Very few cases get to arbitration in the NHL, but 15 players have filed, the most high profile being Dallas' Jason Robertson.
And we've talked about Jason Robertson a lot recently, because of potential trades that were nixed, contract talks that have yet to bear fruition.
Mike, I'll go to you first on this one.
What do you think is Jason Robertson's end game, and how does this play out either with Dallas or, you know, at the end of they, do they end up dealing him somewhere?
Yeah, it's just so weird when you look at Jason Robertson.
Like, he could have made a ton of money and gone to Seattle and been happy, and now he's gonna go to arbitration, and if it gets to actual, an arbitration hearing, he's gonna have to hear Jim Nill just slam him as all, for all the things he doesn't do on the ice.
It's like, why would you put yourself through that after what was a career year in Dallas?
Like- just get the contract signed or accept a trade.
But to go to an arbitration hearing, it's just like, why?
Why are you doing that to yourself?
You- you've already heard the criticism out there that, you know, Billy Guerin didn't want you on the Olympic team 'cause he doesn't think that, you know, you're a good player when the chips are kind of down or the physicality gets ramped up.
And now you're gonna hear your GM in Dallas basically probably echo those same sentiments.
So I don't know who's given Jason Robertson advice, but man, th- th- this does not look like it's gonna end well for him or the Dallas Stars.
