Jordan Spence On Tkachuk's Exit: 'I Think That It's Going To Make Us Better'
When asked if teammates take it personally when their captain asks to be traded, defenseman Jordan Spence said: "Yes and no."

In terms of they don't have a true top six, I think they're one guy short of that.
They're two guys short of that as of basically the last playoff game they played last year.
I think Pinto can take up one of them by moving up- Mm-hmm and having Cousins shove over, so now you have five top six guys.
And then I think that if I'm, if I'm pushed, I might go Ridley Greig, but I'm probably going with Warren Foegele to fill out the top six as an attempt to just sort of see what we can do here.
This guy has had two seasons in a row where he's north of 20 points, but more than that, he does a lot of the things that are slump-proof.
He might go three, four games without a goal, but he will do the forechecking.
He has the speed to keep up with the top six guys.
He will drop the gloves once in a while.
Great forechecker.
So, and on top of that, if he can get back, in three of the last four years he's been north of 20 goals, if he can get back some of that offensive mojo, and he did when he went from LA to Ottawa.
Just his time in Ottawa had him at a 31-point pace, and he almost exclusively played fourth line.
So I'd be inclined, if I'm coaching the Senators, to whip him up to start as my de facto number six in my top six.

I, I, I have Burakovsky in that spot on the second line with Pinto and Cousins on the right side, and I've got Foegele playing with Greig and Giroux.
I think that's the only real difference you and I have is that, that second line left wing.
I, I don't have a problem with Foegele up there at all.
I mean, if, if he can produce, maybe he provides a little bit of what Brady provided in that Well, he should be able to provide what Brady provided.
He should be able to play as a, as a power forward on the left wing, so that means that he should be able to play in either first or second line on the left side, right?
