Reese impacted against the run and developing his pass rush long term makes sense.

Look, and they already addressed a lot of their run defense needs in free agency and in the offseason.

They brought in DeAndre Sweat, David.

Yamad is gonna help there.

Kingsley and Akbari is a good run defender.

Demario Davis is still a good run defender.

They kept Phillips and didn't get rid of him after all the moves.

They kept Phillips.

Mika Fitzpatrick is a very good run defender.

That's certainly gonna help you there more than Andre Cisco or Jarvis Brownlee were.

So, you know, Brownlee, obviously he'll fight, but he's not, he, he's not gonna be as, as sure of a tackler.

Um, but yeah, I, I, they already addressed some of those run defense needs, but I still think.

If, if you wanna, I don't know, if you want the more complete player, I still think Arbell Reese is the guy.

Totally.

But then again, you could use the argument like we said on last show of, well, they got all their run defense guys, so now that way they can put two, you could speed edge rushers on the field and still defend the run.

I think Arbell Reese has a higher current floor and a higher ceiling than than David Bailey.

That's, that's my read on it, and it's hard to justify taking Bailey.

I agree with that.

I think Bailey, if, if you would like to sim their careers 100 times, I think Bailey's got a lot more outcomes right in the middle, and Reese has a lot more bust where he didn't figure it out.

I, I think Reese, I, no, I think Reese has a higher floor than Bailey as well.

I just, I just think like as we mentioned before, and again I'm taking Arvel Reese too.

I prefer Arvel Reese, but the undertaking of well we have to make our number 2 pick learn an entirely new position on the fly and be good enough where he changes our defense while he's learning like if they're through 9 weeks and he has 1 sack and it's well he's still coming along, like there's gonna be , there's gonna be some what's going on here, you know.

I think they'll also get a lot of blowback if they draft Bailey and Bailey.

Is fine, like he's fine as a pass rusher, but he's not this game changing pass rusher that he was in college, because, well, McDonald is, well, McDonald is a good pass rusher, but you know, he's not right.

If David Bailey is a Will McDonald type, I think they'd get a ton of heat for that, and rightfully so, because they would have passed on Arvo Reese.

Also, again, the pre-draft process just bizarre to me, like not even bringing him in the building.

It just, it seems like everything points to the fact that they're gonna draft Arvo Reese.

So if they draft David Bailey, I will throw my hands up and be very surprised.

So let's move on to pick number 16. Who do you wanna go first, me or you?

You can, you can go first.

All right, because 16 looks like receiver time.

Uh, a lot of people are thinking they might trade up, a lot of people are thinking they might trade back or just take the best receiver available, or wait until 33.

I think they take the best receiver available, and Justin with the 16th pick in the 2026 NFL draft, the New York Jets select.

Makai Lemon, let's go, buddy.

Let's go.

Here's why I think they can get Lemon at 16.

I'm gonna hear my mock, here's my mock going up to 16.

There are, I think, 2 objectionable picks.

But I think they go, uh, maybe that's where Lemon could go, but I think they're pretty, I don't wanna say 50/50, but like, there's really only two inflection points here.

Cause it's your Reese Bailey love for Styles 5 , that's the top 5.

That seems like chalk, despite some of the rumors.

Mawagoa Downs, Tate 6782 Browns, Commanders, Saints, Ruben Bain 9, Jordan Tyson 10, cause I think the Giants really like Tyson.

Yeah.

11 is the Dolphins.

Here's one.

I've still them taking Kenyon Siddiq, I think that makes a ton of sense for him, but they could take Lemon there, but I think Siddiq.

Delane to the Cowboys at 12.

The Rams, you hear receiver a lot with them.

I still have them going.

Spencer Fo at 13.

I think Fano's gotten a lot of buzz lately.

It's kind of a higher up guy.

I never really wavered on that.

14, the Ravens get V uh Vengeoane, 15, Jamal McCoy, the Bucks, leaving Makay Lemon at 16 to the Jets.

So you have Cooper still on the board as well.

Cooper still on the board.

Boston still all the receivers are still on the board.

Only 2 go in the top 150 outside of Tyson Tate.

Yeah, it's a Tyson and Tate.

Now, lemons not this burner.

He does play bigger than his size, but I don't think he's gonna be in the NFL, the same contested catch weapon he was in college just because bigger, stronger, faster, you can't win against guys who are gonna be, you know, working as insurance salesmen in a couple of years or assistant coaches in the same sort of way against NFL athletes, but If, if he's gonna play primarily in the slot, like if Mitchell's on the outside, Garrett's on the outside.

I mean he could right now he's a great route runner in the NFL today and then now he's only gonna get better.

The hands are good.

The playmaking is good.

There's a suddenness to his game that I really like.

The catch radius is pretty good and the speed is, I would say, adequate.

Like it's probably high 4 5s, maybe low 44s.

He's a classic quicker than fast guy, quicker than fast, yeah, I think is not to use a scouting, you know, axiom and fast.

It fits here.

I think he's going to have of the big three receivers, you could argue he might be the best year one, cause I think Tate.

I think Tate's the best receiver in this class.

I think he needs a year to adjust to the physicality of the NFL game, and then he will, and he'll be fine.

And then Tyson, I just don't know where he's at medically.

I know he had a, a, a route running exhibition running against nobody, so that doesn't tell me anything.

He could have just like done donuts in a parking lot for all I care.

That would have told me as much about him as a player as that little exhibition did.

I don't know what he was thinking.

But Lemon can come right in, immediately be the slot, and then you have Garrett Wilson, Adelai Mitchell, Makai Lemon, and Mason Taylor all in your passing game, and that's a really, really good assemblage of pass catchers that outside of that time when they had Devonte Adams at the end of the Let's try Hail Mary with Aaron Rodgers, that's their best skill position collection they've had in years, maybe since the playoff drought began.

Dude, I've been on the Makai Lemon train since the start.

He's, he's my wide receiver one in his class.

I don't do rankings, but he's my favorite receiver in his class.

He's Tyson for me, but he's still good.

If Tyson's medicals were clean, he'd be wide receiver one, but I have to, I have to account for the medicals.

The Jets need another reliable receiving threat, right?

I'm very high on A and Mitchell.

I think you are as well.

I would not call him a reliable receiving option going into 2026.

I think he's a boom or bust guy.

I think if, if.

He continues to the the upward trajectory that I think he showed in the second half of last year with the Jets, then maybe, yeah, maybe you can get a wide receiver, 2, wide receiver, 3 out of him, but he's still a boom or bust guy.

He's not somebody that's gonna be a reliable 3rd down chain mover.

That's Makai Lemon.

Honestly , he reminds me a little bit, and I'm surprised I haven't thought of this comparison before this point, cause I also love this this wide receiver.

He reminds me a little bit of Lod McConkie.

I feel like they have similar skill sets, similar strengths as players, a little bigger.

He's like 10 pounds bigger.

I think he, who, who you said Lemon's bigger than Ladd, yeah, yeah, Lemon's about, I think McConkie might be an inch taller, but Lemon is a little bit thicker.

I think Lemon's like 190 something.

Ladd was probably 180.

Uh, Ladd also had some injuries at at Georgia, which Makai Lemon does not, so that's, that's encouraging too.

He just gets open, and I know the, the athleticism is probably gonna catch up to him a little bit more at the NFL level.

I, I, while I still love Makai Lemon, I think I'm.

I've come back down to earth a little bit with him, where I see a world where he's just not a wide receiver one at the NFL level, and there's a good chance he just never becomes like a go to guy because of his lack of athleticism, because of the, the lack of size, but he's just so clearly going to be an awesome NFL player.

Like, even if the athleticism isn't there, uh, compared to other NFL athletes.

Just gets open.

He, he knows how to get open.

He is the best route runner in this class.

I would love that.

Unfortunately, Mike, I don't know if the Jets share that opinion because I don't have the Jets taking Mikayleman at 16.

Let's get to a couple of comments.

Uh, Steve Bolzan says Cooper Lemon will be gone, man.

I think Cooper is the favorite if Lemon is gone.

I think there's people are dooming a little too much about that.

I think Cooper is a pretty good pick at 16.

My prediction has been that Makai Lemon will be there at 16 and that the Jets will pass on him.

That's been my prediction.

I, I've made that prediction a couple of times now.

I think, uh, the other part of that prediction is I think Omar Cooper goes before Mackay Lemon.

I think Omar Cooper goes possibly as high as the Rams.

I, I think he makes a lot of sense as a Rams target.

He just feels more like a Rams receiver than Makai Lemon.

Like I feel like they like those feistier type of guys, right?

Lemon just feels.

Little small for the Rams, right, a little small, like it doesn't really fit is bigger.

Adams is bigger.

Yeah, I feel like they look more for that type of receiver, so I, I, I would, I think if the Rams had their choice of Cooper or Lemon and they wanted to take a wide receiver, I think they'd take Cooper.

I'm not, that doesn't mean they're gonna take a wide receiver, but that would.

Be my guess right now.

Uh, I feel like the people that are like, well, I don't think Cooper could be a number one receiver ever.

I'm like, good thing he doesn't have to be.

Good thing they have Garrett Wilson.

I just need to see that, I like, my big hesitation with Cooper still is that I'm not sure he could play outside, which is kind of the same thing with, with Lemon.

I just like Lemon a lot better as a, as a player .

Uh, I think if you're drafting Cooper, you want him to be able to play a little bit outside, and he didn't really face a lot of press in Indiana.

He didn't really, he did not play a lot.

I know he played a little bit more outside in 2024.

2025 is pretty much exclusively in the slot, but both those offenses, Indiana and USC, are extremely fake.

Yeah, they don't, they are not in in terms of the route tree.

They are not NFL route trees.

USC and Okla Oklahoma and, uh, Indiana, both of them, yes.

So they they'd have to probably a little bit of like, whoa, OK, this is what I gotta do as an NFL slot receiver, but they're both still good.

And then one last one before Justin makes his pick, uh, slow runner, wouldn't surprise me if the Jets trade up for Tate if he's there at number 7, then trade back from 33 and get an extra 3rd round pick where they can pick a guard or a center.

That's a dream scenario right there.

It is.

I, I'm almost, Mike, I think I've gotten to a point where I'm souring a bit on trading up for Carnell Tate.

Because I think Tate just like, well, how high the 7?

Like what if about 12, is that different?

Basically, basically if you give up one of the second round picks, I wouldn't want to do it.

That's kind of where I stand.

If you don't end up, unless you're moving down from like 44 to 50 something or 60 something, whatever, right?

If you're still in the 2nd round, more palatable to do it that way, but if you're trading up trading away 44 and you end up just with 3 picks in the top two rounds.

I top 3 rounds potentially, I would probably not want to do that for a wide receiver too.

Yeah, I, I like Carnell Tate a lot.

He's another guy that like, even like with Makai Lemon, I don't know if he's gonna be a wide receiver one at the NFL level.

I don't know if he's ever gonna be a top 20.

He wasn't in college.

He had Jeremiah Smith and Marvin Harrison.

I don't know if Carnell Tate is ever gonna be a top 20 wide receiver in the NFL, and if that's the case, are you really giving up two top 45 picks to get him?

It's a lot.

That's, that's a lot to give up for him, you know, especially cause he's not gonna be wide receiver one of your own team.

Tom Pellicero just tweeted out Carson Beck could go in the 1st round.

Every year we get to this point in the draft process, and there's like some random 5th round prospect that they're like a 5th round quarterback that they're like, hey, he could go round one, it could happen, and it never happens.

All this year it's Carson Beck.

Who was it last year?

There was right before the draft, it was like these guys could go round one, and I'm trying to remember who it was.

