Jo Adell Makes Guardians Franchise History in Win
Jo Adell continues to provide the Cleveland Guardians with much-needed run creation.

The Cleveland Guardians knew that they were getting an offensive-minded player when they acquired Joe Adell at the trade deadline.
But even at this point, he is truly exceeding all expectations since coming to Cleveland, and he even made a little bit of franchise history on Sunday afternoon in the Guardians' series-clinching win over the Colorado Rockies.
During the, bat-- first inning, Joe Adell drove in a runner on a base hit, in the second inning, he did the exact same thing, which makes it his 17th RBI since coming to Cleveland in the past two weeks.
And he's the first player to reach 17 RBI in their first 17 games of the team since Mark Reynolds back in 2013 during April.
He had 18 RBI over that stretch.
And the, Joe Adell leads the Guardians in RBI over this stretch as well.
It truly has been incredible to see just how much Adell's been able to impact his game, the game, not only just with his power and hitting home runs, but it's been really impressive just to see Joe Adell hit.
He's just taking whatever the pitcher throws him right now, and he's able to generate runs because of that, and that's something Cleveland was desperately missing in their lineup for really the majority of the season.
So it's very nice to see him come over to the Guardians and immediately make an impact and a franchise impact as well.
So far, Adell since August 3rd, he has a 262, 333, 541 slash line, nine extra base hits, and despite those numbers, he's even deal-- dealt with a little bit of adversity as well as he was listed day-to-day for over the past week with-- after fouling that ball off his leg in the series against the San Francisco Giants.
It's been very incredible to see what Joe Adell can do.
The Guardians hoped that he could make this impact, but they probably didn't expect him to be making franchise history this early on in his Cleveland tenure.
