Joey Porter Jr. Trade to Dallas Puts Omar Khan's GM Tenure in Question
Alan Saunders reacts to the Steelers trading Joey Porter Jr. to the Dallas Cowboys for a 2028 second-round pick and the return of their own 2027 sixth-rounder, calling the return underwhelming. He says Pittsburgh was right to hold the line on guaranteed money, since paying Porter would set the bar for future deals for Zach Frazier , Troy Fautanu and Derrick Harmon . But he argues the team let its leverage slip once Porter used the "back injury" holdout tactic, which he compares to Jalen Ramsey and Micah Parsons . With the best player from Omar Khan's first draft class gone, Saunders says Khan's tenure as general manager now faces serious questions.