Every year they were kind of right because he went Chuck ended up going, Chuck was a late riser, but he ended up going, what was, what was the QB class last year who uh I'm trying to remember where all these guys went.

Uh, Milroe, Mel, I think McCord as well.

There was a point where McCord got around one hype.

If I, he didn't.

If I'm remembering correctly, I, I swear.

I think there was a point where Kyle McCord got.

There's, there's no way.

Yeah, I mean, it was insane.

Well, it's Carson Beck, is it Carson Beck, the earliest Carson Beck's going is round 3.

I don't 2 with 5 memberships donated.

Welcome to the mock draft, Chew.

What a guy.

I'mF.

Brian Sternbeck.

I'd point out Garrett Wilson was not a wide receiver, one at Ohio State.

Yeah, it's fair.

I mean, look, I, I don't hold it fully against Cardinal Tate because he's playing alongside his fault.

They have this awesome, yeah, he's playing alongside Jeremiah Smith, who's gonna be, you know, barring anything crazy happening, will be a top 7 pick next year, right?

Top 5 pick potentially.

Uh, so I don't hold that as much against him.

I just don't know if he's gonna be a wide receiver one at the NFL level.

Like, I hate even phrasing his wide receiver one.

I'll say like top 20 wide receiver.

I don't know if Car, I think he could be that in, in some scenarios, but.

I don't know.

I don't know if I want to give up that much, especially cause I do think a receiver is gonna be there at 16, and that'll segue me to my pick here, which.

Mike, and this is for the newcomers, we both had Arvell Reese at number 2.

I had Makai Lemmon at number 16, and Justin has.

Yes, so in this scenario, I'm gonna say Makai Lemon is still on the board, and I'm gonna say Omar Cooper is off the board, and he went to the Rams.

Jordan Tyson is off the board.

Carnell Tate is off the board.

And I also want to preface this by saying, I think this pick makes a lot more sense as the trade down, and I would very much, I think it's more likely that the Jets trade down from 16 than they trade up .

I know there's a lot of buzz about teams potentially trying to jump the lines for an offensive tackle, so maybe Amanro Freling is there at 16 or whoever.

Right?

Spencer Fo probably wouldn't, I don't know if Caleb Loma is gonna go that high, but whoever, whatever tackle first rounder, he could be, whatever tackle that a team might want to jump the, the Lions for, the Lions pick at 17, the Jets are at 16.

I think the Jets are gonna be in a really good trade down spot.

And I think if they could move down 4 or 5 picks, I know it's gonna say 16 here, but we didn't do trades.

I think a guy that makes a lot of sense, Mike.

With the 16th overall pick, the Jets select.

Washington wide receiver Denzel Boston.

I think it's not, he's not in my top tier of receivers, but I've kind of come full circle on him.

Normally, I shy away from receivers like Denzel Boston, who are more so these jump ball physical ex-receivers, but I think he does all the things well that you want one of those types of receivers to do.

And I think if you're getting him at pick 23 or whatever, pick 22.

That's a lot more, you know, makes a lot more sense than if you're grabbing him at 16.

But as we've seen with Aaron Glenn, teams in the past, if you want to say what the Lions have done, they're not afraid to reach a little bit if they love a player.

They did it with Jack Campbell, they did it with Jamir Gibbs.

We've seen it time and time again that they've also done it with Giovanni Manu, right?

Wasn't that the Canadian dude that they traded a 4th round pick for a 3rd round pick?

Yep, literally gave the Jets a free draft pick, uh, for it.

Uh, so it doesn't always work out, but I, I think that if they like Denzel Boston at 16 and they like him more than Makai Lemon, which I fear that they might.

That's my fear is that they want a bigger receiver.

That's, that's my current fear, which means, I mean, it would make sense.

It would make sense, but Makai Lemon is just a significantly better player than Denzel Boston , in my opinion, but You get Denzel Boston in his offense, that gives you the the best red zone threat that the Jets have had in a while, at the wider.

I mean they they have Devonte Adams, I guess if you want to say the half year that they had Devante Adams, he'd be in that category as well.

Um, I think Denzel Boston complements what you have in Garrett Wilson and Adam Mitchell extremely well.

He's a physical blocker, which is what they need.

He's got some of the best hands in his class.

I wish I pulled this up, but I, I'm pretty sure he had like one drop all of last season or something.

Uh, he moves really well for a guy his size, kind of like Casey Concepcion, who could be another pick in this era.

Rich Cimini , I'm going with Concepcion.

He's a guy who I think had bad quarterback play, and he bailed out bad quarterback play a lot, so there were a lot of errant throws he reeled in.

He was able to showcase that, that, uh, what do you call the, uh, the, the, his body control.

I, uh, what's the range, right, is catch radius, as Steve Bolson becomes a member.

Thank you, Steve.

Hey, thank you, Steve.

What a guy.

Appreciate it, buddy.

Um, but yeah, I, he only had 5 drops on 132 catches in college.

He is what this Jets offense needs in some ways.

Maybe this is a little bit high for him, especially if you're taking him at 16.

I think it's a little high for a skill set like Denzel Boston, but This is my predictive mock.

I would take Makay Lemon if he was there at 16.

I think the Jets would go a bigger guy.

Brian Glick, I'm on team trade down.

More picks equals more chances of hitting.

Jet draft is not a guarantee to work out.

Jets need more at-bats, especially in a draft like this, where I think it really falls off after the top 12-ish picks, 13 picks.

Like the Jets are at a point at 16 where.

There's gonna be some scouts and some analysts who don't even have 16 1st round raids on players in this class.

I saw one guy who had 8, right?

So you're, you're, you're kind of reaching that point where David Bailey was one of them though.

So there you go , there you go, where you're reaching that point where the waters get a little bit muddied, right?

I think actually, I think Trevor Sycamo had Bailey as a 2nd round grade.

Which is kind of crazy.

Uh, he's the lowest I've seen of, I think he had Bailey at 19, like 19, yeah, and that was the 2nd round grade for him.

Um, but yeah, I, I think it makes a lot of sense to trade down.

I think it makes more sense in my opinion.

I would prefer a trade down from 16 as opposed to a trade up if that trade up requires you to give up one of those 2nd round picks.

I will say too though, a little bit of advice from Brooklyn Nets land, uh, everybody likes picks until they use them.

Everybody always take the picks, take the picks, take the picks.

Then you gotta draft the guys, then eventually you can't just have 25 picks too.

That's another thing I was saying with the Nets too, like you can't have 11 1st round picks and develop them all at the same time.

They tried.

You also can't take 15 guys in the draft and all get them snaps and I'll work on them, and then a lot of them hit.

Like that's a, that's a lot.

Wasn't the Rams roster, was it 2 years ago?

Didn't they have like 20, like 15 rookies or something like that on the roster or something insane like that.

Something a lot of UDFAs, but yeah, it was some UDFAs obviously.

They, they all three, their kicker, punter, and long snapper were all rookies as well, and Matthew Stafford certainly helps mitigate that , of course, I'm not, I'm just, I'm just saying, I'm just using a recent example.

Second round, yep, pick 33.

What do you got for us, Mike?

I think one of these picks is gonna be an offensive lineman that either kicks Dylan Parham to center or Is a center, which I think is unlikely because this pure center class is not great.

There's a lot of good guards, but not a lot of great centers, unless you're projecting like I've seen some people saying like a Spencer Fo could move the center.

Like there's some guys that you could play there tackle the center is tough to move though.

Isn't Brian Parker doing that from, uh, from Duke?

Isn't he doing Graham Barton did it too, but Graham Barton they're rare.

Why, why both Duke guys.

I think Duke maybe has like a build they probably like for tackles and then they take him inside.

But Justin, I'm gonna go actually with an offensive lineman here, because We got a receiver.

We got our star defender, in this case, Arvell Reese.

Cornerback makes a lot of sense, but the pure, a lot of the pure corners I like are gone.

Like Chris Johnson is off the board at this point.

Chris Johnson would be a great pick for the Jets.

They had a visit with him, but he'd be off the board in this mock.

OK, so I'm looking at.

A guy who I think can come in, play right away, move par to center, immediately a really good run blocker.

With the 33rd pick in the 2026 mock draft, cause it ain't the real trash, the Jet press mock draft press the Jets will select.

Emmanuel Pregnant from Oregon.

He, it was weird watching him with Indiana, because you saw the best and the worst of him.

In the playoff game, you saw a guy who didn't do great with speed and a couple different fronts, like, yeah, not the best game.

Go watch him in the regular season against Indiana, just obliterated him, just completely annihilated him.

Really strong.

I mean, look at that.

Not to ogle somebody's, uh, physical features here, but like look at that guy's thighs.

No, man, he, he's built.

That, that's like the size of my waist.

If you look at that, so if you look at that, you see a guy who looks like.

Because of the green pants, it looks like the, uh, you know, the squidward meme where when all the all the like ate all the crappy pants, yeah, and they went all those sizes, that's what this looks like, but like it looks like it looks like muscle.

You get a guy who was just built like a fire hydrant.

I like his movement skills too.

I think there are some technique things he needs to clear up, but Steve Hayden, I think, he's done a pretty good job as an offensive line coach.

I think you can definitely work with that.

The anchor in pass protection for a guard, I think, is very impressive.

I think if he does that, look at this offensive line.

You can make a case if Pregnant hits, your worst offensive lineman would be Dylan Parham, who you signed to a multi-year contract.

You have Fashanu, Pregnon, Parham, Titman.

Armand Membo, that is one of the best offensive lines in the league.

Right away, and again, I know Pregnant is not gonna be for everybody, he had some wildly inconsistent moments on tape, like Texas Tech 2 in the playoffs where it was Lee Hunter and David Bailey, who was, by the way, insane in the Oregon game, and then uh not Skyler Gill Howard, I'm thinking of the other Romelo Height.

Like they, they had some moments against him, but man, oh man, oh man, if he hits, you're getting a guy who very similar to Joe Titman, I don't think he's gonna be like an all-pro, but just good starter, set him and forget him for half a decade.

Yep.

And he, he's already 20, almost 25.

He's be 25 before the season starts.

He's an older guy, experienced guy too .

It's not just that he's old, 43 career college starts that you don't see that too often.

He was in Wyoming and then transferred.

Yes, yeah.

Now some of that obviously didn't come at Oregon, but he was also USC.

He had 2 years as a starter at USC as well, where he was second team All-Big 10, and then of course this past year, first team and Makai Lemon, very, uh, USC draft here.

Yeah, yeah, that's true, to, to USC.

Learned our lesson with Sanchez and and Donald, I guess we're still going back to, or, uh, who, who else that I was thinking Deonte Burnett.

They didn't draft him though.

They didn't draft Deonte Burnett.

I think he's still kicking around in the UFL.

Shout out.

Oh, Chummaoga was a USC guy too.

Oh, Chuma, hey, he's still, I believe he's still in the NFL.

He was last somehow, man.

He's still around.

Good for him.

He actually got better after leaving, which is not surprising, but if you're an athletic tackle, you're gonna have a career in the NFL as long as you're not complete dog shit, and he's.

Only mildly dog shit.

Uh, no disrespect to Olsen says, uh, Bassantis are pregnant.

Bassantis at 44 was kind of with the other situation I was looking at.

I'm actually surprised because you, you didn't you originally have Basantis in your?

I did.

I just did the mock and Pregnant was there at 33, and I think it makes a ton of sense.

I've seen , I would rather Pregnant at 33, DB at 44, because some of the, I think there could be a run on defensive backs at the beginning of the second round.

And I don't love some of the defensive backs there, so I don't wanna overdraft a cornerback.

I'd rather overdraft maybe a lineman and then get your value guy in the secondary, which again, they invested a lot in free agency with Mina and DeShaun Wright and Ding Belton and all these guys.

So I don't think it's maybe as pressing of a need as a lot of Jets or the Jets themselves seem to think.

So I think right now 44 could be prime.

Defensive back spot.

Pregnant is not I didn't think would be there at 33, as I was looking at teams like San Francisco or Houston, and then he was there.

I'm like, oh, perfect.

The highest I've seen Pregnant go, I think, is is 22 to the Chargers.

Is that when they picked 22 to the Chargers.

That's the highest I've seen Pregnant go.

I had them taking Peter Woods, so, oh, Peter Woods, interesting that I feel like that'd be high for him at this stage.

I know obviously he's a weird, he's a weird player to project cause I could see him going, I guess, anywhere as high as there's to.

Somewhere late in the 2nd round, like, I think maybe mid 2nd round, just somebody's gonna take a chance on.

I wouldn't hate that value pick if he's there at 44 against like a RA Thomas where you're just like, hey, crazy value, right, where they don't need a D tackle, but it's like, man, we could, we could take a swing on this guy.

We got like a top 20 pick at 44.

You do that.

Yes , well, uh, I feel like looking at our mocks, Mike, we didn't coordinate this at all.

Ahead of time, but I feel like we went very similar directions with some of these.

I'm looking at what's ahead for you at 44 and me at 44, but, uh, first at 33 for myself, I wanna make a couple comments.

Uh, Steve Bols and, I love CJ Allen at 33.

He's a tackle machine.

I had him going to Dallas at 20, so he, he might go first round.

And then, uh, Chris B, how about Keylin Rutledge?

Oh, just you wait.

Stay tuned, buddy.

Stay tuned.

Stay tuned.

Very, uh, 33.

No, I don't have Keyan Keyan Rutledge going here, I guess that might spoil what my next pick might be, but I'll preface this by saying I think the Jets, based on all the reports we've heard, I think they love Colton Hood.

You know, I don't know how much of that is coming obviously from the Jets and how much of that is coming from Colton Hood's agent or other teams that have talked to reporters, but there's a lot of love right now.

What percentage of rumors are just agents talking to people nowadays?

Could be a lot of them.

Feel like it's most of it now.

It didn't used to be like this.

It used to be sourced reports.

Yeah, it might, it might be a lot of them.

That's how it goes, man.

That's, that's, that's how it didn't used to be how it .

We were talking about this.

People shit on the Jets beat.

I just, I feel like most local beats don't really get a ton of scoops these days because everything just goes to national insiders because they all just write whatever slop the agent wants on the right.

Like, what the players just say it themselves.

Like back in the day they'd have to talk to the press to say something.

Now they can just tweet it out.

So yeah, so people get on the Jets beat for not reporting shit.

Look at beats around the league.

They're not really reporting a lot these days.

It's just, it's just not super common, especially when the Jets are making a point of like, don't tell anybody anything for the last year.

But it seems like there's a lot of stuff out there about the Jets liking Colton Hood.

Another guy I think they also like, you mentioned him as well, Mike, Chris Johnson.

I think Chris Johnson has a really good chance to go round one, which might surprise some people at this stage, but it really shouldn't.

He's one of those guys that's like you just have to weigh the, the, the level of competition that he played at, cause obviously he played at San Diego State and.

I, I think that what I watched of him was fantastic.

It's just, you know, you have to remember like, oh, he's going against guys in the Mountain West or whatever.

Uh, but I think in this scenario, both of them are off the board, and that's why, Mike, I do have them taking a corner, but it's neither of those guys.

This is another scenario where I think trading down makes more sense, maybe grabbing this guy at like 37, 38, whatever.

But instead, they stay at 33 in this mock and Mike with the 33rd overall pick in the Jet press mock draft, 2026, 7th round mock draft, whatever.

The New York Jets select.

D'Angelo Pons, cornerback, Indiana.

Mike, I had an opportunity to to talk to D'An D'Angelo Pons after they won the national championship in Bloomington, and uh extremely impressive, extremely impressive man.

And I think he is going to be someone that.

I bet he interviewed extremely well.

I bet Aaron Glenn, I bet Aaron Glenn took one look at his tape and talked to this.

If he talked, I'm sure Aaron Glenn talked to him.

Well, Aaron Glenn, I think, is like this is exactly me at Texas A&M, and he talked to him and he's like, oh, we have to get this dude to the Jets.

We, we need this guy for all of his physical limitations.

What's he listed at?

5'8.

What is he?

5'8, 59, 170.

Yeah , and I don't even, again, I, that's uh spurious.

I don't even know that is, that is, that is generous calling him 5'9.

Uh, what is, what did he measure in at?

He measured in his pro day at exactly 5'8, 180 pounds.

If he were even like 5'11, 190, he's probably like the top cornerback.

He just plays so freaking hard, and he's a really great athlete.

He's fast as hell.

He can jump super high.

Great instincts.

He plays so much bigger than 5'8, 180, even if you watch him and you're like, yeah, he's 5'8, 180.

There was, I forget who, I think it was, might have been Denzel Boston.

There was a a highlight going around where he pressed Denzel Boston at the line and locked him up, and I know it's not helping my, my pick here at 16, but like Denzel Boston is what, 64, 220 or whatever he is, maybe 64.

He's big, huge.

D'Angelo Pond is a lot smaller than him.

He plays so hard, and he's a guy that, look, I know people gonna look at his size and say he's probably a slot guy at the NFL level.

I'd give him a shot on the outside.

I'd let him, I'd let him try and see if he could do it.

And if it doesn't work, maybe you just got a great slot corner cause I think he's gonna be an awesome slot player at the NFL level.

But man, maybe it's like, oh, how Brett Grimes, how tall was Brett Grimes?

Remember him?

He was small, no?

was 5'10, 5'10.

I mean, it's obviously it's a little bit 5'10, 185.

He also was undrafted, so I know, but he had an awesome career as an outside corner, was a Pro Bowler, if I remember correctly.

5'10 Tampa and the Dolphins.

Dolphins, yeah, 5'10, 185, Brent Grimes.

Pons is 2 inches shorter, 5 pounds lighter.

I just, I, you can't overlook the intensity that he plays with, and I think he's someone that Aaron Glenn's gonna take one look at and love.

Uh, keep it simple, so Aaron Glenn doesn't like short defensive backs.

Another guy I'd keep an eye on, not at, not at 33, but if they want a bigger guy, Ephesians Priceo from Washington, bigger corner if they want one of those bigger guys.

I was thinking along the lines of like, OK, I think they tipped their hand a little bit with the corners they looked at last year.

Obviously they signed Brandon Stevens.

They drafted Azaria Thomas.

Both of those guys are more physical big man corners.

They signed Deshaun Wright.

They signed Deshaun Wright as well.

I just think Aaron Glenn's gonna fall in love with D'Angelo Pons, and D'Angelo Pons, by the way, also a physical man corner.

He's just small.

Like he's, it's not like he can't play that scheme.

You just have to be like, all right, how much is this lack of size going to impact at the NFL level?

And I think the way when he matched up against NFL talent in college, it really didn't impact him that much.

I think he could do it.

The problem though is it doesn't matter until it does.

Like, of course, there's reasons that there aren't that many that Aaron Glenn as a player was an anomaly, a 59 outside corner who could play.

There's reasons for that.

So he had one that's already 2 anomalies out of 3.

You're drafting cause you have Arvel Reese, who we don't know what position he's gonna be best at, and then D'Angelo Pons where we don't know where he's gonna play yet.

Despite his size, Mike, you know how many, you know how many flags D'Angelo Pons had last year in Indiana?

11.

He would flee, he was flagged once all season with pass interference against Oregon.

Only time he was flagged.

He's also a damn good tackler for his he is, he is a great tackler, awesome tackler.

Like you wouldn't, other than the fact that you visibly could see that he's 5'8, 180, he plays so much bigger.

Like, again, I just I'm afraid like somebody they're gonna be playing like Baltimore and Derrick Henry is gonna come off the edge and D'Angelo Pon versus Derrick Henry.

And look, I don't know if he, I don't know if he survives that if Derrick Henry's got momentum.

He, he's gonna have limitations because of his size at the NFL level.

I don't think those limitations will prevent him from being a really good player.

I, I don't think he's ever, I don't, I don't either.

He's not gonna be sauce.

I don't know, but yeah, he'll be good.

He's not gonna be Sauce Gardner, but I, I certainly think he could be a really good starting corner, and again, I'd give him a shot at outside corner.

Steve says, I like Keith Abney from Arizona State at 33.

Not 33 is a little high, but wouldn't hate it.

Yeah, and then, uh, thoughts on Brandon Cisa.

He's a project, a little bit of a project, great athlete, very fast, got good and a little handsy, a lot of penalties, but he's, he's traits that you're just hoping you can clean up all of the mess in his game right now, which is the penalties of in a way, yeah, yeah, in some ways, he, you know, what he reminds me of, I guess, a little bit, kind of like a Kyre Elam, which is, you know, it's an unfortunate comp for him because he has busted the NFL level.

It was the same story.

It was the same story for Elam coming out of Florida.

No, like it was like.

Traits traits guy, super big and fast, but he was also like a top recruit too, so that he kind of got that bias in there too, I guess, yeah, but I, I feel like it's a similar thing, and he's also obviously the Palit he say is he's 20 years old, he's only played 3 years in college, and I believe he was a true freshman he played as.

So it's very young and experienced, raw guy who has all these athletic traits, but He's gotta learn.

He's gotta play cornerback, and I, I think he struggles with that right now.

Rob Serafinowitz, the thirty-third pick is much more worth than is worth much more, excuse me, than a slot corner who wouldn't play because of Fitzpatrick.

I disagree that I think D'Angelo Pons would start over Azaria Thomas at outside corner.

Well, I think he's, I think he, if you , if Pons is a slot guy, which I think he's more likely he's a slot guy than an outside guy.

I would, I think they're gonna make Minka this like big nickel thing that was in Miami, which it seems like they might, then he has to play outside and I would.

I think there's more of a chance of Azaria playing on the outside, which there's, that's all he can play than D'Angelo Pons.

I don't view Pons as a slot corner.

I think he might end up being that at the NFL level.

I view him as an outside corner first and then a slot guy second, and I would like the grounding where he can do both, but then he's better at the slot.

But Brownlee, how much slot did he play in college?

Was that, was that like, cause Pods did not play slot in Indiana.

He was there.

He was a starting outside cornerback.

I don't remember.

I think they moved.

Him around and then the Titans moved him outside fully.

Yeah, I, I, I think Pons right now is a better outside cornerback than Azaria Thomas.

I think he would beat out Thomas if, if they were given a training camp battle.

Well, we're almost 1 hour in, so let's get to pick 44 here.

This is gonna be a long streak.

It's gonna be a long one.

We're training for tomorrow.

Tomorrow, yeah, this is gonna be a as Justin's gonna have no bathroom breaks for 4 hours.

Let's go with this is my favorite pick of this draft.

You love this dude.

Even more than Arvel Reese, he's the guy I'm higher on than most of the consensus guys.

He's a guy that I think totally fits what the Jets want.

He's a guy that I think is, I think , really good value.

I think he is underrated because of his age, because I think there's a bias against like the guys who are gonna be 25 year old rookies, but this guy just does everything well with the forty-fourth pick.

The New York Jets will select.

Trading Stooks.

Trading Stooks from Arizona.

You can listen to whatever you want.

Defensive back is the way to do it.

He can play safety.

He could play nickel.

He could play outside if you need him to.

62, super fast, really long arms.

Not, not only can he play the nickel if they wanna put Minka back at safety, he can play safety if they wanna put Minka at nickel.

He can play outside if people get hurt.

Now he has gotten hurt, which is a problem.

He is going to be older, and again, like Arvel Reese, you gotta figure out where to put him.

But if we're to believe the Arvell Reese rumors.

And we're gonna believe versatility, versatility, versatility.

That's what they want.

This is the guy you want as a defensive back, a guy who's done it.

You're not gonna have to spend a ton of developmental energy because he's a very finished product who come right in and make plays, and he doesn't lock anybody in anywhere because he's not, he can play safety, but it's not like he has to be there, and then Malachi Moore can never play.

It's not like he has to be a nickel, nickel, excuse me.

And then uh Mina Fitzpatrick has to go play safety or something else.

He's not like he's an outside quarterback, and it's RA Thomas, what the hell are we doing here?

Trading Stokkes, I'm probably gonna go kill this guy's career because I said he's my favorite player in the draft.

You, you, dude, you were glowing when you announced this pick.

You were beaming .

This was, yeah, because every year I kind of pick a guy I'm like way higher on than the consensus.

Sometimes it works out.

Like I remember Tariq Wallen, uh, from a couple of years ago.

I had like a high 2nd rounder.

Um, I think the first year I really started doing scouting, I had Aaron Jones as like a high 2nd round pick.

There you go.

It ended up being pretty good.

Sometimes it's Eric Gray for the Giants who sucks, but sometimes it can be a guy, hopefully like trading Stokkes with the Jets.

At this stage, are you even that much higher?

Stokkes has gotten so much love.

Where it was, you know why?

I, I wanna put him on blast.

My guy Marcus Moser for fansite says, I first off, I put on my big board.

I had him at 32.

He goes, I haven't seen anybody.

Says is in the top 50.

The minute he puts, he hits send on that tweet, a lot of people are saying Stooks might go in the top of the 2nd round.

I want to see where he is on a consensus, I guess they look in a corner on the consensus board.

He is at 54 on a consensus board, so you're really not that much higher than him at this point.

When I, when I was finalizing my grades, he was in the 90s.

Yeah, that's crazy.

That's wild.

What, what is he?

What is he?

He never lost.

What is he for you now?

What is, what is , what would you do?

32.

You got him in the top 3.

Well, you got, so you got it what, a second round grade on him.

Matt, Matt Fitzgerald on the, uh, he's gonna be on the show.

He had a 21.

That's right.

A lot of trading Duke's love on the show.

He ponds at like 15 too, so that's, you know, he likes his versatility.

So, hey, hey, keeping it simple.

So Mike over Justin.

Hey, there we go.

is Rob Serafinowitz, so I'm up 2.

Nothing.

You gotta see the rest of the mock.

You can't be making picks yet.

White guy is making a comeback, I promise.

Now , I, I, I like the train in Dukes big.

Right guy is making a comeback white guy.

What?

That would be both of us.

What would that not be both of us?

Why is that?

Why is that your nickname?

I mean, I'm white.

I'm a white guy.

What are you?

You're, you're left guy.

I'm white guy.

Uh, I'm Italian.

I don't know.

We're gonna, if we're gonna do it ethnically, let's lean in.

OK.

Uh, I'm a Jewish guy then, uh.

But no, uh, yeah, I, I like the Stokes pick.

You love trading Stokkes.

I honestly admittedly haven't been able to watch as much of him, probably as you have, uh, but yeah, the versatility, if that's what this Jets defense is prioritizing, which it seems to be what they're doing with the Mickey Fitzpatrick pickup and everything that Aaron Glenn has talked about.

Getting another guy out there who can play safety, who could play in the slot for you, who could be that do everything defensive back for you, along with Minka is great, and you know he's going to be, like, I, he's so, he's an NFL ready talent already.

Uh, he will be 25, by the way, he was born on September 11th, 2001, so that's.

I just saw that unfortunate, very unfortunate, very unfortunate for him, but he will turn 25 on that day, on September.

I only remember that because I saw some guy, not an engagement baiter, but one of those like accounts with a blue check and a guy's face, and he was like, draft fun fact of the day.

He was born on 9/11 .

I'm like, that's not a fun fact.

It's a terrible fun fact, fun fact.

Fun fact.

Our fun facts about Austria are, you know, imagine I had to do there, dude, I'm not gonna lie, when I looked up Austrian fun facts when Austria Jet fan donated that one of the things I saw was something that I was not gonna say on stream.

I know where you're going.

OK, uh, I was like, I was, I was like, AI overview.

How is that fun?

That's not fun at all.

Uh, Steve Bolzen has been very adamant about Will Lee from Texas A&M.

He's a bigger guy, Will Lee.

I, I, I just don't have him that high.

That 44 is very, I've seen 103.

I've seen days every day you take them, yeah, I've seen day three projections for Will Lee.

That'd be 44 would be very high for him.

But listen, man, we love, he's not bad.

We love both those guys I like, and then they're gonna overdraft him.

I'm gonna be like, well, I don't like him that much.

Yeah, listen, we love bold takes, especially in a draft like this, uh, my.

Pick now, 44.

Chris, I'm gonna make you happy because you went Emmanuel Pregnant at uh at 33.

Mike, I also want to draft an interior offensive lineman, one of these top 44 picks.

And I want to draft a guy who, even probably more so than Pregnant, has this guard center versatility.

He only played guard in college, but he's been snapping from some teams in the pre-draft process.

I think some teams are trying him out at center with the 44th overall pick in Justin's, the Jet press 2026 NFL mock draft.

The New York Jets select.

Keyan Rutledge, offensive guard, Georgia Tech, Mike, the rambling wreck from Georgia Tech.

The, well, well said, nice.

That's their song, that's what they do.

Oh.

And a hell of an engineer is the other line, cause that's the line, that's the song.

Sure, no, I believe you, yeah, I, I believe you.

I wasn't, I wasn't denying it.

Mike, the Jets lost John Simpson in free agency, and, you know, I don't think that was necessarily like a bad thing, you know, he, he took a big step back last season as a player.

Um, but he cared, he was a decent Jet.

He was, no, absolutely, and, and that I'm glad you mentioned that because the one big thing that they lose.

With John Simpson on top of a, you know, a fine to below average starting guard, right?

At least that's what he was this past year.

They lose that, that edge upfront.

They lose that, that kick ass mentality.

The dude who's gonna go and pick up your quarterback and and fight a dude if he gets knocked, if your quarterback gets knocked down, right?

That's what you're getting in Keyan Rutledge.

On top of a guy who is a, you know, 3 year starter, I believe, maybe 4 years , he transferred from Middle Tennessee, started the last 2 seasons, was a first team All-American each of the last 2 years at Georgia Tech, started all 26 games.

Uh, you're getting a guy who's just a, a, a mauler upfront, right?

A, to be a first team All-American lineman at a school like Georgia Tech too, that tells you consecutive the national media that interested in you consecutive years.

He is an aggress aggressive, competitive, tough motherfucker.

Like, it's pardon my French, that's what Keelan Rutledge is, and I think that's what this Jets offensive line really needs.

It's like if you hit him in the head and go bang like metal.

You, you need those guys on your offensive line.

Like he is the type of guy that you need on your offensive line.

And if you have Rutledge who is showing in this pre-draft process that he could play some center, so he gives you that guard center versatility.

You have him who could play guard center, Dylan Parham can play guard and center , Josh Myers can play guard or center, Joe Titman who can play guard or center.

That is a lot of versatility to figure out how you get your best 5 on the field.

I'm a big fan of Keelan Ruger Rutledge, especially at 44.

I have, uh, Bassantis higher than him.

I have Pregnon higher than him, but at 44, I love this value.

I think that he's a, he's a better run blocker than he is a pass blocker right now.

Georgia Tech ran the ball a lot.

They weren't doing triple option, but it was a lot of, you know, Haynes King running the ball, so.

I wanna see more improved technique out of him there, but again, they could, they could do that.

I think if he had lows, it came during pass protection like run blocking.

I have no concerns about Keenan Rutledge.

NFL athletes in a heavy dropback offense with Geno Smith throwing the ball could be some problems, especially early on.

It depends.

I, I think what helps him is going into being sandwiched in between Faschenu and Parham.

I think it helped mitigate.

Rookie struggles.

Uh, Chris B, I really like Yanne Pregnant Visantis Rutledge, but I wouldn't mind the Jets drafting Rutledge at all.

Yeah, Crispy crispy mentioned Rutledge.

I'm glad that I get to, uh, suffice here.

There was a really good quote in the, the Beast, right, from a, uh, who is this from an NFL scout on Keelan Rutledge.

He said, if the ACC had a royal rumble, I bet on this guy to be the last man standing.

I thought that was a great quote .

He just now, now that I'm thinking of that analogy that reminds me of, uh.

They love the X-Men Colossus, who's just this big metal guy.

That's what I'm thinking Keyan Rutledge is.

Brian instead of waiting for the developmental offensive tackle pick.

Mike, are you gonna tell him or am I gonna tell him?

because I don't, I don't think either of us have a developmental.

There was no Carter Warren in this year's draft.

No, there wasn't.

I, you know, I wouldn't hate it if the Jets did that because obviously Max Mitchell, Chikuma, Korafor, you can certainly upgrade there, but I, I prioritize other positions.

I, I don't hate it though.

If, if they, if they drafted off as a tackle 5th round, I don't think that's a bad thing at all.

I drafted with my number 103 pick because they don't pick for a while after that because of finally on the day three, an hour Bill Douglas and Hassan Reddick.

The day 3 action begins with another wide receiver.

This one's a little different than Makai Lemmon.

He's not an underneath playmaker.

He has limitations, but he is a run that way.

I'm gonna chuck it as far as I can, go and get it, deep threat.

So with the 103rd pick in this New York Jets mock draft, they will select.

Bryce Lance from North Dakota State.

Yes, he is Trey Lance's little brother, as if the Lance number 5 at North Dakota State .

Did they, it wasn't enough of a giveaway there.

Did they ever?

Did they cross over at North Dakota State at all, or no?

They didn't.

No.

OK, Trey, Trey was gone by then.

Yeah, I, I still believe that that stat is true that Tom Brady threw more passes his last year than Trey Lance's thrown in high school, college, and the pros combined.

That's ridiculous, which is.

Outrageous, but Bryce Lance, is he a great route runner right now?

No.

Can he run a, a very route tree?

No.

Has he only been beating up on FCS cornerbacks?

Yes, those are concerns .

That's why he's there at 103.

He is a big guy.

He's 6'3, about, I'd probably say, uh, 205, 210, maybe could beef him up a little bit, 215, complete speedster.

Great verticality.

Great ball tracking.

Knows how to actually get open deep instead of just running there.

I think you can teach.

I think there's enough athleticism there to actually teach him a full NFL route tree and actually start having it be a little more varied here.

I think he would start the year as wide receiver 4.

I think if they do this draft, then you get Garrett is your 1, Lemon is your 2, Mitchell is your 3, number 4 is Bryce Lance, a guy who.

He's gonna be limited early on, and it does seem like Arian Smith, like, oh, he'll be our deep threat guy.

Like I get that, but physically, you can't really compare him and Aaron Smith cause they're both fast, but Lance is a lot bigger, and I think he has a more translatable skill set.

So with this, now you get those four receivers, Smith and Isaiah Williams are still there for depth with Williams, obviously is a really good returner, Mason Taylor and Bruce Hall.

Dare I say an embarrassment of riches on the outside.

I like it a lot too, because you, you draft the floor with Makai Lemmon in round one, and then you go shoot for a ceiling with a guy like Bryce Lance on day 3, who's a lot more physically gifted than someone like Lemon , but is a lot more of a work in progress.

But you have the luxury to do that because you already have 3 receivers that you like in Garrett Wilson, Makay Lemon, and Adani Mitchell.

Uh, keep it simple, as was Lance in the senior Bowl.

Do you know that?

Do you know if he was?

Uh, I don't, I think he was.

Cole Payton was.

Let me check.

I don't remember if he was.

Did he go with his teammate?

Let's see.

Uh, not finding any.

I don't remember.

He was at the combine.

He got a combine invite.

I don't think he was, should have, yeah.

There's some guys you'd be surprised didn't get combine invites.

Uh, I don't see anything that he was at the Senior Bowl.

I'm not sure, but, oh, he was at the, he, he was at, he declined an invitation to the East West Shrine Bowl.

Interesting.

So he didn't go.

I don't think he had any All-Star game that he was at.

I remember Tyler Johnson did that a while back.

Jets legend, I was gonna say Jets legend Tyler Johnson.

He didn't sign anywhere, did he?

Tyler Johnson?

No, he was supposed to be like the, the best prospect at the Shrine Bowl, and then he didn't go, and then he did the whole I didn't want to get hurt thing.

Well, he was great at Minnesota, so I it's kind of surprising he didn't get a Senior Bowl invite, but All right, Mike, let's go to uh to my pick 103 here.

So, again, we, we kind of went similar with some of this stuff, right?

I, I do end up drafting a second wide receiver, but not yet.

So don't get mad because there's not a wide receiver at 103.

There will be a second wide receiver, just not yet.

I decided to go in a different direction.

And there's one position, Mike, that I think the Jets could use some depth at that, you know, 103 feels like the perfect spot for this, and there's a specific archetype that I was targeting here, and this guy made a lot of sense.

Mike with uh pick 103.

In the fourth round of the 2026 Jet press mock draft, the New York Jets select Will Kaczmarek, tight end, Ohio State.

Mike, that archetype was a blocking tight end.

The Jets don't have that.

They don't have a traditional inline blocker who, you know, I, I think that archetype of player is really making a comeback in today's NFL and is vastly undervalued by certain teams .

Look at what Jackson Hawes was able to do for for the Buffalo Bills last year.

Look at what Darnell Washington has done in Pittsburgh.

Washington, Darnell Washington is a little bit .

I am, I'm imagining Washington a bit more obviously more productive receiver than than Jackson Hawes, but that blocking tight end type, even before they got, uh, Jackson Hawes in Buffalo, Quentin Morris, who I think played with Jacksonville maybe last year.

Last year, uh, that archetype of player is very, very valuable, especially for teams that are trying to, to establish their running game.

Cause the NFL is kind of shifting a little bit more towards that heavyset 1213 personnel.

I, I feel like in these, uh, in, in recent years.

And the Jets just don't have that type of player.

They, they've tried Andrew Beckett it.

Jeremy Ruckert just can't.

He's, he's not that type of a blocker.

He's not as good of a blocker.

Mason Jeremy Ruckert's replacement though.

I would say this, yeah, right.

Ohio State as well.

Uh, I think Will Kaczmarek can absolutely be that guy.

6'5, 261 pounds.

If you're looking for receiving production, you're not gonna find it with Kaczmarek.

He only had, uh, 7.

61 yards over four years at Ohio State.

His most yards in a season was 264.

He's half of that probably came in, you know, garbage time when Max Clair wasn't playing, right, right.

He was the second time at Ohio State.

He played lined up in line 77.3% of the time.

It was a perfect compliment to a guy like Claire who is a better receiver for sure than, uh, than, than Kasmare, uh.

I think the Jets could really use a player like that in this offense.

I think it immediately takes any, you know, all the, all the snaps, they were playing Max Mitchell at at as they're like 3rd tight end last year.

Those are gone.

Those are going to Will Kaczmarek.

Kaczmarek can take some of Rucker's playing time as your best blocking tight end.

I think he eats into Andrew Beck's playing time as well.

There will be ways to get him on the field, and I think a guy like that is, is almost the, the, uh, what's the word for it, the unsung hero of a team's running game, right?

With Buffalo last year.

Like if you ask anybody in that Bills.

Building.

They're like, yeah, you know, James Cook did his thing, the offensive line did their thing.

There is so much praise getting thrown on Jackson Hawes.

You ask any Bills fan, they'll say the same exact thing.

I think Will Kasmara could be that player for the Jets, and I think that value at 103 is perfectly fine for a player like that.

See, on my big board, I had him, uh, 284th.

Yeah, you don't respect blocking tight ends.

That's not my problem.

I have other blocking tight ends higher.

Oh, who ?

Pure blocking tight ends, yeah, pure blocker, pure blocker.

Let's go to my tight end.

Marvin Klein from Michigan.

I don't know, man.

Eli Radon from Notre Dame.

Radon, Radon was more of a receiver, more of a receiver, but I was, I mean, Ron had rareon had 500 yards last year , like Nate Borkirerker from Texas A&M.

I've never watched him.

I don't know anything about him.

I mean, like he's not a bad player.

I just don't want.

I don't like having very minimal receiving upside, and I don't think he's like this.

If you're gonna have the, the little amount of upside that he has, you need to be like a Darnell Washington 6th offensive lineman blocker for me, and I don't think he's that.

I don't hate the idea of a blocking tight end.

We'll get to tight ends a little bit later for reference.

Brugler has him as a 4th round prospect.

Yeah, so we just disagree on that, but that's fine.

Uh, Sharon McLean is Logan Jones at 103.

If they don't go online in the top four, yeah, why not?

Is he available 103?

I, I feel like, I feel like I've seen him going earlier than that.

In fact, in my recent , in my mock, I had him going 102.

So, OK, but, so maybe he's not, yeah, we just missed him.

He might be gone.

So let's go.

There's been a lot of talk about quarterbacks, and I think the Jets are gonna take one on day three, a developmental guy, but not a Jordan Travis guy .

You you're actually a great stat, but in between the Geno's, when they drafted Geno and now, the Jets have drafted 5 day 3 quarterbacks and only one of them, Bryce Petty, is throwing a pass for them.

Yeah, well, it's James Morgan, Jordan Travis, uh, Christian Hackenberg, or no , Hackenberg is day 2, who was it was Boyd Gino Otaj Boyd, and then who's the other one?

I'm blanking on the other one.

Zach Rosenblatt tweeted it out.

I remember the 5 and the 1.

Uh, since Gino.

But now McIlroy is before Gino.

McIlroy was before Gino.

I don't know, and McIlroy threw a pass at him obviously.

Oh no, uh, sorry, after the first round.

Oh wait, oh, so then Hackenberg, there you go, yeah, Hackenberg was one of them .

So yeah, so not a great track record for taking Mike and even taking first round quarterbacks, it's a bad track record.

Look what, look what Chris B's saying.

What is he saying?

Like, I put it on the screen.

Oh well, let me go.

I was closing out a bunch of, uh, of the tabs.

I have Chris said Taylin Green is a QB project, but an athletic.

Well, how about this?

With the 140th pick, they select.

Tayle Green, we saw that coming.

Wow, Arkansas.

Now, couple notes.

So Carson Beck is still available.

They pass on him.

He goes a look in the next round of the Panthers.

Uh, Drew Aller went in the 3rd round to the Dolphins.

Because I think , I think they need a guy better than Quinn Ewers behind Malik Willis.

Cole Payton, the Jets have had a lot of interest in Cole Payton.

They have, and I think if he's there at 140, I think you take him.

They may take him at 103, and I don't think that's a bad selection for the value of where he is.

I went into Cole Payton's film wanting to hate him, and I didn't.

So I can't say that, but he goes right off the board, and I didn't do this on purpose , but he's going to the Falcons.

So they have all, they have all the, all the lefties, all the lefties, all the lefties, but Taylin Green.

Uh, frustrating might be the best way to describe him, because his team won 2 games, there were some meltdowns in the clutch late.

His decision making is horrible with a capital H of just, oh, I think I can make that .

No, 5 times a game, but There are traits, and it's not like Tyree Jackson, Logan Toms, like he's just where he's just big and fast.

There are quarterback traits to work with.

Like I think he's actually, his processing is pretty good.

He just decides really where, but he sees things really quick, gets to different reads.

His accuracy when you keep them clean is actually pretty good.

His deep ball is really nice, and he didn't have a ton of NFL talented receiver at Arkansas, and they were just at a talent, uh.

A disadvantage against some of these teams they were playing, so some reason and then his mobility, he ran for a 50 yard touchdown in one game.

I swear he took 4 steps.

It's, it's, it's like watching like a, like a racehorse.

He's just these big long strides, super fast, and the arm, it's not like a ballistic arm, but yeah, it's stronger than most.

This is a guy.

I know Frank Wrighth kind of likes his pocket passers.

Every single quarterback coach wants a guy with this level of just raw physical talent.

And look, I don't think he's gonna be the future of the Jets right here, but you look at his height, not just watch his highlights, and that's the player, that's stupid, but you watch like his five best plays, and you're like, oh, I want him so bad to be good.

I, I, obviously, if you look, if you're, if you're swinging for upside in this quarterback class on day 3, it's either Drew Oller or Taylor Taylor Greene, like those are or maybe Sawyer Robertson probably later on day 3.

I think in 80% of scenarios, Taylinn Green is not an NFL quarterback and probably never throws a pass in the NFL, right?

And he maybe he goes the Felipe Frank's route and he becomes a quarterback or the or a tight end.

Maybe he goes the the Tyree Jackson route.

I know that's that's the dream is you're drafted to be a quarterback.

I think he was on with Gruden and Gruden asked him about switching to tight end, and he was like, no, I don't have any interest in doing it.

I, I don't, I, I will rooting.

I'm rooting for him.

I hope he can make it as a quarterback.

If he can't, he is just such a ridiculous athlete that he's gotta at least consider switching positions, and I hate it.

Like I be in the NFL right now.

I hope he can make it as a quarterback for his sake.

I really do think he will.

No, I, I don't.

I, I don't, I don't think he's gonna be an NFL.

You just straight up think he's a receiver.

I think, I mean, look, I think worth giving it a shot because of the traits.

I think in almost in most scenarios, he's not gonna make it as a quarterback.

Maybe if he goes to the right situation and he can learn from the right minds, probably not with the Jets, I would say is, is if he wants to maximize his potential as a quarterback, maybe if he ends up, I mean, the, the thing is, it's like, oh, if he goes to San Francisco, Shanahan can work his magic.

He feels like such a bad fit for.

Shanahan offense like I said about anybody, yeah, exactly, and I just don't think it makes any sense there.

Minnesota, I don't think they're drafting a quarterback first of all because they already have, they have Kyler, JJ, and, and, and that's a fun quarterback, Kyler Murray and Tayle Green from a but and when size point of view and when that is, that is, oh, and when, yeah, you have two big dudes, two small dudes.

Don't ever talk to me or my son again.

Uh, I, I don't hate it.

Like, I'm not gonna be upset if the Jets draft Tayle Green on day 3.

It'll be fun, if not, if nothing else, Mike, it'll be super fun watching him try to play quarterback and in the preseason and looking at, you know, we're gonna get a couple of like preseason, we're not even preseason training he's gonna be preseason legend, train and train, even training camp legend.

You're gonna see the Jets social.

Media team will have a field day.

They will love Taylin Green.

So what, if nothing else, that will be fun.

And I don't want to sound like a circus freak.

Like he's got an arm and he's got accuracy and he's got stuff here, you know.

He's just the decision making is he's a really frustrating player to watch.

Like the, the, he has a little shador in him too where he just drifts backwards and drifts backwards and drifts backwards like.

he's fast enough to get out of it a lot is not so for sure, but it's, he's a wild player.

He's a very wild player.

Uh, I'll, I'll spoil it here.

I don't have the Jets taking a quarterback in my mock.

I, I wouldn't be shocked if they take one.

I just really wanted to address other positions.

I think they bring back Tyrod after the draft, and they go in the.

You know, camp with, with, uh, Geno, Tyrod, and, and Brady Cook, Bailey Zay, and then maybe to sign a UDFA.

I think that's probably what you're looking at is your quarterback room.

Maybe they added Tay and Green or whatever, but even if you are, that guy's not gonna be your QB2.

So I, I don't think anybody they're drafting, like, there's a lot of, we can address this one, MTO.

Said Carson back getting some first round buzz.

No, I see, I saw, I know you.

I know you know, take this off the screen.

Hold on, I know that NGO, thanks for subscribing and all that.

No, no, no, please, no, no.

Some people might be we put this out before.

I've done the PSA already.

He might be unaware that he said Daniel Kelly has him as QB was trying to avoid.

I know, I know his name if you say it enough, he just pops up in the back of your podcast.

I hope not.

That'd be terrible.

Uh, Bloody Mary.

Daniel Kelly was not an actual NFL scout.

I wouldn't be, I wouldn't be taking anything he's saying, uh, with.

Any sincerity, uh, at all, uh, but I, I, I, I also look at his Ruben Bain notes and then tell me that, you know, yeah, with all the scribbles.

I don't buy also the, the Beck first round buzz.

I would be shocked.

I don't, I think one quarterback goes round one.

I think it's Fernando Mendoza.

I think Simpson goes probably round two.

He certainly goes like end of.

Do one trade up for the option.

Yeah, even still, I think he ends up just going day 2 would be my prediction right now.

Cardinals supposedly are all over and then Beck is probably QB 3.

I think he's probably the 3rd QB taken, but I'm not sure that happens until round 4.

I don't know if Beck goes at all day 2.

This quarterback says, I think Beck will be better a year removed from the elbow, maybe.

Maybe the UC it was the UC of UCL surgery, is that what it was?

Tommy John, pretty much, yeah, yeah, uh, that it's clearly impacted his, his, his arm, uh, his arm strength last year.

I don't know.

I, and he still almost won the national championship, which is crazy.

If you're trying to draft a quarterback to like a backup quarterback to be a backup quarterback, I think Beck makes sense .

I think Beck's gonna be an NFL player.

I think he's gonna have a You know, whatever, a Gardner Minho is a bad cop for him, but like that type of career where it's like, yeah, in the right scenario, maybe he could be a spot starter for you, but I thought of as a number one pick for a while.

Austrian Jet fan coming in.

There it is with 10 memberships.

There it is.

What a guy.

Did you catch this?

Catch the wardrobe here, Austrian Jet fan?

Oh, is that intentional, Mike?

No, but wow, OK, fair enough.

It's not, but.

Thank you, Austrian jet fan.

I got this from my Austrian grandmother who's 100% Austrian.

I'm trying to, I'm, I'm pulling up a, uh, uh, an Austrian fun fact.

Thank you, Austrian jet fan.

All right, ready for our Austrian fun facts because Austrian jet fan donated memberships and, and every time we have to do this, yes, and I love doing this, by the way, uh, the Austrian flag is among the oldest in the world.

Legend has it already did that one.

No, no, it was actually extra context.

Hey, could you.

Could you, could you relax, could you relax?

Oh, legend has it that Duke Leopold the 5th fought in the Battle of the Acre.

ACRE is acre.

I'm, I'm assuming that's how you pronounce it's acre to me.

Well, I, I just don't know if it's pronounced.

I don't know if it's like an Austria thing.

I don't know, uh, during the Third Crusade in the 12th century and got some blood splattered on his white shirt, which looked like a white band on red.

And so that is the legend of how the Austrian flag was created.

Now, if that's other, whether that's true or not, I don't know.

Austrian jet fan, tell us if you've heard that before, if that's taught.

I'm a big Duke Leopold the 5th guy here.

Yeah, where, where do you have him raised on your big board of, of dukes, Justin.

in your room when you were a kid of Duke Leopold the 5th.

No, all right, uh, tier rank these dukes, uh, these Austrian dukes, Archduke Franzfurt.

He wouldn't, he wouldn't be able to compete in Leopold the 2nd's era.

It was too physical.

No, no, it was a plumber's league at that point.

The Duke Leopold, they, they would go to Saxony and they would get somebody to knock him on his ass if he tried to lay up.

Absolutely 100%.

What are we talking about?

Let's do 140.

It's Austrian Jet fans' fault.

No, we appreciate that in sincerity, sincerely though, we really appreciate it, buddy.

Thank you.

Always a Jet fan.

Hey, Gunder and and Techla fans, that's a wrestling reference.

Let's go, baby.

You do you, I don't think you know who they are.

You could, you could make, you could have made up names and yeah, you don't know.

You don't even Gunther from WB.

No tech from AW the most common name and the most common Austrian-German name, MTO.

I see you.

All right, I see you.

That Gunther Seth Rollins matomania was good shit.

And if you know somebody named Franz, it's like, well, yeah, there's probably a billion people in Germany or Austria named Franz.

There you go.

All right, uh, what were we up to?

Was it my pick?

140?

Yes, you're 140.

We're an hour and 20 in and we're only up to, we still got, we still got some more picks.

Let's, let's, let's try and blaze through these.

Mike, with my 140 pick, I said I'd take another wide receiver, and this is gonna be the pick here.

With the 140th pick in the 4th round of the 2026 Jet press mock draft, uh, Gunther won at Mania, yes, he did.

Uh, the New York Jets select.

Cyrus Allen, wide receiver, Cincinnati.

This is a guy the Jets have brought in for a top 30 visit, so they have done work on, I believe they brought him in for 30.

They've definitely met with him on multiple occasions.

I believe they brought him in for a 30 visit, uh, 13 touchdowns last year.

Remember when I talked about some guys being combine snubs and you being surprised by some.

I was stunned he was not invited.

He was a shock combine snub.

He was my biggest snub was him.

2nd team All-Big 12 last year, tied for 3rd in the FBS in touchdowns in a Big 12 school, and he wasn't invited to the combine.

That doesn't make any sense.

Had a really good showing at the Senior Bowl though that helped his stock.

Only one drop this past season on on 69 targets, and it just gets open, right?

Like , again, at the end of the day, that's what I look for in wide receivers.

Uh, and after getting a guy in Denzel Boston that kind of goes against the archetype that I normally target with wide receivers, I grab one here in Cyrus Allen.

Great route runner, mostly just because he's like, he's so quick.

He's a very, very, he's got quick feet, crafty route runner , not the strongest dude, but I do think that his ability to get open is gonna translate at the NFL level, even if, you know, he, he doesn't have, he's not the most physical guy.

I feel like he could be bodied at times.

Just the fact that he's, he's so quick and he can get open, and the Jets have done a lot of work on him, makes a lot of sense at this spot.

That's about the range I think he should go.

Uh, MTO.

One of the draft guys like Connor Rogers hyping up Alan with good reason.

He's a very good player.

Now I will say on his own team though, there's a guy named Jeff Caldwell, and Jeff Caldwell is a lot bigger and a lot faster , like the, the, the RAS tools guy.

Yeah, he's a freak.

He might be like if you have the chance to take both of them, I think you take him even though Allen was the number one receiver, quote unquote.

He's the they're both gonna be drafted, and they both should be drafted.

Caldwell is the Tay and Green of wide receivers in this class, yeah, a little bit, yeah.

Yeah, I mean 6'5, 216 pounds, he ran a 4.31.

That's insane.

He jumped well.

It's absurd.

That's that's ridiculous.

11/11 foot uh 11 inch, not 11 ft, 11 inch broad, yeah, or 11 or 1111 ft broad.

I he Bob Beaman, 42 inch vertical, ridiculous.

Please tell me you got that reference.

What did you say, Bob?

I said what is he, Bob Beaman.

I don't know.

What is that?

What is I'm sorry, American sporting.

He's an American hero.

Justin Bob Beaman, he set the long jump record with like 30 ft or 29 ft.

Sorry, I didn't know that.

I think it's still a record, like 1968.

It's still the record.

It's the second longest in history unassisted by wind.

They have to, they have to still like all of those tracks, he's from, he's from Jamaica except that one.

He's from Jamaica, Queens.

Oh yeah.

Good for him.

I don't know Judge, keep it simple, says Justin.

Where are you stashing all these receivers?

It took 2, took 2 receivers.

Aryan took 2 receivers too.

Get Aryan 2 receivers earlier than Justin, right?

I, I think keep it simple is being a little biased here because he said Mike's mock was better 3 pass catchers.

Because you have the tight end too, and didn't you also take a tight end?

No, we didn't get there yet.

You do take it.

I am taking a tight end with my next pick spoiler, uh, but also keep it simple.

Where am I keeping these receivers ahead of Arian Smith on the depth chart.

That's where I'm keeping them.

And with my pick, with the 179th pick.

In this draft, the Jets are going to select.

Dallon Bentley, who is a tight end from Utah, one thing that a lot of me and the top, uh, draft guys will disagree on, I think there is potential for Dallon Bentley as a blocker.

A lot of guys, cause he went to Utah too.

And they like a specific mold with their tie at least Kyle Whittingham did.

Dalton Dalton Kincaid.

They're gonna say Dalton Kincaid.

The name Doll and Dalton even sounds similar.

And by the way, 25 years old, one of 10 children.

I know who you are, Dylan.

I one of 10 got from Salt Lake City.

This man is like, I don't wanna speculates.

I don't want to speculate about someone, yeah, this is as morbid as it gets, man.

Like went to went to Utah, one of 1025 years old.

Shout out.

Well you didn't work.

Let's try Utah.

So right, but the, the receiving upside is what you get him for, even though he's only had the one year.

You get him for the receiving upside.

If he's enough there as a blocker, but you know what, they have an O-line coaching Steve Haydn, who was a former blocking tight end and a tight ends coach, not impossible.

He's got the size, he's like 6'5, 240 something.

He's got the size needed to be a decent blocking tight end.

I'm just this is kind of the opposite pick of of Kasmarick, but I think he's a guy that I think really fits in well as tight end too kind of lights a fire under Jeremy Ruckert's ass.

I, I , I don't think Ruckert is as ready for replacement as maybe you think, but I think there's somebody needed to light a fire who isn't stone smart and just never plays, and I think Bentley can be that guy.

Yeah, it's fair.

Last year at Utah, like you said, one year wonder cause he, he had 3 catches going in the last season, 48 catches, 620 yards, 6 touchdowns, 0 drops.

So very short behind Kincaid for a while too though, so, right, yeah, yeah, yeah, no, I, that wasn't meant as like a super big negative.

6'4, 253 pounds, ran a 462.

Yeah, I, I admittedly haven't watched him, so I can't comment.

On him, I, I like, I, I've, I've said this year multiple times, I just haven't gotten around to watching a lot of these day 3 guys, especially like a lot of the day 3 tight end class.

So haven't watched.

I am obligated to share, by the way, breaking news.

Uh, fan sites new NFL insider Jason Lockanfora, uh, recently posted his NFL mock, right, and, uh, he has David Bailey to the Jets at 2, so we, we, we can say that that he's a pretty, he's a Bailey guy.

He also has Carnell Tate going 16, so wow, David Bailey even as a Reese guy, David Bailey and Carnell Tate without trading up is a hell of a first round.

Yeah, it is.

Yeah, it is.

We'll try and get Jason about that.

I love to get Jason.

I don't know.

I'd love to get Jason on the show one of these days.

We gotta get Marcus on the show.

Marcus Moser, of course, with fan side of Justin Melo.

We got some really good draft people.

I'd love the.

OK, Lemon was off the board when the Jets picked, so Tate was his 3rd receiver off the board.

That's surprising.

Wow.

But anyway, Justin, your 179th pick, 179, this is uh round five.

I believe this is a position that you didn't end up going here, kind of, you obviously you had Arvo Reese, uh.

But with the 179th pick in round five of the Jet press 2026 NFL mock draft, the New York Jets select Cayden Curry, edge rusher from Ohio State.

Mike, I know I just mentioned that I haven't watched as much film this year as I as I normally would like to, I just haven't had the time.

I probably watched Ohio State's defense more than any one side of the ball for any team, and I have to, it's Reese because Arvell Reese, because Caleb Downs, because Sonny Styles one because.

Cayden McDonald, one guy that continuously stood out to me was Caden Curry, and I, I came away being very, very and Arvelle Reese last year.

Yes, obviously played as a full-time edge rusher.

Yeah, that certainly helped, uh, but I came away very, very impressed with what I saw from, uh, from, from Caden Curry.

Super hot motor.

That's the first thing that stood out to me.

Plays at 110% every time he's on the floor or on the field, uh, plays with his head on fire, like kind of kind of.

A little Bryce Huff in him with that.

Obviously not as nearly as good of a quick step or of the first step as as Bryce Huff.

6'2, 257 pounds, so he's not like this super long edge rusher.

He's a little, I guess, sawed off is how you'd, you'd put it.

Uh, not super long arms, but, you know, and he's not like the, the most nimble athlete either, but he's very, very strong, plays with a high motor.

Uh, I think he's gonna be a solid rotational edge rusher at the NFL level.

Also.

The college production out of, you know, top school at Ohio State, was a very talented player on a very talented defense.

I think the Jets could use another rotational edge.

Some people might go defensive tackle, like look to add another tackle on day 3.

I think edge makes more sense because you have, even if they're adding Arbo Reese, in this case, you'd have Reese, you'd have McDonald, you'd have Osa, you'd have Enekbari, and then Caden Curry would be your 5th defensive end, defensive end that is also kind of, you know, depending on where you're.

Playing Reese, I think he plays a good amount in that rotation.

He's better than Tyler Barron.

He's better than Braden McGregor.

He's better than Eric Watts.

All those guys, I think not hard to do, not hard to do, but I think it's a position that they still need to add more depth.

I think he would play a good amount as a rookie.

I don't think he has this super high ceiling, but I think he's gonna be a rock solid rotational player at the NFL level.

Motor runs hot, good instincts, good pursuit.

I think that that's probably his best trade as an edge rusher.

He's got a fatal flaw.

Short arms.

I know short arms.

I said it.

I know.

Well, not just short arms, I believe they were shorter than Ruben Bain's arms when they measured him at the combine.

So that, that's really short.

Like Cassius.

What was Bain?

He was like 30 6/8 or something like that inches.

Yeah, Curry is Curry is a bit smaller.

Bain was like 30 1/4.

Bain's 30.

He has like D'Angelo Poon's arm length, and he's like 6 inches taller.

Yeah, Bane was 30 and 7/8, uh, Curry is 30 1/8.

So, oh, basically 30 inch arms.

Talk about saw it off, but I, I think it's a very different conversation when you're taking a guy at 179 obviously top 10, but I, I, yeah, he'd be a decent pit.

That's kind of where I think he would be.

I just don't know.

I'd rather draft other positions before I draft a rotational edge after signing Osa and Ibare and.

I just don't want, I don't want any Braid McGregor snaps this year.

I don't want any Tyler Barron snaps.

I want, that's why you signed Enibare, but you're gonna, they're gonna carry 5 edges, especially if you're counting Reese as one of those edges .

They're gonna carry another, like, and I, I would rather be Caden Curry than any of the guys they currently have on the roster.

With the 228th pick because we are both in lockstep with this one, the most telegraphed day 3, late day 3 or UDFA selection I can remember.

Me and Justin both select.

You wanna say, or you want me to say it?

I'll Tyree West.

Oh, you got it.

OK. Kyrie West from Tennessee.

Yes, I really have never seen a guy projected to be picked here.

How many updates did you hear on Tyree West and the Jets?

Listen, hey, friend of the show, friend of the show, Tyree West friend of the show, Tyree West.

We were able to interview him and he talked about his meeting with the Jets.

They had a 30 visit with him.

Uh, they had lunch.

They did not have with David Bailey, so we're off that, you know, they may be more interested in Tyree West and David Bailey.

Who knows?

Uh, it'd be funny if they take Tyree West off this visit and then take David Bailey.

Without it, it's like, well, what are the, I know.

They had a, uh, a 30 visit with him.

They had a private lunch with him, I believe, but after his pro day.

Uh, you can check out that interview.

It's up on the Jet Press YouTube channel we talked about his meetings with the Jets and his football career and everything.

It's a versatile defensive line piece, uh, you know, rotational guy that could play inside, could play outside.

He's, he's a kind of that tweener mold, right?

6 ft, a little under 6'2, 283 pounds.

Never was a full.

Time starter at Tennessee only started a great pass rusher either, yeah, he had 4 sacks last year, uh, kind of just a rotational guy, right?

Like I, I get him for the versatility and you're getting him for the run defense.

Yeah, pretty much.

Also a good dude.

I, you know, again, I had the opportunity to speak to him, came across as a great guy when I, when I was talking to him.

So I bet he, I bet he's someone that interviewed well as well, uh, but clearly the Jets like him, and I think we both have him at this spot mostly because the Jets have just met with him so much.

Sharon McLean mentions Tyreek Sapp from Florida.

That's another guy who could go instead of Kane Curry.

That's about what they're projecting another day 3 guy.

That'd be funny if the Jets finally tookap and it was Tyreek Sapp.

So we want Zap.

We've heard you.

We want Tyreek Sapp.

So you want, you wanna go finish your mock off first, or, or me?

Well, you do yours because we've got, we've been going in that order.

All right.

So I'm with the last pick the Jets have, pick 242 right at the end.

They will select.

Eric Gentry, linebacker from USC.

I have, I have never in my scouting career seen a linebacker with this bill.

He is listed at Not gonna tell you that, not gonna say that out loud, but visually you saw it.

Numbers between 5 and 8, you know what they are.

Oh, he's listed at, uh, I'll tell you right now, he's just, oh yeah, his pro day 6' 6.5, so you can, you can get away and say that 66.5, OK, which rounds up to 6'7, uh, and 228 pounds.

It's like it's like Beetlejuice.

But he's, he weighs like 220.

It's so weird.

I've never seen a pure inside linebacker play like that, like that.

Was it, uh, what was the Wyoming linebacker a few years ago, Anderson, Troy Anderson, Montana, Montana, Montana, my bad.

He was, yeah, he was like a regular linebacker size, I think.

I thought he was bigger.

No, oh, he was a crazy athlete.

I know he was a crazy athlete.

I don't think he had any weird like outlier height.

I mean, it was 6'4.

That's, that's not crazy outlier 4 linebacker, 6'6.5, while being that skinny is crazy.

He's a guy, a very good coverage guy, actually played on the edge a little bit, you take Arville Reese and then you take.

Store brand Arvill Reese, with with Jet, just a guy where I don't really know where he's gonna play, but he seems like a nice collection of athletic tools for the Jets to kind of work with here, and that's what you want out of guys picked around here, which is basically a step above being a UDFA.

It's just when the teams pick around here, it's basically they're treated like UDFAs.

They're just saying, we're picking you to avoid the UDFA bidding war that could come for you.

This is just to secure that we get you.

And this is I think a nice little box of tools for the staff to play with.

Yeah, I admittedly I haven't watched it all.

I haven't watched any of Eric Gentry, so I, I can't comment on him.

But if nothing else, look, it's weird seeing a guy that big and that skinny play linebacker just doesn't look right.

If nothing else, special teams, right?

When you're drafting a linebacker, or special teams, God, when you're drafting a linebacker in the 7th round, the number one thing I'm looking at is can they play special teams and can they be an effective special teams player.

I'm looking at that more than I am.

Are they gonna be an actual rotation piece on defense because that's really what teams are valuing at this stage when you're drafting a linebacker or a safety for that matter or corner in a lot of cases or sometimes a wide receiver.

You're really looking at special teams.

So as long as he could do that makes a lot of sense.

Mike, we were kind of in lockstep with a lot of these picks, which again is funny because we didn't, we did not talk about this ahead of time, not at all, no, not once, but we, we.

We both drafted a receiver at 16.

We both drafted a Reese at 2 with 33 and 44.

We both took a corner and a and an offensive lineman and an interior offensive lineman, a defensive back and a lineman with, we both took a second, we both took a tight end.

We both took a 2nd receiver.

The only real difference, we both took Tyree West to the exact same spot.

Yeah, you have an edge and I have a green.

Because with this last pick, I also went to special teams linebacker.

I I also, which is funny even down to that, we were pretty much in lockstep with the final pick, the 242nd pick in the 2026 Jetress mock draft.

The Jets take Jackson Kuach, linebacker, Miami , Ohio.

Let's get a little matching up in here, Mike.

Uh, Jackson Kuach is somebody that they brought in for a top 30 visit.

I will be completely honest and say that I haven't watched him play.

So I can't speak too much on him even though I have him in this mock.

I'm sorry, I'm not grinding Miami, Ohio film.

uh, just too busy, unfortunately, um, but he's really good size.

I know, I know, my fault.

Uh, 6 ft, I, you know, it's funny, I actually watched cause I extremely casually will root for Kent State, which why would I do it to myself, uh, but I watched some Kent State games last year, but I did not watch their game against Miami, Ohio, so.

Didn't didn't see Jackson K watching that one, but really good size, 6'4, 232 pounds, actually played at Ohio State.

I say played kind of in quotations.

He walked on, he walked on at Ohio State, was not recruited to Ohio State, but that was his dream school, was spent two years there, only played in 3 games, only played on special teams before transferring to Miami, Ohio, and he only started.

Excuse me, I only started one year at Miami, Ohio, but I had 109 tackles, 3rd team all-Mac, uh, accepted an invite to the East West Shrine Bowl, so he was there.

He was also at the Hula Bowl.

Uh, just seems like a guy that I think has really good size, good tools that could probably play special teams for you.

And I'm looking for a guy with that size that, you know, maybe in a world he could develop into a Mike linebacker for you.

Cause I think the Jets need to get a little bit bigger at linebacker.

They have Sherwood there.

Demario Davis isn't small, but he's certainly not, you know, your typical Mike.

He's not Sonny Styles, right, who goes 245, uh, they can use to get, they can use, they can use some size at the linebacker position, and I think Kuach makes sense of some day one of him and Maui go is not making the roster.

This is a direct Maigoa, which is fine, which is fine, yeah, and you, you have them compete on specials.

You see who you prefer as your backup Mike, and there you go.

That's, that's the pick there.

Makes sense.

By the way, uh, Matt Miller and Jeremy Fowler said Bailey in their mock.

So all right, we'll continuing with, you know.

Continue with the 50/50 split, keep it simple as no kickers, uh, UDFA.

That's where, that's where you get them, UDFA.

If they draft one in the 7th round, I won't be upset, but UDFA just, just get one and just got one in undrafted free agency.

Also, while we were doing the mockie prediction markets went from Reese to Bailey and back to Reese again, so nobody knows it's gonna change 4 or 5 more times before tomorrow.

Like it's, I've never seen this.

I, I've never seen it flip flop this much.

I've I've also never seen this much of a national insider push for a guy and everybody just go, we don't believe you.

I've never seen that either.

Well, because all of, all of the insiders saying it are all like, nobody really knows, but this.

This is what we think.

Like that's what they're saying, which is like, well, you're not exactly standing on it then, you know, it's not like you're saying it with conviction.

Like, even Peter Schrager, who's been very pro- Bailey and saying that the Jets are gonna take Bailey, is like, nobody really knows.

Like the Jets have kept the secret.

That's hedging, that's hedging.

It's hedging and it's just, you're not saying it with conviction, which is fine.

Like, I don't want them to lie.

I don't want Peter Schrager to be like, it's definitely gonna be Bailey.

Like, I'd rather that than all the bullshit we got for weeks that like for, for like a week where it was like.

It's a foregone conclusion.

It's Bailey.

Like it's a lot that, that it's a fait accompli foregone conclusion.

Breer said fait accompli.

McShay, I believe, said Breer walked it back and at least was like, Well, I maybe not fait accompli, but probably.

Then McShay flips entirely and then flips back.

That's annoyed me.

Like, I don't mind reporters being like, yeah, based on what I've heard, it's probably this guy, but I don't know, right.

I'd much rather would have that than someone saying it's a foregone conclusion .

It's gonna be this guy when half reporters are saying one thing, half the other saying the other one.

Keep it simple, says gotta give AG credit keeping intel away from the media.

They are not telling anybody a thing and Muujie.

I, I, they have really been able to keep this.

Two people on this earth know who they're taking Darren Moojie and Aaron Glenn, possibly Woody Johnson, and possibly Woody Johnson.

Even then I don't think he remembered if they, and if that's the case, Brick probably knows too, and the Bobs.

You're right.

Jaime Elhai or whatever, who was a God, he's still there.

He's there despite some accusations made against him as well.

All right, so recapping these mocks, uh, my mock, the superior, obviously, OK, OK, has decided 2-0 in the chat, has decided in game one of the series, Mike, they decided this too early.

The whole laid out.

We both had Arvell Reese going number 2, but I had USC receiver Makai Lemon at 16, Oregon guard Emmanuel Pregnant at 33, Arizona defensive back Trading Stooks at 44, North Dakota State wide receiver Bryce Lance at 103, Arkansas quarterback Taylen Green at 140.

Utah tight end Dallon Bentley at 179, Tennessee defensive tackle Tyree West at 228, and USC linebacker Eric Gentry at 242.

It's good stuff.

Honestly, I think I like yours better than mine too, but remember, my, my, I'm predictive.

This was predictive.

I said Makai Lemon is on the board at 16 and I took Denzel Boston over him.

You think I would do that?

You think Justin Fried is doing that?

He's just crazy enough to do it.

No, I'm, I'm saying Darren Mo is crazy.

It's like that scene in play.

Amazing saddles where he takes himself hostage.

I've, it's crazy.

I have seen that actually and the Lord, he helped me, and he's taken himself hostage.

Yes, I, that's one of your references I get.

I actually get that reference.

OK, good, because they're Spaceballs is coming back.

So I figure you'd be up on the Mel Brooks.

I haven't seen Spaceballs, uh.

I've seen I have seen Blazing Saddles.

But anyway, my mock draft again, predictive, not necessarily what I would do, but kind of a like kind of a bit of a mix of it.

Uh, keep it simple so I will lose my mind if Lemon is there at 16.

I think there's a good chance he is, and I will, maybe I'm just hedging mentally here, like emotionally hedging where I'm just like.

I really want them to take Makay Lemon, and I fear that he's gonna be there at 16 and they don't take him.

So I'm like setting it up ahead of time, you know, it's like going into a game with the Jets, where it's like, well, I don't want to predict they're gonna win, you know, we do our predictions every week.

Well, we never do anyway, so no, I know, but even when like, even though the brief opportunities we've had when we've been doing the show that we thought the Jets were gonna win, I always was hesitant to pick them, cause I'm like, I don't want you know the crazy thing though is every time they won a game, I predicted a win in that stream.

Yeah, you're right, you're right.

The only time I said they would win and they didn't was the Dolphins.

Yep, which is fair, but I, I just always feel hesitant to predict good things with the Jets.

So maybe that's part of it.

It could be that.

But anyway, this mock draft, the maybe superior one, I don't know.

Has Arvell Reese, edge rusher Ohio State, going at 2 at 16, Denzel Boston, wide receiver Washington, 33, D'Angelo Ponds, cornerback Indiana, 44, Keyan Rutledge, offensive guard, Georgia Tech.

Uh, 103, Will Kaczmarek, tight end Ohio State, 140, Cyrus Allen, wide receiver Cincinnati, 179, Cayden Curry, edge rusher, Ohio State, 228.

Both of us have Tyree West, defensive lineman, Tennessee, and 242 Jackson Kuach, linebacker, Miami of Ohio.

Good stuff.

Make sure to direct all criticism to uh at Justin T. Fried on Twitter.

You know what, fine, go for it.

I don't care.

You can DM me.

My DMs are open.

I don't care.

Complain about my mock in my DMs.

I, I don't care.

Uh, before we wrap up, Mike, let's, let's do a little quick promoting, promote your big board one more time.

Yes, yes, so Fancied's top 50 big board, uh, is live on Fancied.com.

Make sure to go check that out because we also have 32 team-specific big boards, including a totally new Cincinnati.

Betty Bengals one that we updated with new players and pictures and everything after the Dexter Lawrence trade because we didn't want Sonny Styles and Ruben Bain at the top of the list for a team with the 41st pick.

So that's how out on top of shit we are over at Fancied.

Go check that out.

Also, my seven-round mock will be up tomorrow morning.

So go, I mean, you already got a preview of 1 32nd of it, so go check out the other 31 segments of it, and that's a seven round mock for every team, correct?

You are insane.

Yeah, you are, you are insane.

So go go Merrick's 284th on my big board.

That that implies that there were 283 ahead of him.

Take it.

I take it back.

I actually don't check that out.

Mike's just wrong.

You're, you're gonna get bad opinions if you check that out.

I always love when you put out mock drafts and people take issue with like 1/5 round pick, right, really like.

Jeremy Fowler called Carson Beck a sleeper, a mid-round sleeper for the Jets.

I don't even think it's a, how is it a sleeper?

I feel like he's been most commonly mocked mid-round quarterback, the most he's a mid-round quarterback projected to go in the mid-rounds, right?

It's like Cole Peyton, sleeper for the Jets.

No, he's not a sleeper.

He's one of the guys to watch out.

The Jets might take, uh, David Bailey.

No way.

No, really, sleeper, sleeper pick, sleeper pick for the Jets, Omar Cooper Junior.

I don't know, man.

It's like possibly ever do like a March Madness pool, and they're like, Oh, I got a crazy upset.

I got a 10 beating a 7 this year, crazy upset.

They're the favorites, right.

Um, yeah, no, but check out, check out Mike's big board.

He worked really hard on it, and I think it looks great.

Like visually, I think it looks awesome.

Uh, really cool project that we did here at Fansite.

If you want to go support what we do, go check that out and check out that seven round mock, even if Mike's wrong about his, his cosmic takes.

Uh, go, go check that out.

It's, it's.

Uh, is that the guy you're gonna dig it in on?

Like, I don't know.

It's the only one.

I don't know where you have , uh, I don't know what is it, what's a mid.

I don't know where you have Cayden Curry.

Where do you have Caden Curry?

I could tell you what, what if it's like exactly 179?

Wouldn't that be fun?

It could be.

It totally.

That's right around where I would imagine.

I think he might go a little bit higher than that, but.

I have him on my overall big board.

Yeah, I'm gonna guess.

I'm gonna guess 165, 193.

0, you're low.

OK, you know what?

Yeah, no, never mind, don't check it out.

He's lows over 16 picks like that.

If, if you're on day three and you get a pick in the, in like 10 or 15 within.

Change.

That's a win.

I'm hoping we get some of these.

I remember years back I predicted the Foley Faakasi pickets in the 6th round.

I had the Jets take him in the 6th round, and they did.

I remember for the Dolphins that for some reason it was their last pick of the 3rd round.

They took a guy, Channing Tyndall, if you remember him, yeah, linebacker, yeah, I'm like, oh, I got him right, and then he never did anything.

Same with um.

Danny Gray.

Oh, Danny Gray for the 49ers.

0, good receiver .

Oh, receiver.

That's right.

Oh, I was looking at Eric Ray.

I was, I got them both right in like a 3 pick thing.

I'm like this is great.

And then was he like what round was he taking late 3rd round?

Yeah, I was gonna say he was a high pick.

The Niners, you know, the Niners always get the compensatory picks, and then they draft somebody stupid and blow it like a kicker.

Yes, Cameron Latu, yeah, yes, Mitch and Davis Price.

It was one of those guys, Jake Moody, yeah, all those guys, um.

All right, I, I'll promote it one more time.

Tomorrow night, starting at the exact story, probably starting at 8 o'clock.

I imagine we're gonna say, well, we'll say we'll go live at 8:00 p.m. Somebody asked us actually earlier, uh, what time does the stream begin tomorrow.

We'll say 8 o'clock tomorrow because we're streaming from the first pick to the 32nd pick.

We'll be live for the entire first round of the NFL draft.

It'll be me talking to me for 12 of them.

You'll get, you'll get Mike for picks, and this will be, you know, tentative, so the schedule is set to change so I won't say the whole thing, but Mike will be there for the first couple of picks.

He will be there to imagine.

Briefly talking about that Jets pick at number 2, and then he'll be back for the middle rounds, 11 or middle picks, 11 through 20 is roughly around where you're gonna expect Mike.

We're gonna have Charlie Beweni, another member of our Jet press team joining us.

Jamie Eisner from the draft Network, now, uh, formerly of the draft Network, now at fancied a guy who knows the draft like the backers hand.

He has done so much work on this draft class.

We're gonna have him on.

Uh, you mentioned the Bengals' big board getting redone.

That was likely redone by our very own Matt Fitzgerald, who runs our Bengals site, another huge.

Draft guy who has studied this draft class a lot, uh, Levi Dombro from our Raiders site.

Uh, and I wanna ask these guys too, it's gonna be great having Matt because we can talk to him.

I want to ask him about Joseph Osai.

I want to get some insight on Osai.

I want to ask Levi about Geno Smith, about Dylan Parham, right?

These are, these are gonna be some fun conversations , not just talking about the, the draft, although obviously that will be the primary point of conversation, talking about all these picks, talking about the Jets do at 2 at 16, what they could do at 33 and 44, um, all of that, and potentially some other guests as well.

It's gonna be really fun.

Uh, I'm gonna have to pull Scott Hansen and just not use the bathroom maybe the whole time.

I don't know, cause it's gonna be a lot.

I don't know, but very excited for it.

Uh, so absolutely check us out.

We will be streaming live.

Jet Press YouTube channel.

It'll probably be streamed to TikTok or not TikTok, it'll probably not TikTok, unfortunately.

It'll probably be streamed to Twitter, Facebook, and absolutely on YouTube.

So definitely check us out.

It's gonna be very, very fun.

Looking forward to hanging out with everybody tomorrow night.

Uh, Mike, do you have any final thoughts before I sign us off?

Please don't freak out, guys.

It's Orville Reese or David Bailey, please don't.

I'm so interested because we'll be live.

We'll be live to react to that pick tomorrow, and I wanna see what Jets, I wanna see the Jets fans in chat.

I want to see their reaction tomorrow and see and see if, uh, people are excited.

Or if they're flipping out, people are, they're either going to, I don't know what position he plays their way out of an elite guy immediately, or I don't know about his run defense, their way out of a 10 sack every year guy, right?

Well, let's wrap up, uh, what is our longest stream to date, a record that will stand for approximately 24 hours because it will be broken tomorrow.

Uh, thank you all for joining us on the show today.
